I also see same issue in my environment frequently where backups on multiple servers hang randomly. And then we see commands like ‘tasklist” timing out on the client which confirms WMI is not responding. We have to reboot every week or so to fix.Does anyone know why WMI hangs? Unfortunately we don’t have Microsoft support so have not been able to take up this issue with them.
Hi,We just updated our environment to 11.23.3 and now the reports scheduled in the adminconsole fail.If we look in the folder we see all reports ending <report_name>.pdf.hdr or <report_name>.html.hdr and they are all 0kb If we run reports from the Console GUi reports are generated fine.We are still investigating, we think connection issue on port 80, but does some knows where the extention .hdr comes from?krDanny

What’s the best practices for determining the number of proxies needed for both ESX and AHV? Is it as simple as adding one proxy per ESX host or VCenter cluster? Or is it more about adding proxies based on the protected FET? I’m trying to develop a scale-out strategy so that we can easily predict what our proxy count will need to be as the environment grows, but I’m having difficulty finding a general rule for this.
I have existing SnapMirror relationships which I created from the NetApp CLI. I am trying to create an auxiliary copy which will not create new relationships, and will not force a re-baselining of my data. I want to import the existing relationships. Some years ago I used the OC6ImportExisting Relationships key on the Media Agents to accomplish this. It has been a while and my most recent attempt has not been successful.
Hi, for some backup clients subclient activity is turned off for various reasons. After updating from 11.18 to FR 22 those jobs will be shown in the Job History as Failed Job. But it was no failure, is was a decision made by the administrator. Is there a way to suppress the display of those jobs? I did not find anything in the manual.Regards Martin
I have a client that for some reason I have to ask for it to be rebooted every week or so, we have already uninstalled and reinstalled the Commvault file agent software twice.I can browse to the contents of the client, the cvping comes back clean from the media agent to the client. My question is: has anyone else seen this problem.. the server is a Windows 2012 R2 Standard
In the above screenshot, it shows that some backup are Invalid and the the copy status is unavailable and it sets the retention date for 3 months later. I believe there may be a setting somewhere to change that retention date but I do not know where. Also, is there a way that if the copy save on the media agent that returns to be invalid/not available to be retried and remove the failed one? If I look for the dedicated job on the storage policy, its all green so I can’t change it there. Thanks all.
Hello,I would like to run a script for each time that a backup fails to create a support ticket. The alert has been configured and the Powershell script has been tested and validated and works using the following command on the Powershell window:powershell.exe create_ticket.ps1 -s “Title” -d “Description”I would like Commvault to launch the script with its own tokens such as <CLIENT NAME>.Using the documentation ressource “Setting Up Command Line Alert Notifications” (source link: https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=5401.htm ), I configured the Run Command fields as following:Command executable location: C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe Arguments: /C powershell.exe C:\tmp\create_ticket.ps1 -s "Backup job failed for <CLIENT NAME>" -d "`nAlert Title: <ALERT NAME>`r`nTrigger Time: <TIME>”Unfortunately this doesn’t work.Do you have any advises? Thank you for your answers. Best regards,John
