Hi!For different reasons I need to move On-prem Exchange mailboxes from one DB to other.I use intelliSnap backup so when I need to restore, first I must knew in which DB the mailbox is.My question is: if I need to restore, for example , an  email that was deleted before migration, in which DB I must look for it? The original when the item was deleted or the actual?Thanks

Hello,  I have a question about how to backup and restore physical media agentsfor example, I have actually 4 Unix physical media agents with no deduplication (handled by storeonce)On the subclient I left the default to backup all content (maybe I need to exclude some folders ?)  for restore I have found this documentationRecovery - 1-Touch for Linuxhttps://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=116195.htm Is it the good way to recover a physical MA that crashed ? another question, before when I click on help button in the dialog boxes I was redirected to the good page with all explanations, now all links are broken. Thanks !      

 We have a client that the software was uninstalled, the Commvault folder remains.I am performing a reinstall of Commvault software but before that. I changed my client name to 0001_old and clicked ok and pushed the network configuration The client name reverted back to the original client name  0001Question: is it normal for the client name to revert back to the original name when doing a push network configuration.   

Hello Team,I am trying to Set Up Alert Notifications to Save to a Local Drive in text document.Link to the documentation:https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=5405.htmI have set everything as it is described in the documentation but seems to not working at all.After the setup we have some failed backups, but nothing in the directory where i set to go the files.The configuration is at follows: All Clients, All Agents, Notification criteria is only Failed and skipped jobs. I have set the local directory where to be saven the file, interpersonate the user, token  Alert: <JOB ID> Status <STATUS>. Everything seems to be set as expected but still not received any file in the directory.If someone have some similar configuration could you please share with me ? Thank you in advance! 

Hi, I’m actually setting up this feature at customer sites, It’s working fine for now, but I have a question regarding enabling this feature on a subclient with hundreds of VMs ?Is there a way to limit the number of concurrent VMs, to do X amount VMs concurrently until there are done ? To limit resource usage on the ESX Hosts. I tried the option Use source VM ESX to mount or to use a Recovery target option to limit the number of VMs to X but ?

Hi Guys, I need your help. I have deployed a new FREL (VMware FR20) in the Customer’s environment. During Live Browse operation I am getting the following error.  Browse failed due to error while mounting virtual machine: FBR mount failed: Caught Exeption [][664][CvBlkDisk::waitForDeviceReady]:[Device FBR_2030087400-5005c102-1b7-2dcd=5495-25226756bafb-1 is not ready to mount] (CV .0x5). It doesn’t matter which virtual machine I choose.Any ideas?

Hi all, I’m trying to follow this process Maintenance Advantage Customer Support Portal - Articles - Article Details (commvault.com) to install the v9 SP10a software on a Win2K SP4 server. in a V11 CommCell. Additional setting bIgnoreCommServeVersion has been added to the registry of this client and the v9 SP10a DVD mounted on the server.After running Setup, I get as far as setting the CS and client name and specify comms is through a proxy. Error message is presented as below.  I was able to dig out some logging after manually creating C:\Program Files\Commvault\Simpana. Hi, I have a customer with 2 copies :1-Primary dedup on disk with 66 jobs.2-Secondary dedup on disk with 133 jobs He created a copy 3 to replace the secondary but he chose #1 for the source, but there are jobs only in the secondary copy, is there a way to pick the missing jobs by changing the source of copies #3 for source = #2 ? If I change it and run and Aux Copy the missing jobs are not picked ? Or I have to delete the copy #3 and start over !?

Hi,Until recently, ~1 TB of data was stored on all our LTO4 tapes.I recently changed 2 things:I created a Global Secondary Copy Policy I enabled software encryption for the (secondary) backups to tape (Re-encrypt, BlowFish, Key length 128, No Access)Now, only ~750 GB of data is stored on all tapes before they are marked full. A decrease of 25%.Is one of these two changes a known, proven and expectedcause for this decreased usage of the tapes?Thanks!

We have multiple Hyperscale \ ScaleProtect implementations some with six bricks in the cluster. It is very tedious to right click, check the box, say ok every time you need to do an OS upgrade (soon to be monthly) or some other maintenance that requires the cluster to be in maintenance mode. Does anyone have a script or a workflow they can share?
