Is there a calculator (or formula) to estimate the required backup storage capacity for Office 365 Backups (Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online & Teams)?For “normal” backups (File, VMs, Databases) there is such a calculator (Link), but I haven’t found anything regarding Office 365.How do others run such capacity calculations for Office 365? RegardsChris

Hey all We are creating a secondary copy and writing to a combined tier library.  When we create this, do we need 1 bucket or 2?  I only created 1 bucket and specified the combined tiers.  Does an additional bucket get created - or a different folder within the bucket created and that gets changed to Glacier?We are planning on using S3-IA/Glacier for the 2nd copy.I guess I just want more specifics on what exactly happens in this process. ThanksMelissa

hi, Someone knows in which logfile the start of atuomatic schedules is being logged? I mean: we have machines with automatic schedules active (every X minutes, but also based on size),  but the automatic schedule isn’t working anymore [was working before]. I wonder in what logfile that should be logged?

Hi, In Command Center I have created an Office 365 app for SharePoint backup. I left basically everything default and configured 10 Azure Apps and 10 Service Accounts for backup.The backup, although very slowly, runs. Schedule is default (daily 9PM), I created 1 Office Plan and 1 Server Plan However, I notice the backup uses only 1 stream. What can I do to make the SharePoint backup automatically use more streams, or how can I divide the SharePoint sites (5000+) in something that would be similar to the SubClients in the CommCell Console? Again, I have not used the CommCell Console, only Command Center,Thanks!

Hi Community - We have a circa 2PB Cloudlin currently writing to AWS S3.  Our customer is asking if we can migrate this data into Azure. Has anyone out had experience of the best way to accomplish this - I am thinking doing this using AUX copies is going to take rather a long time to copy 2 PB!!

Also check network connectivity and if this product's services are running.” All services are running well on the Media Agent, so I really don’t know what else to do about it.

I need the ability to permanently delete emails from an Exchange backup.  Beyond removing indexes and making it unavailable for recovery, I need for the data to be completely wiped whether by overwriting the emails in question with zeroes or rewriting the backup image so the data in question is no longer present in the backup file.According to the docs - https://documentation.commvault.com/11.23/essential/110998_deleting_mailbox_items_folders_or_messages.html and https://documentation.commvault.com/11.23/essential/104288_deleting_mail_messages_in_exchange_mailbox.htmlIf a message is deleted from mailbox it cannot be recovered.  But it doesn’t explicitly say how that is done and I suspect the data will still be present in the backup file itself.Is it possible to do what I am looking for?Thanks

I have 5 years of retained data. Is there a report that can breakdown retained data by year?  I’ve tried a job summary and the Data Retention Forecast report but it does not give me the details I’m looking for.

When backing up VM (on VMWare) with SQL, event log is filled with error:The device, \Device\Harddisk4\ ……. is not ready for access yet. At this moment only IntelliSnap is enabled and under Backup Options, File system and application consistent backup selected. Any suggestions? 

Need to know do the Commvault support RedHat OpenStack backup

I have 2 mailboxes that are consistently failing.  I have run the backup individually on them and they have both failed and the logs are showing the following error.  Failed to process mailbox. Error message [The server cannot service this request right now. Try again later.]]  Any ideas? Thanks

Right now the synthetic full backup on CIFS Share backup with IntelliSnap is not supported. Any way that this can be enabled? 

I just had to have my NVME card replaced and now I need to build a new vg and lvm’s for ddb & indexcache. Is anyone aware of a file under /opt/commvault that may show me how those were created by the install scripts?

Is there a way to create a roport using powershell that includes the backup size. I've tried pulling information but all I see is application size, size on disk etc.  I need to do this for physical and virtual machines. 

Hello,We did notice that when we login to web console and when we click Command Centre we got all blank page. We did try to restart Commvault cell even all server, but still was unable to see it. I did opened the case and hope the support will find what is a problem.Regards,

We are currently preforming a DR backups to On-Prem (multiple locations) and CV cloud. As viewed in cloud.commvault.com it appears that we are limited to only 5 iterations of the CV DBs. In “DR backup” options we have 20 set, but that seems to only be On-PremQuestion> Is there a way to expand the amount of CV cloud backups retained?
