Hello,I am trying to restore a Linux VM guest file to same server. I am able to browse the data and select the file that I want to restore. Problem is I am unable to browse the destination server. I am sure that I am using the correct credentials for the vCenter to browse. However I could browse Windows VMs. Here is the error I get: specified parameter was not correctAm I missing any configuration or mono is required on FRE server?Hypervisor: VMWareLFRE: CentOS7CV Version: CV11.23.17

Hello Team As far as I can see “Google Mail and Google Drive” (known as G Suite/Google Workspace nowadays) is deprecated within FR26. Is that really true? Google Workspace is getting more and more popular, companies use not only Microsoft 365, but Google bundle as well so I am really surprised that Google Mail backup is will not be supported anymore.Do you have some other info or news from roadmap? I am wondering if I can still use this “deprecated” agent to protect G Suite or it’s not good idea as support is finishing. Kind regards,M.

Hello ! Today I’m trying to dig the doc about Intellisnap hardware features.I mean that I have storage arrays that can be used for hardware snapshots using Intellisnap.I have setup my array(s) and am able to perform hardware snaps and make backup copies of the data : no problem on that part.But, I’ve been challenged to see if Commvault would be able to browse (and IE to potentially recover) hardware snapshots that were not initiated by Commvault itself. Hi Team,My Primary Copy is not using deduplication . If i enabled WORM at storage policy copy level , would there be any impact on backup library storage consumption .I guess 2x to 3x additional capacity is required only when we enable WORM on deduplicated backup copies.Please let me know if my understanding is right ?

Hello team, We want to filter out a group from a backup alert, and it works fine with other options. However, we noticed a strange behavior that as long as we select the option “Backup for subclient failed consecutively for n attempts”, Commvault will never evaluate the “Group Token” or any other Token that we set in the Token Criteria to filter out a particular group from being alerted. Rather keeps sending an alert for the particular group that we want to be excluded. I have tested this in different ways, but it does not evaluate any Token Criteria that I defined at all, rather ignore whatever Token Criteria that I set and send an alert right away when job status including (job killed, the job failed, job completed with errors, killed by the system ) I suspected it's expected behavior as long as failed backup job status falls in the above failed backup job status. But our customer wants me to check with Commvault to see if this's expected or that is something that Commvault needs to

Hi, I’m trying to record answer file for Commserve Active and Passive unattended installation. Unfortunately when I create custom package for CS with Failover it doesn’t ask whether it’s for Active or Standby Commserve, so the answer file I got allows me only to install Active Commserve. Is it possible to create answer file for Stanby Commserve installation? 

I’d like to move one MA from ComCell1 to ComCell2, what is the process? After migration, may I use CommCell2 to restore file from MA which backed up three months ago?

Hello,In the documentation for setting up a Hyper-V hypervisor for backup it’s stated that the VSA need to be installed on the commserve computer, I take it thats the commcell?Whats the purpose of it being installed there?Can someone explain the Hyper-V configuration maybe. I have done vmware hypervisors but no hyper-V sofar.Appreciate all help.//Henke

How do I to remove orphan storage policy with no associated subclients?

I have a media server containing several storage policies. Now I need to move one of the policies and files to a new media server. How do I find how much physical storages space the storage policy uses on the disks of the media server?And is this size the same it will use on the new server when moved (create new primary copy)?

Hi all, Currently user is running v11 SP25, Oracle backup was running fine until user upgraded Oracle firmware and hence the Full backup hit the abnormal behavior, failed and resumed and backup size will grow up to 33tb (actual DB size is 5tb) I am not sure what is causing this issue, from logs I only manage to identified that connection was  15873 460e 02/19 13:15:23 1336308 CCvNetworkServer::ReadThread() - Could not peek for data format. Error:'0xFFFFFFFF:{CCvNetwork::PeekDataFormat(6495)} +  Just wondering if it was network issue it should not be able to run backup at all. I have attached some logs, appreciate if anyone could share some idea which part to check on. Thanks.
