We have a system created policy to perform ddb space reclamation and only 1 of the jobs gets stuck and CVODS crashes on the media agent. Hello,We are very new to Commvault Metallic, less than a month old, and the question is, is there a place in the Plans or anywhere else to configure network throttling for remote servers? We also have remote Hyper-V clusters with lots of VMs and would also to throttle those backup jobs too.I know from the documentation, there is an option to throttle the network for Clients and Laptops and we don’t really backup laptops. And I don’t see any options on the Console to do that for servers and VMs.We are throttling our network now on the firewalls, but it’ll be nice if we can do it on Commvault.Thanks in advance for your assistance. Mandi

Hi Team,I have an environment, need to configure AUX copy with 4 MAs and target is the IBM ICOS(AWS compatible). Our plan is, configure the MAs with Gridstor and partitioned DDB for Aux copy. So that, we will get HA for MA and DDBs. But, I have few query in the plan and looking some expert opinion make the solution more optimal.  When I configure the GridStor for primary copy, each job will pick the different MA in round robin mode, so all the MA will be utilized.  But, the aux copy run as single job by accumulating all the available jobs and once the job started it will use same MA. In this case how can we utilize all the 4 MA for aux copy to distribute the load? Do we have any other better way to configure the aux copy with cloud storage with load balancing ??  TIA,Mani

Hoping to get an answer from the very well educated Community on the following question! What is the data path for Linux VM file / folder restorations done using FREL? What talks to what and over what port? Obviously, we have Media Agent and the VSA Access node involved writing directly into the ESXi datastore but where does the FREL fit into the connectivity picture?I have multiple ESXi hosts and a complex firewall configuration. I’m assuming a single FREL can service multiple ESXI hosts without issue but what ports do I need to open between which devices and which way? I’m guessing ports 8400 and 8403 but between which devices? TIA!

Hi all, I have a question regarding the association of Oracle (sub)clients to Plans. Let’s say I have the following schedules defined in my Plan: Incremental backup for all agent types: Daily at 22:00 Transaction Log backup for databases: Every 2 hours Full backup for databases: Every Friday at 20:00 An Oracle Client by default has: A “default” subclient (with Selective Online Full enabled) An ArchiveLog subclient If I assign the Instance or subclients to my Plan, which schedule(s) will then be applied to these subclients? In my opinion, the default subclient should follow schedule nr “3” because it’s a Full backup. And the ArchiveLog subclient should follow schedule “2” because it backs-up the logs. But is that indeed the case? I have my doubts about this. Thanks in advance!

Hi. CV version is 11.32.45, we want enable compliance lock (CL) on local disk storage. For what I can read, there no DDB sealing involve with that option vs WORM at hardware level.With no DDB sealing, we should not have have space increase by enabling CL?Am I right?

Hi team, We are on the way to make SLA Report more consistent by remove not scheduled host.Looking for any suggestion how smart group should looks like ?Create one manual group for all schedule policies and second smart  client association to the schedule policies - not equal - [previous create SP] Or... Client by schedule interval - equal to - daily  For all above situation  advance settings KPI → Exclude from SLA

Hello , Sometimes the Comandcenter Website is suddenly unreachable . When i connect to the comweb Server i can see that the tomcat Service is not startet . In the Event log i find an Entry with the Tomcat service stopped unexpectly. We use the Version 11.28.93..Any Ideas ?  Thanks Michael
