I want to upgrade from 11.28.56 to 11.32.[latest] and want to know if I can "just do it via the Java console" (just download the software update into the cache via the Java console then push/upgrade commserve/livesync commserve via the java console) It appears you can at first glance.. but after going through the docs there appears to be some indications I cannot/should not.Just wondering if anyone has done this or knows if I cannot do it via java console only. The docs are a little all over the place (the links below) and make me think I have to uninstall my commserve and MSSQL then reinstall both (from the media kit) and restore from a DR backup, then do the same to my livesync server…. all because my MSSQL DB versions are a bit out of date and out of sync.Background:I have all physical CommVault servers, so no VM snapshots possible I don't mind taking a commvault outage to do updates. I changed the password for the AD domain account 'backup.user.' After checking the Commvault Communication Service logs, I found login failure entries, though I confirmed that the service is configured to run under the local system account (not a domain account). The CVD.log shows the error:*'failed to log in using [domain\backup.user] -1326.'*Could you advise how to check the login configuration for cvd.exe and update it with the correct credentials? Hi,When I install Commvault on hyperscale, part of my screen is cut off. Do you know of a solution?The effect is the same whether I use H5Viewer or JViewer. Zooming in or out doesn't help either. Just to add, everything was OK in the command line of Rocky Linux itself before running the installation.

I have commvault 11.28 system with windows server 2019 and SQL server 2016I want to upgrade it to 11.36what are the requirements before upgrading and what are the all steps.

I have used the apis to retire and delete the VMs but since the VMs are added everytime manually in the subclient, I would like to use the API to remove it from the content as well. I used the below mentioned API and it deletes the complete content. When will the be support for Hypervisor backup from HPE Morpheus ? (VM Essentials/Enterprise)

I seem to have multiple servers that only show the C drive when doing a guest file restore. If I mount a whole disk I can see all the others. I have other servers in the same backup Plan that work fine, have very similar servers that work fine, I can’t tell why it isn’t showing. Anyone had this? I’ve logged a ticket but not much of a response so far

On a linux RH 9.4 we are trying to configure a sybase DB. We keep getting this error and cannot find where is the error. Connectivity workd ok, FS backups of the server are working. Version of commvault is 11.36.41. Hi Guys,I need to upgrade from 11.32 to 11.36 in a live sync, what is the best way doing in full downtime without initiating maintenance failover as described in documents, so if I download and Sync cache can i upgrade active / standby commserve one by one, means first active then standby. Also, MS SQL will be updated along with from 2019 to 2022?After this I can upgrade commvault software on hyperscale-x, is there any need to upgrade hedvig or OS patches as we are currently on 2.2410 and 3.2410 (mix of RHEL and rocky)Please I am waiting for your valuable advice.Regards,AQ

Hi All, looking to get some feedback on the following scenario.Currently have 4 media agents with 2.5TB local SSD dedicated for DDB. A while back we decided to move to the cloud and thus created a new storage pool (deduplication enable) so we would only move changed blocks from primary to the cloud. The new DDB location for the cloud pool is on the same disk as the existing DDB for on-prem data. At the time, the capacity was ok and so we moved forward.Trying to make things easier to understand, I am adding the following screenshot;  As seen above all 4 MAs share DDBs for box Primary and Cloud and I am running out of space. We are purchasing additional drives with a higher capacity to address the problem and here is where my questions come in and would appreciate some feedback. I would prefer to avoid running new Fulls as a result of this tasks.I wanted to see if the options below are the only ones available and which one carries less down time and risk;Adding new partition: this option

Hi All, i´m looking for the requirments how much free disc space is needed on mediaagent for block level restore from exchange databse. I found this: Changing the Amount of Free Space in the Cache for Block-Level Restores for Exchange Databases but dont understand. Does it mean i need the free disc space for the summery of all incr backups ?

We have multiple Hyper-V VM having SAN LUN mounted, the Microsoft itself not provide the feature to take snapshot of VM if SAN LUN mounted on it.Please share the way to take backup and restore of that VM on commvault.

Hi, there is a chance to change the auxcopy automatic schedule from 30 min to 15 min in commandcenter or with a script? I’m in version 11.36 and with new installations commcel console GUI isn’t available. Additionalsetting Showschedulepolicy is not a valid way.Thanks
