we are failing to create 3 node Hyperscale 1.5.1 cluster (reference architecture ) the library was created but it’s offline with this error- Library status offline due to incomplete storage pool configuration. Please wait for other media agents to join this storage pool library configuration.the media agent for all 3 servers is ready.the version is 11.32.43 (commserve + the three Hyperscale nodes)  is it possible to fix the issue ? or we need to format and install again ? 

hello,I configured the SQL Server database livesync schedule, I would like to do a DR test, on the DR website the databases are in recovery status.1 - How to run a test on just one database?2 - After executing and leaving only one database running on the DR site, how do I return the database to the production site with the updated data?

Can we install second media agent on existing commserve infra? actually, already schedule the backup and after second media agent installed, the respective schedule backup job changes the Media agent as second one. then will happen any issue or will backup start form be beginning what? 

HelloI installed commvault using CommvaultExpress_Media_11_34, I have selected:Create a new CommCell Create New DatabaseI saw message: Installation and configuration completed successfully with Command Center URL and Metrics Reporting URL.I opened /commandcenterurl. However, no wizzard to configure initial credential appeared. Tried to used windows server credential but didn’t let me log in.How can I login?  Thanks

After updating from 11.28, to 11.32.  Have a single system that is not able communicate properly with the commserve for backup purposes.Check Rediness returns OK.cvping from/to the client and commserv is happy.All services on the client are running.client and commserve are in same subnet, so no firewall appliances between them.Client services stopped/started, and finally rebooted the client. no change.Some of the errors in the logs:“There is no incoming network connection from ‘commserve’”“No Incoming tunnel from ‘commserve’”“Couldn’t translate client name ’client’ to a client ID.last step i guess is to re-install the client?

Dear Team, We are planning to relocate our DR backup environment to another location.Currently, our DR machine is a virtual machine with CommServ live sync enabled and running every 15 minutes. We have a 6-node cluster Hyper Scale 1.5 dedicated to backup purposes in our DR workload. Additionally, auxiliary copies are running daily from the data center to the DR site.Could you please assist us with the prerequisites and potential impact of this activity Regards,ManiD

Dear community,After initial Commvault installation, noticed that Im getting Anomaly notifications about “No Schedule” for “File System” about MediaAgents.Considering that all MediaAgents have internal backup jobs for DDB, INDEX (?) etc, is there any suggestion for further protection?What is the best practice to protect Media Agents?Best regards,Nikos

We have a user that is able to bypass the need for entering in their password + MFA token when logging into the Java console. This user is part of a group where MFA is enabled and SSO is disabled for our environment. I'm not sure what the reason for this would be? When the user initially logs in through the Java console, then opens up the web console, their login for some reason persists. So if they close out the Java console after closing out of the web console, they are then able to login to the Java console without the need for entering in their password or token. It seems as though for some reason the login session persists through the web console. I’m pretty sure this is an additional setting that needs to be modified somewhere, but I’m not exactly sure where this might be?

We have few VM’s with Thick Lun Provisioning but the actual size of the VM is very small.Let’s say Provisioned capacity is 7TB.But the read size of the VM is 1TB.Does commvault consider 7TB or 1TB of License?

We’re setting up a new Alma 9 file server that we plan to have 4x 60TB volumes, and then use the Linux LVM to stripe them (sort of like this).We are into the half-billion inode count now, so we know that the File Agent without using block level backups would be untenable as the incremental scan time phase alone on the previous file server would reach 13-15 hours before even beginning the backup phase.However, I am having difficulty finding documentation on commvault’s pages confirming or denying whether volumes striped in this way is supported for block-level backups (we know that the File Agent without doing block level backups works fine as we are already using striped volumes on our previous file server).Can anyone confirm or deny or provide a link to the documentation where it states one way or another?

IHAC looking to deploy HSX RA and create bonded vlan’s has the following question. Can the data protection bonded interfaces be configured for a vlan that will work with dot1q/VLAN sub-interfaces? So, I’ve got a ticket in for this, but have only recieved remedial solutions.  Basically, when we back up the dedupe database, its snapshot appears to be happening ok, but it’s missing files, as in they’re simply not there (see below).   It’ll take days of downtime (hundreds of servers not backed up) if we simply need to rebuild this.  Could this be a corrupt DDB?  Anyone else seen this issue?  ERROR CODE [6:43]: Backup failed: unable to open or read a file. Configured to fail on any error. Please check the following: 1. The account that the File System agent uses has sufficient privileges to back up files. 2. The data being backed up can be accessed and is not on a path that is unmounted or is inaccessible. 3. A third-party product is not locking the files. 4. There is no corruption of the data on the disk. 5. Planning to do a hardware refresh of Commvault environment running livesync.  I would appreciate some advice on how this can be done.Reasons for doing the refresh is as follows:1. Upgrade to Commvault v11.32 2.  Commvault currently running v11.20 with SQL 2012 as the backend3. OS of Commserve and DR Commserve need to be upgraded from Windows 2016 to Windows Server 2022Anyone who has done similar initiatives ?  What are the caveats and steps on how to implement this?
