We recently updated our two Commserve’s to 11.32.65.In both CommandCenter’s the “Jobs in the last 24 hours” tile now seems to not reflect the correct number of jobs for each category.I monitored the failed jobs the last days and it always stated 0 although when I go into the list of failed jobs it is not empty. The other minor issue I noticed in only one of the CommandCenter’s is that the Health-tile is loading indefinitely.The Health report itself is working fine as far as I can tell. Is there something I can do to reset the dashboard to fix these issues? Thanks in advance!

Good morning,I want to set up a backup of SQL managed instances, does anyone have experience with that? What I heard is that because we run on SP32 commvault that there is a limit of 200GB per DB. Is that true? Because configuration and starting of backup I get an error message that DB cannot be exported.I use the following configuration:For Cloud authentication: Entra ID account with access to storage accountFor sql authentication: sql admin account with sysadmin roleApp registration created with access to the storage account.Thanks in advance.

I thought I had this previously, but it’s not working as expected.I have a VM that has been replaced.  The VM still exists, though eventually I’ll delete it an associated files.  So I’d like to stop the backup process. My initial understanding is that you stop the process and then backups are retained until the retention time is reached.What I did was went into the option and chose to RETIRE.  However, the VM is still being backed up.  There’s also an option that says Do not back up.  So I’m confused.  What are my correct stops here to stop backing up and ultimately remove this device?

Hi, I have installed this agent for one of my customers,Everything is working fine.I have two questions :1- Is FS is preferable over VTL ?2- What is the purpose of the SubClient "DR Subclient" ? Is it the equivalent of the Save Entire Sys functionality on the IBM i ?Someone has a how-to on configuring this subclient and what it involved running it ?My knowledge of AS400 is none ! Hi! We recently deployed 2 HyperScale X Reference Architecture clusters at a customer, and found out that: Ransomware Protection is not enabled by default Linux Firewall is not enabled by default In my opinion, in current times, it is strange that by default the solution is so insecure.Why are the firewall and ransomware protection not enabled by default? And will that be addressed in a future release?

Does Commvault support 100 GbE, 200GbE and 400 GbE Network for HyperScale X reference arcitecture  and commserver.On a 400G network, what is the maximum backup speed achievable? Can we reach 40GB/sec? Would using multi-streaming or multiplexing across the mount points help in achieving this speed?

Can anyone advise on best configuration for using Isilon as back end storage for on prem Commvault. Would you use Linux or Windows Media Agents ?

Like the title says, I am no longer to login with my AD credentials to my compliance search site.  I can log into the CommVault Console with the same credentials I am attempting to login with to the compliance search site.  I have used this site for years and no issues.  Not sure what happened or where to look.  I’ve verified in the condole: Security>Domains>*my domain* is working.No AD account configured can log into the Compliance Search piece.  Any ideas where to look for an answer?

Hi Everyone, Quick question – we’ve got SQL backups set up with Data and Logs pointing to different storage policies. Commvault support advised against it, saying that restores could fail if one MediaAgent is offline because the Full backup depends on the Tlog backup. Curious to know – is anyone here running separate policies for SQL backups? How do you handle the risk? Or is it just better to have both on the same storage policy? Also, any thoughts on using the "Honor SQL Chaining for Full Jobs" setting as a workaround?Would love to hear from anyone who’s dealt with this. Any gotchas here please? Thank you!

Hi Commvault Experts!Please advise us on how to change the retention period for the Office 365 Online Exchange. I have noticed that the retention period specified in the classical storage policy for Exchange Online 365 is not being followed. Indeed, I can see in the Data Retention Forecast and Compliance report that Data Aging is disabled for special clients.We attempted to adjust the Office 365 Plan: Standard Office 365 Mailbox retention policy—Received Time-Based Retention (under Policies → Configuration Policies → Exchange Policies in the Commvault Java Console)—but it didn’t help. After running data aging, old data is still present in the primary backup storage.In the Command Center, we couldn’t find an option to change the retention period—perhaps because a server plan type is being used instead of an Office 365 plan?In general, how can we remove old data that isn’t

My OneDrive backups have stopped working because the five App / Secret Key combinations I had set up expired. I created new App / Secret keys and deleted the old expired ones from in Azure. I then signed on to CommandCenter, navigated to Protect > Office 365 > OneDrive_V2 > Configuration, added the new App / secret key values and deleted the old. When I click “Verify connection”, I get:The application wasn’t found in the directory/tenant. ErrorCode: AADSTS700016Does anyone know where the problem is?

We currently have an old (v11.20) setup with the Commserve at a central location, and multiple mediaagents with local iSCSI SAN at remote sites.As we’re about to do a major overhaul since both SW and HW support are expiring this year, there is a wishlist item that I haven’t so far figured out if CommVault can provide:If a remote site goes offline, we want local personell there to be able to perform restores. We would still like to gather all backups at the central location(s) though, and have centralized overview and control when everything is running normally…So the question is: Can this be done? I’ve tried browsing docs and whitepapers etc. but haven’t found anything that seemed relevant - can you have server tiers with (limited) local autonomy but still have central management and control?Please also note that our whole environment is very much closed off to the outside world, so any form of cloud service etc. is a hard no.

Hi all,I am trying to create a custom workflow in my Commvault SaaS tenant (https://m100.metallic.io/). However, i couldn’t find this feature available in the navigator? Is workflow feature only available for on premise version of Commvault?

We are facing a issue with gust files restoration steps getting too much time after 95 % to take the Disk drivers page. Some time error occur for something went wrong. what is the possible cause of this issue.

Hello, I am trying to restore mailbox but i am getting error in Webconsole: Browse failed due to internal web server error. Please check DM2Web.log for more details.In the DM2WEB log on commserver i dont see any errors. When i am trying to restore from java console the option to browser and restore is grey out  Do i still need to install outlook app on the MA to browser?

Hello Commvault Community,I hope everyone is doing will.  Commvault support recommended rebooting our VMWare, VSA access nodes to resolve the high number of VM backup failures errors below (x4 access nodes):(1) Could not read data from the virtual disk. (2) VDDK thread timeout, possible VDDK deadlock encountered After the reboot, I created a test subclient adding four of the affected VMs.  he backup was kicked off manually.  Rebooting the access nodes appears to have worked.  The backups are running with no error. I have a large amount of VM jobs Queued because of a blackout window (7:00am 5:00PM).  These jobs are configured to use the recently rebooted access nodes. I noticed some of the VMs under the queued jobs have the errors listed above. Question: Should I kill these jobs and allow a fresh scheduled job to start or will the Queued jobs reset the VM’s that have errors?  Thank you.
