Im planning to move the web server/console out of the Commserver to reduce the load on the Commserve.  I would like to implement it in 2 sites ( active/active ) if possible to attain resiliency and high availability. This is sort of a hardware refresh with 2 additional web servers/consoles being built in 2 sites.  Hoping for some guidance on how to achieve this goal.Thanks for any information provided

Hello all!We do have a problem with a Windows server.There was server XYZ which was migrated to Server 2022.So a new server with the same name was created in VMware XYZThe old server was stopped, and new server was addressed with the same IP.Old server was renamed in VMware to XYZ_old.And now we do have a problem….We do have two entries in CommvaultXYZ and XYZ_oldFor VMware snapshot XYZ is our server which will be backed up.But after installation of SQL and FS Core package on NEW server it somehow appears on XYZ_old server… and whats even funnier i am able to browse server, and configure SQL backup. So wo have two entities in commvault now:XYZ_old which contains an FS and SQL agentXYZ which contains VM backup. In VMware the original XYZ server is not existing any more! it was deleted. I have released licensees for the old server, reconfigured it, retired and tried to change ip, but still when we install FS core on this server it continues to install on the XYZ_old…We have tried to merg

Hi ,I am trying to send an Daily Job summary report to Helpdesk team and keep my Manager in CC from COmmvault.But there is no option for “cc” field, it;s there in Alert section but not in reports.Can somebody help me if there is any option to customize the report and add CC form? 

Hello Community,I am a tenant admin in Commvault so I don't have access to Commcell or Java console. But I can add NAS, servers, virtualization. I currently have a problem with NAS backups from Isilon and each incremental job takes 7 or 8 hours. The data size is 1TB and there are more than 2 million files.I first added a NAS, i.e. Isilon (with array), using add server and then a CIFS subclient as backup source. Since we already started with version 11.28, I assume that the changelist for Isilon is enabled. But I don't understand why an incremental job takes so long every day. Strangely, I see that after a synthetic backup, the incremental job only takes about 30 minutes. But the next day it will take 8 hours again.I would like to ask if anyone has had a similar experience. Many thanks in advance.Thanks.

There are two tape media with identical barcode in the tape library. When try to export either of the media, it doesn't get exported to IEport. Try the other tape, there is no issue. What would be the procedure to take out the media and re-label one of them and get it work again? 

Is CV-BKRC-VM10 sku is include with immutable backup and prevent backup copies of data from any corruption or ransomware attacks. 

Hello Teamwe have recently upgraded Commvault SP to 11.32.49 and we can observe in every 6-7 days backup went to hung state and waiting also backup job is not moving.we are facing issue after SP upgrade to 11.32.49.Please help its is bug in 11.32.49 or any fix of this issue.

Hi guys, I have a question, i will backup database oracle ,  the  oracle on windows server when i try backup show the error result “Error while backing up Oracle Database. Error Details [Found File [C:\Windows\system32\ORASBT.dll]: Please rename this file so that Oracle can load Galaxy Installed Library [C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\Base\ORASBT.dll] for Backup/Restore.]. Please check the logs.”  what do I need to change in the library?

I have multiple VM’s of Red Hat Linux OS.And in our environment, VM backups are configured at vCenter level.Our server team did OS upgrade from Red Hat Linux 7 to Red Hat Linux 8 (In place upgrade of OS).Even when new VM backup ran for the servers, the OS version is not changed to Linux 8.Do I need to delete VMClientDB file from all VSA proxies to rediscover the latest OS version of the VM’s?Or anything else.Please help me out here.

Hi,I have tried to restore oracle database to disk but I did not find the option restore to Disk.

We have more than 5800 deconfigured “client-less” vCenter based servers listed in Commvault which no longer exist or have data backed up. We would like to remove them and only keep what is actually still on the vCenters. What is the best practice for this sort of cleanup? We need to switch from subclient based backups to Server Plans.

Hi Vaulters,We have a project to deploy a virtual MA into an ESX environment.It will backup other VM’s in the ESX environment.Are there any specifics that I need to be aware of?Will SAN transport be available rather than NBD?I don’t see any specific Virtual requirements in the docco so let me know if there are any, thanks. 

Hey Guys,we got by multiple Customers this Event since yesterday:Commserve failed to download the proactive support request configuration from the Cloud Metrics Reporting Server.Commserve failed to connect to Cloud Reporting Server to download scripts.Access the download URL from the explorer and verify. But the DR Upload works fine and the Cloud Metrics Upload Task looks fine too.Any idea whats wrong here ?

Hello, We are starting to use the Commvault Command Center more and more and moving away from the using the commcell (at some point).Are there any good comprehensive Video Tutorials on using the Command Center? like especially for basic stuff restores (file-level, SQL, VM file-level/Full VM restores) adding new client servers for backup, upgrading clients).I know there is info out there I just want to know if there are any exceptional tutorials that anyone recommand.Thanks for any help in advance! 

I am trying to configure backups for ca-west-1 ( calgery) region which we recently expanded our AWS infra in the Canada region.unfortunately I cant see the instances from region shows up in the Commvault console.I reached my AM to know more above it , but its still yet to reach internal teams and get resonpse but I know the documentation did not mentioned the region in the supported list yet.By any change any of you had similar need and got it fixed with a patch or addtional key setting ? 

when i try to restore a mysql server it fails with " restore failed cannot drop table 'event' referenced by foreign key constraint ", does it mean i need to manually drop all the foreigns keys?

I have created a rsyslog server and configured metallic to send audit trails and alerts using syslog server by following this guide - https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/114237_configuring_syslog_server.html?_gl=1*pf4vx8*_gcl_au*MTAwMzEzNTY2LjE2ODkxNjQyNDI. I am not able to see any audit logs on my rsyslog server. I have configure rsyslog server to listen on both tcp and udp.
