Hello, Anyone using Epic EHR Systems for backup cache DB??? Currently I am using FS agent with Intellisnap but I am curious what are the pros/cons of Epic EHR Systems

Hi Commvault Community,I’m having an issue restoring backups from a previously licensed machine. Here’s what happened: I removed the license from my client. Then I formatted the machine. I reinstalled the OS but assigned a different hostname. I installed the Commvault agent again. In the CommCell Console, the system now shows up as a new client, even though it's the same physical machine. My goal is to restore data that was backed up before the format. However, I’m unable to access the previous backups from the new client.As a workaround: I created a virtual machine that replicates the original configuration of the machine before the license was removed — same hostname, OS version, install path, etc. Still, I’m unable to access or restore the previous backup data, eve

Hello Community!I would like to ask you guys if maybe someone have similar issue with Exchange DAG restores as we have in one of the environment.The case is not a fresh one, i had a ticket for around a year in commvault - but they did not find the solution. At the end they recommended (we suggested it and they agreed) to enable “Perform Consistency Check” on the exchange backup schedules. We did it few weeks ago, and now we tried to test restores, but we still see the same issues at the end of the restore process.The issue is not easy to troubleshoot, because databases are big (around 1TB each) and restore process is failing at the very end. Dear ExpertsWe are trying to Restore Db2 Database to different Server ( Restore to Disk ), Media Read Performance is very low and Opened case with Commvault 250310-318. Dear team,We have one Disk library Configured as shared between 2 MA servers. disk Lib total Capacity reached to 1.3 PB and no issues in Backup Operations, we are getting good throughput. But Facing some slowness issues in DDB Verification is there any Limitations to add more space to same library ? any best practices here ??    

Hi all, I am trying to automate our Commvault platform, and have been using the cvpysdk package a bit - however, I am missing some information.First of all, are there any release notes available for the different versions/releases of the package? I can not find anything really in pypi or in github.Secondly, I can also see that the releases are versioned as 11.32, 11.34, 11.36, 11.38, is this directly correlating to what version of Commvault software you are using or what release should one use? Is it possible to use 11.38 on a 11.32 platform or should I be expecting operational difficulties?Lastly, what python versions are supported?Thank you in advance,Daniel

I Open command center and go to reports, then Backup Summary. I modify the default to only show the critical servers I want to check each morning. I save it as a view then go to schedule and create  job schedule to run daily. That works great, but if I decide to modify anything in the existing view, it seems like I have to delete everything and start over. Is there a way to modify a view? In the commcell job scheduler the edit is grayed out on the scheduled job I have created. It just is frustrating to have to start from scratch every time I want to add a server change anything

Hi,outlook add-in installed, the archived message still shows (Quick Look) and i can’t find options for add-in like (Preview , Download).i tried to remove and re-install but it seems the same issue, while there is another PC with the same setup and works fine.. Can someone please help?

Hi Folks Im having an issue, with sharepoint backups, I keep getting the error Failed to impersonate with user: CommvaultSP when it tries to access the shared job directory.I’ve checked all the permissions as they should be and that account has full control over that directory Commvault version 11.36.46Any pointers in the correct direction would be welcomed!

Hello, one of my customers is running CV 11.32.89 and .Net 8.0.406. Their Security Team discovered vulnerability in the current .Net version and advised to update to .NET_9.0_SDK_(v9.0.200)_x64. However, in the Commvault KB I see, that manual DotNet updates to another major version (e.g. 8->9) are generally not allowed:Manual Upgrade of .NET Core RuntimeCould you please advise how the customer can proceed to handle the vulnerability?Best regards, Aleksandra 

We are preparing to implement a new Commvault environment and the tenants will be responsible for installing the client to their systems. As such, we would like an alert when a new client has been registered so we can associate it to the appropriate groups/plans/storage policy etc. So far as I can tell, such a thing does not exist. I would love input on how to best go about this. Thank you.

Does CV support both capacity-based and agent-based licensing models for Salesforce protection? Is it necessary to use Commvault Cloud/Metallic SaaS, or can an in-house Commvault deployment on a physical server or VM also be used for Salesforce protection?

Hi ALL,Our client want that when we run a restore of a server from Site A to Site B the restore network speed should be 200 MB/hour. Is this possible in Commvault.I know that we can use Throttle Network Bandwidth at client level but not sure if enabling this will throttle restore job or not??Please help if there is any way that we can throttle network bandwidth for Restore Job??

hi,I need help creating a backup schedule in version 11.36 using the command center. In the previous version I had already created it without any problems because I used the commcell console.I have a subclient for which I need to create a backup schedule:Subclient1Backup daily incremental running x hourBackup full backup running all saturdayand the storage is in different media poolI can't associate two jobs to the same subclient, could someone help me?

When taking a Commvault VM Image backup it updates the VM on the vCenter with job no and last backup date which is very helpful for ensuring however is anyone aware of being able to update a VM on the vCenter with details of Agent based backups (SQL, Windows etc) appreciate any help or advice.

Hello team,The task: Test a subclient backup, but not immediately but at a time specified by the customer.The basis is a PLAN to which hundreds of clients are assigned, so it should not be changed completely. In addition to the plan schedules, I have also found the option of starting a backup immediately.The possibility to schedule this backup as a one-time backup is missing Commcell console is unfortunately no longer an option for new customers. https://kb.commvault.com/article/82051Can you help or do I have to set an alarm clock in the future to test a backup?
