Hi,today I observed, that putting all of my MediaAgents to Maintenance for specific site, caused scheduled backups to fail with: no access nodes online.I use the MediaAgents as AccessNodes for the Vmware installation in that site, and expected all jobs to go to waiting or queued state instead of failing.Is this the expected behavior? I did not deactivate backup activity on any client resource.Currently running on V11.32.28rgdsKlaus
Greetings,We have migrated our user base over to utilizing the Command Center for performing restore tasks. As this is the case we are looking for a way to redirect the URL for the web console to the admin console. Thus far we have only been able to find ways to restrict access to the web console but not to redirect access. I have reviewed the documentation but have not had any luck in locating anything that will do what we need to do. Has anyone accomplished this in your own environment, if so how did you go about this. Thanks,-CEH

Hi,Every day, after backups, VM machines are discovered that are not used for backup and do not have agents installed. Removing them from "client compters" doesn't help. VMs have never been used for backup. I ran tests on another environment and after removing the VM this situation did not occur.Commvault version is 11.24.90. The situation was the same before the upgrade.Is there a way to turn off auto discovery from vcenter?

Hello,we have customer with SAP Installation based on DB2 which on Netapp NFS Storage.We would like to use Intellisnap Snapshot function with DB2 and NFS Volumes.If I check the Intellisnap Matrix :https://documentation.commvault.com/snap/#/storage_check?fq.EngineName=NetApp&fq.protocolName=NFS&fq.AgentName=DB2Intellisnap is not supported with NFS & DB2.Is this still correct - because in general it is supported why not with NFS or is there any newer information which I missed.Thanks for a short update here.Thx & BRMarcel
Trying to do a decoupled installation of the agent on a RHEL server. Can complete the decoupled installation on the client without issue however when going to add the client in Commserve and using the option “Fetch the configuration information from the client that is already installed in decoupled mode” there is no option to tell it to use the Network Gateway that all remote agents connect through. How can this be achieved?

Hello, I’m running PostgreSQL v13.14 on RedHat 8.9 I want to restore a PostgreSQL Instance from FSBasedBackupSet.This will only work if I made a Full backup before I start the restore. Hello,We have bought a new tape library and we want to create some auxiliary copy jobs to run on a weekly basis for 4 storage policies only for the full backup job's(the client schedule is a full once a day/incr every 1 hour)The auxiliary copy jobs must all run during the weekend and occupy not more than 2 tapes( we have tapes with big capacity-16TB) because we have only 8 tapesThe question is, how can we make the copy jobs to write and fill up one tape and after to try and fill up another tape when the first one is full?For example: after the first copy jobs is finished, the second one needs to use the same tape like the first one (if there is still space available of course)and when the tape is full, write on another one and so onBest regards,Stefan

I want to fetch the job details by “job started by” and “job started from” job started by will give the admin/system who started the joband job started from will give started by schedule or manual or gui etc. Motive is to get the job details with the schedule details as well such that I can filter out only scheduled jobs excluding manually initiated jobs. I created a storage policy and changed the storage policy from one of our Postgres clients to this new one storage policy. Storage Policy used for all Archive Log backups from the old one to new one: SP_PJe-2G. Data Storage Policy from old one to new one: same SP_PJe-2G. I ran some Incremental jobs, just log backups, and today I realize that during the Full Backup Job there was a comunication between the new MA server cvault-ma-20 and the old one, cvault-ma-02. This new storage policy has the following Data Path Properties. The MA server cvault-ma-02 is not a member of the Storage Pool STGPOOL_SC05.Why the new MA server, cvault-ma-20, is talking to the old MA server cvault-ma-02? ANOTHER QUESTION: 10.1.66.47 is the other MA server on Storage Pool STGPOOL_SC05. I suppose that there is communication between the client and both of two servers because of deduplicating process. IncrementalSpecifies the job as an Incremental backup, which backs up only that portion of the data that is new or has changed since the last backup. will there be any record in incremental backup if a file has been deleted since last backup. For ex: i have full backup on sunday and then incremental and next sunday synthetic full , how does the system track the deleted files or file that has not changed since last full backup. i tried to restore a folder to different location. it worked fine , then i deleted a file from source and performed a incremental and restored but the deleted file is still there in the restored location .
