Hello,How does Commvault support backup and restore of Microsoft Planner? I know there is some data in Sharepoint and Exchange online. Is it enough to backup this and is it possible to directly restore the data back to Planner?Thanks and regards,Thomas

Hi,Quick question.Currently running version 11.32.xWhen using Java client we can select how many number of streams the restore should use, or to preserve or remove source path.When using web command center for the restore, those options are not available. the only thing we can chose is the destination server, path, ACLs and unconditional overwrite.Is there a way to have the option to preserver or remove source path when using web command center?  

hello guys,first time deploying commvault with nutanix AHV, after deploying the qcow2 frel image the process doesn’t seem to take the deployment script :CS_IP_OR_FQDN=commserve.domain.localCS_SHORT_NAME=CommServeClientNameCS_USERNAME=adminCS_PASSWORD=YourPasswordFREL_CLIENTNAME=FREL-AHV01ROOT_PASSWORD=StrongRootPassw0rd!i want to precise that as of now the vm does not take an ip, ipam or dhcp is not configured. root password is not applied, so can’t access the vm, tried to reset it using rd.break or other methods without any success, what’s frustrating is that i have no point that i can use to start troubleshooting.using CV 11.40AHV FREL 11.36

Hello Team,We have commvault standalone host and planning to move to high availability which Live sync feature.Could you please share the  steps to move with it and it will be helpful if I can get from basic.

Every time I log into Command Center the main menu (top left hamburger) is always minimized. I tested this on Chrome and Edge. I’m running Commvault 11.36.72. Is there any way to change the default behavior so that the menu is expanded by default? Having to click that hamburger every time is quite annoying, and I don’t think my brain is ever going to associate the icons with their intended meanings.Thanks 

I have inherited a Commvault setup running mainly on Nutanix (A little VMware) spread across 3 sites, unfortunately the 1 person that knows this setup was laid off.  I am looking for a way to identify all the Commvault infrastructure across all sites.  I think I have the server names, but not necessarily all the services installed.I am new to Commvault, still stumbling around the interface….Any pointing to docs on how, powershell scripts, ??? appreciated.Thanks Tim

We'd like to change model license of Commvault from "Per frontent (TB)" to per VM due to protection data has been changed and we considering license per Frontend is not fit for those clients data usage anymore. Please kindly suggest method to a smooth and less effort to change commvault license and transfering data to the new license CCID.We're not sure that we need to setup new Commserve server and MA or we can easily replace license key in Commserve and upgrade version of CommServe and agents in clients.

Dear Team, We are currently running our CommServe (CS) and Media Agent (MA) on the same physical server with RAID-5 disks. Recently, we encountered an issue with the disk library where the mount path went offline due to data corruption. As a result, we are unable to access the mount path drive.The affected hard disk has been removed and handed over to a third-party company for data recovery. The disk contains critical data such as email archives, file system backups, SQL, Oracle, and VM backups. Hi all, I wonder if anyone has encountered this issue.   I am getting NDMP Netapp Intellisnap backup failure.The problem is the backup keeps using the wrong Media Agent which is not even defined in the Array management definition of Remote MA for the Netapp arrap in question. In fact the remote MA definition is blank.   I tried to manually define the remote MA using the correct MA but it keeps using the wrong MA. Hi, Some of my colleagues and I have noticed that as of recently, the ‘Expert’ section on https://documentation.commvault.com appears to no longer be available, as least not the way it used to be. The section does not appear in the navigation, regardless of whether viewing documentation for 11.32, 11,40, etc.;  The section can still be accessed by navigating to a specific URL (e.g.: https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/troubleshooting_restores_oracle_agent_01.html) though it will redirect to /commcell-console/ rather than /expert/. We are trying to access the Commcell JAVA GUI from the outside Comm server. From the client we are able to download the galaxy.jnlp and launch. During the login we are getting the error message unable to connect to Commcell.  Is there any specific ports need to be opened at Firewall except 80 and 81? 

Hello all, We have a typical Hyper-V environment with about 50 VMs. We're performing full backups daily.. For offsite copies, we use a GFS (Grandfather-Father-Son) backup setup with a tape library with daily/weekly and monthly/yearly retention policies.Everything runs fine overall—we just need to manually delete daily tapes after a week due to retention issues with big data apps  not syncing correctly with the planned retention schedule. This is manageable on our end.The real issue is with restores. We have a backup site that is fully offline and is a clone of the primary site. When we try to restore VMs, most restore fine and grab the index from the daily tape. However, some VMs require indexes from other tapes. To restore all VMs, we often need 2–3 additional tapes from within the 7-day window. In other words, not all indexes are stored on a single tape—this is evident from the index size per tape.It seems the problem is related to the

I have exceeded my capacity license. I ran a license summary report and identified a number of sub clients which i could disable. After disabling backup activity at the subclient level, and after running data aging these subclients were still featuring on the license capacity report. Why are licenses not being released. In several cases i v also released license for client , and the license did not release.

Hello all,In a recent maintenance update, Commvault fixed the Catalog and Merge functions, but we are still experiencing issues with the Restore functionality. There is no option to restore a VM to a Hyper-V standalone host using VSA. It asks for a proxy (presumably for VMware), and there is no option for Hyper-V.Commvault support has not been forthcoming. They claim that Hyper-V is supported, but we don’t see how.  When we ask for instructions, they just ask for logs — which they already have. Has anyone else tried to catalog and merge a tape and restore VMs in a Hyper-V environment?

Hello Commvault Community,I recently installed Commvault in a test environment and am encountering an issue with administrative tasks.I currently have only one profile available, which is the default admin account, and I do not have any other accounts. However, when attempting to delete clients, libraries, or storage policies, I receive a message stating that the request has been sent via email and will be processed once approved.I have verified that my admin user account is configured as an administrator and has the appropriate roles and privileges. I would appreciate any guidance or solutions you could provide to help resolve this issue.Thank you in advance for your assistance.
