Hi all,since I am still struglling to understand the procedure of Media Agent +DDB and Disk Library deletion I would like to open this thread and with your help summarize the proper procedure. Brief description of the situation: Disk Library and associated DDB - Contains no relevant data, maybe only some unimportant leftovers - Haven’t been used due to other available DDB stores and storage arrays. - Disk Library and DDB mount paths/partitions are in an offline state.   Current state: - Old Media Agent is stopped and no longer accessible.  How can we properly remove both the old DDB and Disk Library? Disk Library Deletion: Is it possible to delete mount paths that are in an offline state? If not, is there an alternative workaround? I assume that once the mount paths are deleted, deleting the Disk Library should be possible.

Here's our situation:We have a SQL server that was originally on-premises and backed up entirely by Commvault. We've since migrated this server to Azure, but we're maintaining a hybrid backup approach: Azure Backup is now handling most of the server's data Commvault will be managing the SQL backups We'd like to separate this into two distinct clients in Commvault:An on-premises client (historical/inactive) for our legacy data and backups, renamed with the onprem location as a suffix. Hello!In our o365 Commvault environment we have around 1,000 mailboxes / OneDrives that are either “Deleted” or in “Do Not Backup” state.The o365 Plan is to “Retain messages indefinitely”, as it is also the only option.All these accounts are from ex-partners, that are not currently working in our Organization and we not really need to keep their backups.So, Im looking a way to delete all these backups from their Exchange online and OneDrive, in order to save also some space in our Backup Repository.Is there any way to achieve this?Thank you in advance,Nikos

Hi Team,As part of our organization's security policy review, I would like to inquire about specific features offered by Commvault regarding password management:  One-Time Password Policy: Does Commvault provide a functionality that prompts users to change their password upon their first login or during a password reset process? Forbidden Password Combinations: Is there a feature that prevents users from using their usernames as part of their passwords, or any other configurable restrictions on password combinations?  

 We want to take a backup out of place, but we get the following error: Recovery operation failed to reach the specified PIT/SCN for this job. Please check the logs for details. Try to open database using sqlplus or submit new recovery job.

why mysql doest have option for inplace and out of place as other db has , i know you can choose other server or instance , but for every other restore option it doest show like inplace ,outofplace etc.. is there anyway we can do restore to disk as flat files mysql

How do I create an event viewer type alert in the web console command center.  The documentation I’ve review only shows how to do it if you have the java client version.  We only have access to the web version.I’ve tried adding a Alert Definition, but there isn’t an event viewer type to choose from.

Dears I have many tapes kept for only one un-aged jobs and I plan to perform tape refresh on specific tapes picked manually.When I try to enable media refresh on storage policy copy level I see the parameters for auto picking tapes.How to bypass these parameters ?

Hi everyone,I activated compliance lock on a storage policy, which prevents me from deleting any backup data linked to that policy. Afterward, I created a new library & Storage pool with a different storage policy, but I'm still using the same subclient as before. Given this new setup, why am I still unable to delete backup data after backing up new content?Thanks.
