Bandlaufwerk mit verschiedne Pools möglich?

Guten Tag, wir haben eine Tape Library die in der Vergangenheit verschiedene Jobs aufbewahrt hatte. Nun haben wir das Problem das die Library vollgelaufen ist und wir bestimmte Bänder nicht freibekommen, weil verschiedene Jobs die nicht ausgealtert sind das Band nicht freigeben und teilweise wegen ein Job noch gehalten wird.  Wir wollen versuchen jetzt in Zukunft ein sauberen Jobs auf dieTapelibrary bringen.  Kann man irgendwo in Commvault einstellen das bestimmte Jobs einer Storage Policy in eine bestimmte Medien Gruppe / Storage Pool der Tape Library geht und andere Jobs die halt eine kürze Vorhalte Zeit haben dann woanders auf der Library kopieren. So das sie nicht im gleichen Medien unterkommen? Vielen Dank für die Zeit zum lesen.

recover site collection for sharepoint on-prem version - 'Microsoft Sharepoint server subscription edition'

Hello Community,Seems like restoring a site collection through the offline mining option doesn't support if you check the SharePoint server requirements for Commvault offline mining; the 'Microsoft SharePoint Server Subscription Edition' isn't listed. https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/offline_mining_for_sharepoint_server.htmlif not support, what’s the method for restoring a site collection for the on-prem  'Microsoft SharePoint Server Subscription Edition' version? thanks

Last Job Update TIme lagging and inaccurate

Hi Techies, We have 11.32.49 and its job controller do not show correct job status / progress in Java console. Sometime it will update real-time, sometime 20 to 30 minutes delay. Thought we have open a support case and awaiting RCA. In the meantime, I am sure many of you have come across similar issues.  This problem that I explained above is with all types of jobs. In fact library space also messed up badly.

Hyper-V - Add VM Disk Filters - no browse option, as in VmWare

Hello11.28.111We are migrating one of our VmWare clusters to Hyper-V (licensing grounds -  Broadcom)We have disk filters traditionally on our DB servers, that also do DB Agent backups, to save backing up the data twiceIn the subclient under Vmware, in the VM Disk Filters, you get a ‘Browse’ option, that allows me to select the SCSI ID of a serverIn the subclient under Hyper-V, no browse exists, just ‘Add’Now I can choose a ‘Virtual device node’, but that doesn’t seem to allow me to choose a client, so I assume this is globalThe other option is ‘Virtual Disk name’, which scares me, as this is why I use the SCSI ID, as my VM guys often move servers around, which would make this break!If anyone has experience and ideas on this subject of what we could do, it would be much appreciatedThanksMark

PostgreSQL database restore FSBasedBackup

Anyone have some insight on the following:We have a FSBasedBackup set for multiple PostgreSql databases. Databases are quite big in size. There is a full backup scheduled to run once per day and log (incremental) backups hourly. Full backups are taking 1 to 3 hrs to complete.We often execute planned "refreshes" (restore point in time) of these backups to another environment.The idea is, if i select a restore point in time from a timeframe when the full backup was still running (full backup backup already completed successfully), Commvault does not discover any backup data during browse. If we choose to restore to any other point in time outside of the full backup, restores are working fine.Is this working as expected? Does this means that i do not have any recovery point during the timeframe when the full was running (looks odd to me)? HP MSA 2050 with Commvault

Hi Everyone, We Currently have Commvault commserv (All VMware Environment) targeted to HyperScale appliances. However, HyperScale 1300 is EOL/EOS. We have a spare HP MSA 2050 SAN storage available and require your advise before we configure it as a library.As HP MSA being an entry level storage, is it recommended to be used as target library even though disk speed are 7k for  HyperScale and HP MSA? Would there be performance issues as storage needs to mounted to additional server server to be used over 10 gig network as VMware does not have SFPs? Would configuring backups on HP-MSA give us same dedeuplcation ratio as that of HyperScale appliances ?

Intellisnap backup of an oracle database not running - Error Code: [32:392]

I’m trying to run an intellisnap backup of an Oracle database, but unable to resolve why it’s not running. The array has been added to Commvault properly, intellisnap is configured on the host, but every time I try to run a backup I get hit with the following error message: Error Code: [32:392]Description: Failed to prepare snapshot. : [VendorId [DELL ] for device [/dev/sda] is not matching for DellEMCPS]Trying to troubleshoot the error message and I can’t seem to figure out where I’m going wrong.

Is MPU used for 32MB objects?

I am trying to calculate the number of API calls that would be made for transferring to Glacier. Documentation says that objects are 32MB in size, are the objects uploaded in one 32MB Put or is MPU used at the default 8MB?

2019 iMac, i9, 128GB RAM, 4TB OWC SSD, macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, backed up by Metallic Endpoint (laptop).I’m getting the error “Some huge extended attributes couldn't be backed up” and “Resource deadlock avoided” on the individual files in an encrypted (Cryptomater) directory under iCloud on my Mac. This is new, only in the past 4 days. I’ve used Metallic to back up this machine for 4 years.iCloud is showing the “Download” icon, so some files are local and the rest are in iCloud. Aux Copy from StoreOnce to AZure

Hello guys, i need your opinion about what is the best rout to take in order to perform an Aux Copy from StoreOnce catalyst to azure. so my question is this :is it preferable to just create a blob storage and the create an Aux copy to send the data to Azure or to create a VSA StoreOnce to azure and do a copy Between the to StoreOnce catalyst ?what is the best approach from your side to this situation ?

Data Aging disabled for special clients

Hi, We have an issue with the aging of our O365 backups. We have set the retention on the primary at 14 days/0 cycles but we can see data from 2022 residing on it.There are not Jobs waiting to be copied on the secondary.The Forecast report shows for reason for not aging “DataAging is disabled for special clients”.Data aging is activated at every level I have looked (Client properties, Primary policy copy properties).Worm storage lock unchecked on the GDDB as well as Compliance Lock.Compliance lock is not checked on primary copy.I’d like to know how I can handle the retention on my primary storage.Thx for your help.
