 It appears with 11.36 keytool is cranking out 3072 bit requests. Even if I specifiy-keysize 2048 the CSR is exactly the same as the default with no keysize specified and can’t be accepted by the CA (2048 or 4096 allowed). I did open a support case but since this question came up for the windows cvcerttool as well seems like many of us would like the ability to specify keysize.Does anyone know if this is by design or if there is any enhancement request in the pipeline yet?thanks

Hello All,We are using “Validate Restore “ worfkflow for VMware restore tests. We have a team who does those restore tests.They have some authority for execute this workflow. they could do succesfully tests. But they unable to run this workflow due to this error. Dear Commvault Experts, My MS SQL AG cluster has a primary replica, as well as a secondary replica,I have create a Commvault client for backup in Commcell, I am curious that,  which AG’s replica will be used as a source that is being accessed by Commvault backup feature?Is it primary replica or secondary replica of AG? Appreciate any help or suggestion!Thanks

Hi Guys,We are using on-premisse solution, on version 11.28.56. We have several SAP HANA servers which are backed up without any issue. Hello community,Trying to deploy a Linux Server as MediaAgent and also Access Node for o365 backup.The version is Rocky Linux 9.5 with Commvault version 11.36.41.In Package Selection, I cant find the Office 365 package!Note that the installation is performed over the internet. Is there a way to verified the from the logs that the restore media is from the aux copy and not from the primary copy?

Hello,We have three media agents, and we are doing backup and restore using MA1-vmgrp1-plan1, MA2-vmgrp2-plan2, MA3-vmgrp3-plan3.All the media have four lun mounted respectively and all 12 luns are being pathed to single library.For each of these VM groups there are 27,27 & 27 VMs are assigned to be backed.Backup is completing without error but while doing restore 2nd & 3rd MA is going into pending state after halfway mark. Even though restore is completing but no use as it is going into pending state in-between.This is happening only in case of ddb enabled on commvault, in case of no ddb there is no issue while restore.DDB only for MA one and for 2nd and 3rd MA there is not DDB partition.Please feel free to ask for any additional details.Hoping for some reply.Thanks in advance.

Hi,I am looking at security on the CommServe and have a question.I use CV only (non AD) accounts with MFA enabled. If someone was to compromise my account they could create a MASTER account with NO MFA. Is there a way to require a second MASTER account to approval an account getting created ? Thanks 

Se we back up most of our servers and I feel comfortable that we are pretty well protected but management is looking for a single report that displays ALL servers that are backed up, their retention cycle and how often each server is backed up Is such as report possible. We are looking to keep it as simple as possible but list every server so that list can be compared to our complete master lit of servers that exist

Hi guys,  i just deployed a VMware Image of CV ( 11.36.39) primary and also secondary one for secondary commserve. I wanna configure a livesynce between comserve in my lab. I just log in the primary one as root and dowloaded a commvault_linux_media_11.36.tar and extract it and run a “Install commserver faillover” nothing happen and hangs… any advices or best-practices  ?  

God day! I deleted some backup jobs to get the Air Gap usage below the purchased capacity again.  How soon will this be reflected in the  “Storage Utilization By Application - Report” and the “Usage summary”? Right now both views show indeed different figures for holt and cold storage. Thanks, Chris

For VADP backup: Sublient A is configured with 20 VMs; if I create a new subclient B and remove/split the content of the subclient A to ex. 10 VMs per sublient (same SP).Will this trigger full backup on subclient B? or it will continue with incrementals.

I would like to inquire about the specific permission or role that restricts non-master users from manually modifying the backup job retention settings in the storage policy.We would prefer not to enable the WROM option.

Hello, Is there a way to set the below value globaly to be higher than the default ( 10K ) ? The Page Size option allows you to specify the number of objects to be displayed in the browse window. You can browse through each page list by selecting the appropriate page number in the Browse window. Once the default is changed, it uses the same page size which was used in previous browse request until changed again. In the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Agent. Right-click a backup_set or subclient, then click All Tasks > Browse and Restore. From the Restore Options dialog box, click the Advanced Options tab. Enter a value for Page Size. Click View Content.   Thanks

I scheduled FS backup to run at 6pm and created a blackout window between 6am and 5:50pm for weekdays. This is a large backup (many TBs) and it wont be finished for weeks. The idea is that the running backup job that started at 6pm will run to 6am the 2nd day. Then it goes into queue state and resumes automatically at 6pm. However backup jobs continue to run after 6 am in the morning and I have to manually stop it. After some research I found below. https://documentation.commvault.com/11.20/blackout_window.html  "If any operations are already running within the time window, then the operations are not affected. The window rules are applicable only to the new operations that start after the time window."  Is there a way to achieve what I need?

Hi community,we have a lot of LTO9 tapes with only few Index Jobs on them (Jobs are in megabyte range) and I would like to re-use these LTO9 tapes (17.58 TB) for other tape-out copies. When these jobs will expire, nobody knows.  Is there any way to copy still valid index jobs to another tape?Pick for refresh, tape to tape copy…?Thanks
