Hi All, We have setting as belowversion 11.32.35 first and second disk library with deduplication enable library with 3 drives primary storage policy use first disk library, secondary copy to second disk library, tape copy from secondary copyrefer “Data Multiplexing cannot be enabled on a deduplication enabled copy or on a Disaster Recovery Backup storage policy”, check tape copy policy Media display “Multiplexing Factor 5”.may we know the “Multiplexing Factor 5” will use all tape drives?may we know the “Multiplexing Factor 5” refer which properties setting?could we change? Best regards

We are moving from Storage Policies to Plans and have Plans for databses where we run Transaction Log backups 24/4 each 15 minutes.  For Simple Recovery Mode subclients we only run daily Fullbackups, but when moving to a common Plan it triggers Transaction Log backups for these Simple Mode subclients as well. There are a lot of jobs with 0 bytes of data and it makes a mess. Is there a way to skip these Transaction Log backups for SQL databases in Simple Recovery Model? With a service level approach to setting up common Plans, I don’t want to set up separate Plans only for these Simple mode SQL backups. At this point I have removed all Database schedules from the Plan and configjred them separately, but this adds complexity. A sinple way to exclude Simple mode SQL from the Transcation Log schedule in the Plan would be really nice. /Patrik

There are three drives available, D~1~, D~2~, and D~3~.If there is data multiplexing with a multiplexing factor of three.The first job (J~1~) uses three drives, D~1~, D~2~, and D~3~:D~1~ - J~1~D~2~ - J~1~D~3~ - J~1~Refer above example, may we know more detail as below?- if J~1~ backup only one VM (without client agent) with three stream, will the VM backup in three tape Tape1, Tape2 and Tape3?- if the VM backup in three tape, should it must have three tape drive when restore? What impact if only one drive available when restore?- if J~1~ backup 10 VMs (without client agent) with three stream, is by VM backup in three tape drive? e.g. whole VM1 backup in Tape1, whole VM2 backup in Tape2 and

Hello11.28.111We are migrating one of our VmWare clusters to Hyper-V (licensing grounds -  Broadcom)We have disk filters traditionally on our DB servers, that also do DB Agent backups, to save backing up the data twiceIn the subclient under Vmware, in the VM Disk Filters, you get a ‘Browse’ option, that allows me to select the SCSI ID of a serverIn the subclient under Hyper-V, no browse exists, just ‘Add’Now I can choose a ‘Virtual device node’, but that doesn’t seem to allow me to choose a client, so I assume this is globalThe other option is ‘Virtual Disk name’, which scares me, as this is why I use the SCSI ID, as my VM guys often move servers around, which would make this break!If anyone has experience and ideas on this subject of what we could do, it would be much appreciatedThanksMark 

Hi,am I right in saying that “Scheduling AirGap Intervals on HyperScale X Nodes” pretty much just shuts down access to the HSX between the times you enter ie 9am - 9pm ? https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/scheduling_airgap_intervals_on_hyperscale_x_nodes_01.html Also, if I have a second HSX cluster in my DR Site that just stores AUX copies and I enable scheduled AirGap intervals what happens if an AUX copy is still running as it got delayed ?

Good dayI”m busy configuring the download center for endpoint package installs. I’ve created the repository using the Web Server options and then added the packages as required and synchronised them.When creating a laptop user and having the invite link sent to them, the below page opens up with no packages published.  If the user navigates to the Webconsole and to the Download Centre, the packages are listed. Ideally I’d prefer the above page to be populate, but not sure when I’m missing?

  on Apollo 4200 server, we have set up all HW configurations as per Commvault documentation and then loaded ISO in ILO.Later the installation completed as above attached . But when i click "finish" button server reboots and screen is stuck in commvault hypercale page, please guide with next steps. we can see a cursor below, but no response  when we click enter.

Hello Commvault Community,While restoring SQL DB to “D” and “E” drive we are getting the below error.Description: Encountered error while writing to the file. Error code [28]. Please make sure there is enough disk space on [C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\iDataAgent\JobResults\CV_JobResults\2\0\18631087\RstStage].I would like to know why the CV_JobResults is taking so much of space (67GB) on “C” drive. In the other hand we have another server where CV_JobResults is availble in “D” drive is taking less space (67KB).If this issue created for the content store available on the Drives, could you please assist me if I can change the path and how. If not please suggest the solutions.

how to do multiple stream restore of a single VM with 10 disk  and sized 10 TB.Does CV 11.28 or later version support multiple stream restore for single VM with multiple disk.

HiI have a problem with automatic selecting inc SnapShots for Backup Copy → see post:   (I have opened a case and it seems that I have found another bug) I wish to do this via script:  because there is no way to do this via REST or Powershell I’m now looking for a way to do this with qoperation … is this possible ? Best regards Frank

Hi,We are trying to do a Postgres DumpBasedBackupSet Restore, but it takes longer for restore to finish.Like 300Gb take a 1 ½  day and we end up killing the job!!!Any help/suggestions to improve the speed?On hardware side we have enough resources:Source:Postgres version : 10.17OS: CentOS stream 8 Destine:Postgres version : 14.11OS: CentOS stream 9 During restore I can’t see the throughput or number of stream allocated. Thanks,

Is there a way to check the last replication time of the CommServe LiveSync? Or any other way to ensure that the CommServe LiveSync works fine via REST API (or Qcommand)?

Hi Community,We have Data Domains as our primary storage for Commvault and tape for long term retention. We are looking to replace the tape libraries within the next year with DD Cloud Tier. With DDBoost now fully supported as access and client libraries does anyone know if and when DD Cloud Tier may be integrated and supported.

 I have the SLA dropped down today suddenly. Checking the reason, I find that it is because of client that is being backed up monthly with no change in the configuration.Any idea what could be the reason? I have also checked the sub clients associated; and it is only one Sub client the default one. The schedule is monthly with a Backup option Run Incremental before Synth FYLL backup.  Surprisingly from the backup history only this month I find a separate record for Incremental backup kicked off before the SYNTH FULL which is not the case for the rest of the month. ​

I need to put this out there as this has been pointed out to me in a support case, as I was told I was running an unsupported configuration for 1-touch backupsMy unsupported configuration?  Running RHEL8.9.Yes, running a fully patched version of RHEL is currently unsupported for 1-touch backup.So I’m running 11.32.49, and here is the supported  list of versions (the chart is the same for 11.34) link here Now here is the thing about this - RHEL8.7 was superseded by RHEL8.8 May 2023, which was superseded by RHEL8.9 November 2023.

Hi,I have a new install on Ref Arch version 11.32I am going through the “what to do next” BOL to make sure all is secure. For the Firewall I run # firewall-cmd --state but I do not get a response telling me the state of the firewall.  I run another cmd I found systemctl status firewall and it replies. Any reason why the CV cmd in BOL does not work ?
