Hi, is it possible to use the VSA for an Environment which is hosted in VMware vCloud Director?I only have Administrator Permissions on the Tenant Level and not on the Root Level of the vCloud Director. Kind Regards

Hello,If a VM is being backed-up ( VSA backup ) from 2 different backup-sets using the same storage pool, is there any impact on the license consumed by this VM ? will there be a double ‘charge’ for it - per Front-End ( capacity license ) ?  Thanks

Hi,We have a power outage for about 2 hours, and after that everything is backed up. However, we don’t receive the Two-Factor Authentication Email anymore. Has anybody this problem before? And where do you check for the problem? Thank you.

I have searched the Community, Partner University, and knowledgebases, and documentation without success. Can anyone help with the followingProvide list of links or explanation that explains how this process works for backup and recovery and the differences between VM, San based Snaps, and COW(Linux Copy On Write). COW (Linux Copy on Write) Snapshots vs hardware snapshots, pros and cons Are there scalability limitations with COW snaps. A break down on what some of the options actually do when configuring the Big Data VMware snaps. The documentation either ignores or glosses over this. When using SAN Snapshots from a VM using Big Data (say mongo Idata agent), will I need to present the LUN as an RDM using NPIV. Is there a detailed method for doing this?

Hello Community, I am facing problems at restores incl. “unconditional overwrite” option into NS Default. Even a Inplace restore back into the Default NS as well as an out-of-Place restore into Default NS. Every other destination is working for restores. Do anyone know restrictions or is aware about this?I have problems restoring including the “Unconditional Overwrite” option to NS Default. Both an in-place restore back to the Default NS and an out-of-place restore to the Default NS. Every other destination is working for restores. Does anyone know or are aware of any limitations?

we have added hyperscale x to existing MA zone group but while trying to detect device using hyperscale x MA not able to discover it ,  is there anyway can we check from linux side to see if we can see the drives and tapes like we can do in windows 

Is there a Commvault report where I can find out when or who deleted a small file on a Commvault FSA backup ? 

Currently we are backing MongoDB up using Mongo IData Agent with Big Data. We are using the LVM option but are wanting to use the SAN Snapshots. Would we need to setup the Mongo Database to used the SAN Based Snapshots. To enable this would we need to install Mongo DB on a  NPIV based LUN. Is there any documentation on how we would configure this.

Hey there everyone!Does anyone have suggestions on how to go about working around an ISP issue where the 5th or 6th hop out to the internet (from the datacenter) is dropping packets and causing the backup to cloud storage to fail?We’ve tried adjusting chunk size and retry intervals, but it still seems to be hard to get the data through before the entire job fails.Any help would be appreciated. The amount of backup data would be around 4TB for a full. Thanks!

we have done all in one server deployment  on windows server 2019 ,and our security team has done some hardening manuallty , but they are not able to check the CIS Baseline/Hardening compliance foir are not able Apache Web Server and DB ,  what all are the security measures taken in 11.28 software especially for  iis tomat appache and sql , we are not using CIS OVA image . is there anyway to check compliance for separate component

Hi all, We have 2 Datacenters with 1 Media agent on each, they have the exact same configuration but on one the VSS services (SW & HW) are running and on the other one they are stopped.Services are in manual startup so my question is when are those services started? what is the default behavior? Stopped and started when needed? I know this topic has already been discussed but those specific questions weren’t answered. Thx in advance for you answers.

Hello, I’m during the backups migration from tapes to disk library. I have encountered the problem with jobs that are somehow disabled. The retention of job is still valid. Auxiliary Copy is skipping this job.This is the error that I’m getting when I’m trying to pick the jobs for copy  

Hi Guys, a wrong message is being displayed in our Commsever (more usage is listed as it is, instead of 6,5 TB it is showing 9 TB of data). I read, that a license renewal file for the Commvault can correct the error. Can you please tell me where and how I can download such a license renewal file?
