Hello, I have Commserve LiveSync setup that is running version 11.32.83 on SQL 2016 SP3 on WS 2019.I want to upgrade this setup to 11.36 version which requires SQL 2022.Do I need to do some multi-step upgrade process? For example an SQL upgrade first and then commserve. Or I need to proceed as usually and SQL will be upgraded automatically? Have anyone real-life experience?Thank you in advance!

Hi Team, I observed that HistoryDB size got increased which is around 25+ GB. What might be the cause and will it impact the performance and what troubleshooting steps we can take to address the issue.

our license was expired yesterday 11 apr 2025 and we are not able to find the reset option. we followed below link to reset our license for backups to run for next 96 hours until the license is renewed.please any one faced similar issue and how you got reset option. which can resume backups for 96 hours.also is there any way to get temporary licenses soon.https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/extending_expired_license_in_commcell_console.html

Hello, during the VSA Backup, the following error appears by some virtual machines: “Timeout waiting for HotAdd Mutex, VDDK Deadlock encountered”The backup job completes with one or more errors. The VM’s with the above error are not backed up, while the VM’s w/o the above error are backed up successfully.HotAdd Mode is in use. What can be done done to fix this?Best regards, Aleksandra

Hello All,I have Red hAt Openshift KUbernetes backup. I am backing up application via label selector as the following. We noticed that There is not some application in the backup. For example ; middleware-architecture-dev. I have tried to backup this project middleware-architecture-dev with seperate subcleint. Backup completed succesfully. BU twe saw that some object are missing. This applications are Openshift Servicemesh (istio) CRD. Does COmmvault support istio objects?

Blank page is displayed only.Sandbox URL is https://commserveFQDN/webconsole/sandbox/Dev tools in the browser (F12) writes: “Error with Permissions-Policy header: Parse of permissions policy failed because of errors reported by structured header parser.”Trying to open with Microsoft Edge.Repairing the instance has not solved the issue.The https://commserveFQDN/webconsole/sandbox/apiexlorer URL is working.Any ideas?Thank you,Lubos UPDATE: The REST Webservice API Sandbox page finally showed up after more than half an hour :-O

We have an effort to migrate DDB partition to another local volume on the MA for 200+ servers. Doing this via GUI 200 times will not be fun. I’ve looked but haven’t found a command that I can leverage to automate this task. Can’t imagine there being no cli command or qscript for this.

I want to upgrade from 11.28.56 to 11.32.[latest] and want to know if I can "just do it via the Java console" (just download the software update into the cache via the Java console then push/upgrade commserve/livesync commserve via the java console) It appears you can at first glance.. but after going through the docs there appears to be some indications I cannot/should not.Just wondering if anyone has done this or knows if I cannot do it via java console only. The docs are a little all over the place (the links below) and make me think I have to uninstall my commserve and MSSQL then reinstall both (from the media kit) and restore from a DR backup, then do the same to my livesync server…. all because my MSSQL DB versions are a bit out of date and out of sync.Background:I have all physical CommVault servers, so no VM snapshots possible I don't mind taking a commvault outage to do updates.
