Hello community!I recently switched for OneDrive backup, from v1 to v2 and a have a question:In Users tab, I can add an extra column called “OneDrive enabled”.Then I see that my users are mixed in this filter. Some of these are Yes and some other with No, but all of users are backed up (with also actual size).So, could you please help me, what is “OneDrive enabled” for?Thank you in advance,Nikos

Hello all, is anyone using the Powershell SDK v2?  I see it hasn’t been touched since initial commit, is this still a thing?  I really like the v1 and wanted to see what else is now available in v2.  https://github.com/Commvault/CVPowershellSDKV2 The documentation is scarce at best and CV docs still references SDK v1 which is not the same as v2.  From the github page it just says to use Invoke-SetupLogin, which I am able to connect and get a token.  But then how do I use the cmdlets at that point?  When I run a command afterwards I just get “Unauthorized”  In v1 once you run connect-CVServer, you can run any commands against the currently logged in Commcell. I really think this PS module is a great thing and hope it is still being developed.  The API is nice but the PS code is much easier to use and less code involved. Thanks f

Hi Team,I cannot understand what the scheduler task option is for:Run Incremental Backup - Before Synthetic Fullsince it later gives Failure Reason:Synthetic Full cannot run because no Incremental or Differential backup was run after last Full backup for the subclient.Can someone explain this? Regards,Piotr Grzegorek.

commvault.Instance001.service has suddenly stopped on all the linux clients.Next backup will run on Saturday.I believe this is a commvault communication service on all clients which needs to be run in order to backup clients.Could you please let me know how to restart this as I cannot have backup failures this saturday. It is crucial to the business.

Hello,I’ve some older data at one mount path and want to move it to different host where new storage has been already configured and it’s up and running. Is there a way to somehow merge the data from old MP into new one? So I want to move data from Host1 - “D:\MP1” to Host2 - “D:\New MP” to keep everything in single place. Simple move is enough?   

Hello,we have to recall stubs of about 2000 mailboxes. I want to use massrecall tool to recall the stubs. My question is, is there an option to define the complete mailbox of the user and to define exclusions of specific folders (calendar, deleted items, etc.). At the monent I don’t know which folders were created by users beside inbox. Or is it necessary to report all mailboxes and folders to create a input file which contains the folders that shoul be included for mass recall?Thanks and regards,Thomas

Hi,  Do you have a best practice how to utilize media agents in a GRID format?For example we have 4 MA’s and let’s say 3 subclients..1 sub client always uses 1 MA (more vsa proxies within the job for vm’s) for VMware backups. So there is a some sorting mechanism for other 2 sub clients to either receive idling MA’s to start the backup, or use the one which is already used by sub client 1… But is there an option to utilize the potential of a GRID solution where we can use more than 1 MA for a backup of a sub client? Hope it’s clear of what I am trying to achieve.

There is a data loss in customer environment. Customer wants me to check if there was anything which was backed up and could possible be restored. There are 2 incremental backups from which data needs to be restored. But while browsing the incremental data is stuck at “loading data….” and not actually loading data. Previous incremental backups are being browsed successfully.  

Hi, we just started to use an object storage to tier out the data after 7 days. We created one bucket and added it to commvault as backup target. Den we changed the config and created another bucket but forget to delete the first one and now commvault is using both buckets to store the data. How can I migrate the already stored data in bucket 2 (data path 1) into bucket 1 (data path 2) ?After I could migrate the data I would like to delete the second data path and then remove the bucket in the Object Storage.RegardsThomas

Hi, We are looking for a way to fetch from the Commserv - Jobs Copied By AuxCopy Job.Currently we use this API call - qoperation execscript -sn QS_JobsCopiedByAuxCopyJob,but the response we are getting includes details that are not aligned with what we see on the Console GUI. Jobs that are marked as ‘Copied’ on GUI doesn't show on the API response. Is there any other way to fetch that data and the get the latest status ?  Thanks

I have installed the configured the Commvault Splunk plugin available at: https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/5718/  and I am trying to get respective data from Commvalut version-11.24.48.I have checked the permissions for the user(not a service account) of Commcell it is same as per your shared screenshot still no luck.  Please help me understand the possible reasons it is not accepting the credentials.

Hi Problem description:VMWare subclient  (with NetApp datastores via NFS) is running using:SnapShot (primary Snap) -> SnapVault -> Backup2Disk.First a full and since then always inc + 1 x a week synthetic full was backed up. The primary target (default disklibrary) must be changed and this is not possible in the storage policy :( I can set up a new primary target but the default library (for metadata SnapShot etc) is always the original library. So I have to set up a new storage policy with a new default library. How does it behave now with:a.) the Synthetic fulls? Do I have to start again with a real full or does CV just take the data assigned to the client from whatever library for the next synthetic full and if I delete the old storage policy I have still functionable backups?b.) if I move the SubClient to the new Storage Policy it keeps the CBT/SnapShot/SnapVault information? Unfortunately I can't test it easily a

Hi guys,We are planning to set up LiveSync and our Web Server is installed on the primary CommServe Instance001. I assume that if we don’t separate the Web Server, we will only be able to operate from the CommCell if a failover occurs (since LiveSync works at the SQL Server agent level). I did not see in the documentation that having a seperate Web Server was a requirement for LiveSync and I was wondering if it was absolutely necessary or if it would be a better practice to set it up as a separate server.Thanks for your help!

Hello, I have issue with live browsing of Exchange recovery point. I am getting next error : Cannot connect with Exchange Mining process, please check service running status on live browse server. I made commvault case 220731-163. But i want to ask here aswell if someone had same issue.Somewhere in juni restore worked correctly on the same MA Once thing i change after is commvault hotfix to 11.25.44 The MA and Exchange have same patch.  I tryed restore offline DB to MA, but after restore getting same error at browsing. I uploaded some logs aswell.

I have an old InfiniGuard VTL that is replicated to a new InfiniGuard VTL and I need to decom the old one.  Is there a way, with CommVault down, to uninstall the medium changer and drives and install the new medium changer and have CommVault recognize the new VTL as the old one?  The replicated VTL has all of the same barcodes.

Hello Guys, since the upgrade from 11.25 to 11.28 i have an issue with our Exchange Index Server. On the Index Server the services are running fine and the content path is also the right one but i always get the issue “Content Server Down” when i try to search for a mailbox.  The Index Server Backup itself fails with the error “Configured Content does not exist” even the path hasnt changed.  Thanks in advance BR Marcel
