Buen día reciban cordial saludo.De su amable ayuda, los backups de 16 máquinas virtuales  salen con errores o con backup fallidos y necesitamos consultarles si es posible configurar a Commvault para que realice esos backups sin tener en cuenta el tema de los snapshot ?Los errores que arroja el sistema son como los siguientes:(Es un tema que no no es posible resolver desde el área de Infraestructura por temas de capacidad y obsolescencia de los equipos). 

Hello,I’ve created 1-touch recovery dvd using this procedure https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/1_touch_for_linux_single_stage_dvd.html but when I try to boot from the media I’ve created the system cannot mount dvd and cannot find /dev/hd* devicewhat could be the reason?

The doc state:  Use a volume dedicated to the index cache directory formatted with a block allocation size of 32K.(Best Practices (Indexing Version 2) Is this the LogicalSectorSize [Bytes Per Sector] or PhysicalSectorSize [Bytes Per Physical Sector] in a Windows server NTFS volume or is REFS type to be prefered ?

Hello,is there a way to configure the format of a PDF report created in CommandCenter/Webconsole? I know there is an additional setting for reports greated in Java GUI, but this is not working in CommandCenter.Thanks and regardsThomas

Title says it all. This client is in my left sidebar of the Java Console, containing an Agent called “BigDataApps”. The install date is in April 2018, which is when we set up Commvault in our environment - I was not present that for, and none of my team knows what it is either. Is it some default sub-component of Commvault? I looked in the Documentation Search and besides references to REST API, I can’t find anything definitive.

Hi,I have a problem in exporting emails to CAB files. The job isn't starting and display an error message. Note: export emails to PST file are working fine.

We want to use encryption for our backup to ensure that our backup data is secure, and when we restore the backup, the decryption key must be required. 

I cannot login to cloud.commvault.com it is telling me invalid username or password

Does a return code “0” mean that the backup was completed successfully and no files have been skipped? Is there an official link that can confirm these codes? Asking because we want to use the status code “0” in an automated process.

We have over 100 systems in our CommCell computer group and most of the systems are backing up just fine. We have two schedules, a monthly full on the first Friday of each month and weekly incremental jobs. However, on one large file server, the incremental backups are routinely being converted to fulls. I see these messages in the job history: Backup job has been converted to a full backup because Data   Verification detected errorsThe full backups are causing quite a load on the file server. Looking at the job history, about ½ of the jobs are being converted from INCR to FULLs. How do I track down what is causing the verification errors so that it doesn’t have to convert incremental to fulls? Thanks,Q

Hello,Lately we’ve been seeing the “Error Code: [17:179]Description: Following errors occurred while scanning: [Failed to scan the content]” popping up on some of our Windows file system backups, causing them to fail. The subclients of said servers have no content specified, they backup everything. I’ve also tested with only backing up drive C:\ but the same error appears. When I check for the VSS state they all appear “Stable” and show “No error”. I’ve also tried running backup without the “System State” option just in case. Looking at the logs, I can’t really see a real reason as to why this would happen. Has anyone faced this issue before? Hi  We have multiple archive and cleanup policies, and we want to assign them based on Active Directory (AD) group membership. However, we’re encountering an issue where the default policy takes precedence, even when a user is a member of both the general group and a specific group.Our goal is to ensure that the policy assigned to the specific group overrides the general/default policy. How can we adjust the priority or enforcement logic so that users always receive the more specific policy when they belong to multiple AD groups  

Hi guys. A simple question¿How can I enable the file system agent of CommServer on the CommcandCenter?Since version 11.34.X the Commcell Console is not “available” so I not able to do it from there.File system agent is obviously installed as it is the CommServer but not available under the Protect > File Server list. Regards.

Hi all, a new Commvault user here.We are trying to perform a restore from a tape. However, the "Mark for Catalog" option is missing in the Command Center. It's a feature in the CommCell Console, which we don't have access to.This is a standard feature that we need in our backup policy. What is the best way to restore VMs directly from tape (without the database or sync) ?

If an administrator mistakenly removes clients from a schedule policy, where can we retrieve the client details? Where can this list be retrieved to reconfigure the clients back onto the schedule policy?

Hello,In Commvault two DB backup job done. But showing one Full backup Commvault backup size is (760.83 GB) which is higher than the original size(551 GB). Another Differential backup Commvault backup size (18.33 GB) which is higher than the original size (14.69 GB).I have attached some images. Please check this and tell solving process.
