Hi Folks Im having an issue, with sharepoint backups, I keep getting the error Failed to impersonate with user: CommvaultSP when it tries to access the shared job directory.I’ve checked all the permissions as they should be and that account has full control over that directory Commvault version 11.36.46Any pointers in the correct direction would be welcomed!

Hello, one of my customers is running CV 11.32.89 and .Net 8.0.406. Their Security Team discovered vulnerability in the current .Net version and advised to update to .NET_9.0_SDK_(v9.0.200)_x64. However, in the Commvault KB I see, that manual DotNet updates to another major version (e.g. 8->9) are generally not allowed:Manual Upgrade of .NET Core RuntimeCould you please advise how the customer can proceed to handle the vulnerability?Best regards, Aleksandra 

We are preparing to implement a new Commvault environment and the tenants will be responsible for installing the client to their systems. As such, we would like an alert when a new client has been registered so we can associate it to the appropriate groups/plans/storage policy etc. So far as I can tell, such a thing does not exist. I would love input on how to best go about this. Thank you.

Hi Team,Some question on salesforce data protection through Commvault  How does the CV licensing model apply to Salesforce? Which Salesforce entity serves as the basis for CV licenses? Does CV support both capacity-based and agent-based licensing models for Salesforce protection? Is it necessary to use Commvault Cloud/Metallic SaaS, or can an in-house Commvault deployment on a physical server or VM also be used for Salesforce protection?

Hi ALL,Our client want that when we run a restore of a server from Site A to Site B the restore network speed should be 200 MB/hour. Is this possible in Commvault.I know that we can use Throttle Network Bandwidth at client level but not sure if enabling this will throttle restore job or not??Please help if there is any way that we can throttle network bandwidth for Restore Job??

hi,I need help creating a backup schedule in version 11.36 using the command center. In the previous version I had already created it without any problems because I used the commcell console.I have a subclient for which I need to create a backup schedule:Subclient1Backup daily incremental running x hourBackup full backup running all saturdayand the storage is in different media poolI can't associate two jobs to the same subclient, could someone help me?

When taking a Commvault VM Image backup it updates the VM on the vCenter with job no and last backup date which is very helpful for ensuring however is anyone aware of being able to update a VM on the vCenter with details of Agent based backups (SQL, Windows etc) appreciate any help or advice.

Im having a bit of an issue understanding how to backup proxmox VE,When I go to add the hypervisor I get the following errorI click that link and it gives me a commvault download that I ran and the services started, yet after an hour the same message appears, any ideas what I should check?

Dear Vaulters, We have implemented a new Tape Library(LTO9) to replace the old one(LTO8), our aim is to move the old tapes to the new Tape Library after decommissioning the old Tape Library to be able to restore the data from old tapes. My question is what is the action plan to make old tapes readable from the new Tape Library and what would happen during the restore from the old tapes. Appreciate your support & BR

Hello team,The task: Test a subclient backup, but not immediately but at a time specified by the customer.The basis is a PLAN to which hundreds of clients are assigned, so it should not be changed completely. In addition to the plan schedules, I have also found the option of starting a backup immediately.The possibility to schedule this backup as a one-time backup is missing Commcell console is unfortunately no longer an option for new customers. https://kb.commvault.com/article/82051Can you help or do I have to set an alarm clock in the future to test a backup?

Hi I have added the instance server with a subclient database. When snap management is enabled in the subclient, it does not detect the Array—Nimble. I have checked the passkeys.Array is not detected even after adding the array in snapshot management box 

Hello everyone,our DBAs are currently in the process of consolidating our Oracle databases onto new ODAs.These have HA capabilities with two nodes each and shared storage underneath.We already have a single node ODA for a while and we are doing regular Oracle agent backups on it.For the new HA ODAs the plan is to set up databases on fixed nodes and only switch to another node in case of an issue.So under normal circumstances backups will be just fine running directly from the node associated with the database. I was wondering if there is any possibility to set up this kind of HA inside Commvault?As far as I understand from my DBAs Oracle RAC is working a bit different with active-active configurations and is therefore not a suitable solution in our case. Maybe someone has a similar setup to share their experience with ODAs? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi all, We have a Server with Commserver and MA installed on it and I want to renewal on a new server. The MA have a local Disk Library of some TB of backups. I’ve refered the commvault documentation of Commserver Hardware Refresh but  I still haven't understood how migrate local disk library data to new hardware. Could any help me with some ideas how do this migration? Actual server has local disks in RAID 5 (disk library), that here are my backups. New server has local disk in RAID 5, to received that migration.  Regards!

Dear Vaulters,Need your support. nowadays we are moving vm backup from tape to HSX and some how index restore jobs initiated trying to restore big data apps backup from exported tapes which led these jobs to fail. One More thing: The initiated jobs are for the old SP index server not the new one.  In your point of view what can be the root cause for this?BR
