Morning,   Is it possible to schedule client throttling? I’m getting users complaining of sudden drops in bandwidth at odd times of the day, and when it happened to a tech, he was able to pinpoint it to a backup in progress. It dropped performance from 2 Gb/s to under 100 Mb/s, briefly, but it was very noticeable to all on that segment. Thanks!Roger

Hello Commvault Community We had backed up two very important firewall devices (Linux) which sits in Australia East and the media agent that is holding the backup sits in Western Europe.  The job gets so far then bombs out with error 91:145.  I’ve logged a call with support but was wondering if anyone had come across such issues before.   Many thanksTonyQ

We’ve been using disk libraries on our offsite DR mediaagent for years now. We only store the last week of changed data in it in case of absolute disaster (we store a year’s worth of changes on our on-prem mediaagent).Our office just got a large amount of S3-compatible storage and gave us a path to it. I successfully added a new “S3-compatible” cloud library to my commserve and I can see it (a single mount path, vs the 50 mount paths my disk library has, going to each disk).My goal is to change my existing Storage Policy settings, the policy called “SSCC Auxilary Copy” so that it stops using the disk library, and starts using the Cloud library for all future Aux copies.I went into the properties of the Storage Policy and I see the tab “Data Paths” that only contains a single item, with the correct MediaAgent02 listed, and the current disk library, just also named “MediaAgent02” - I think this is what has to be changed. Hi all!On our Windows Media Agents i noticed that there are two Commvault Services installed where the startup type is set to “manual”.Commvault VSS Provider Service Commvault VSS Hardware Provider ServiceDoes that mean that CV will only start these services as needed? Hello,  We have the following Secondary Copy to LTO9 Tape Retention configured across all our storage policies. Good day! I’ve got some strange problem. After upgrade from 11.28 to 11.32.69 database backups stopped working with errorError Code: [19:1942]Description: The RBS Store Client option is not selected. Please configure it and resubmit the job.We are using BLOB storage in content database. MS RBS.msi is installed and configured on SharePoint server (before upgrade backups worked fine). Now I can’t find where to enable RBS Store Client option.I’ve tried to create new subclient, reinstall agents on SharePoint server with now luck. Could anyone direct me, where can I enable this option?Thanks in advance.

Hello guys,is there an equivalent available for Plans, like available for Storage Policies, where I can use a different target for transactionlogs and archive logs, when assigning a StoragePolicy to a subclient or instance. ?I formerly used NonDedup Storage Policies as a transaction log Policy linked into the Dedup Storage Policy used for database backups.When associating a dabase storage policy, the correct NonDedup policy has been automatically assigned to the transactionlog part of instance or sublient configuration.Cannot find it in plans and having problems when trying to assign them using plan rules.(currently running on 11.32.73)RgdsKlaus

Hi, I have a Hyperscale setup with Mount Path Reserve Space set to 6144GB. I’m guessing this is set by default and you should avoid changing this. In this setup we have typically statis data and we are close to the limit, passing it during weekends and then getting back some space after Data Aging. The system will also have less data to protect in the future as backups will be re-routed to a new Hyperscale.I’m wondering if the Reserved Space could be carefully lowered and what the risk will be. I also noted if I right click the Hyperscale Mount Path I have the option “Release Reservation”, what does that do? Hello Community I hope someone can help?  I need to test a new VPN line our network department have activated to send data from our on prem media agent up to cloud storage for infinite copies.  Unfortunately our month end jobs are not on a schedule and copy data up, as and when it comes in.  Is there a way to copy data (jobs) from one copy to the month end copy then run an aux copy on demand so i can test the routing of this traffic? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. thanksTonyQ

Hi all,After installing the MediaAgent Package on some Windows Servers (These just require the component and do not not act as a Data Mover or host a DR Share) I get the once a day 64:1142 Critical Code Event logged:  Administrative share are enabled on the MediaAgent XXX which could lead to potential security exploits, please review and take necessary steps.Having reviewed https://kb.commvault.com/article/72274 this article only really seems concerned with disk libraries and DR Shares that use an Admin share in its path. I have 2 servers that this is being logged in event viewer for, yet they only have the default C$, Admin$ and IPC$.  Should Commvault be flagging the C$ as something that should be removed?  Indeed if I apply a reg key (AutoShareServer = 0) the alert is suppressed, but this also removes the Admin$ S

Hi, we have a VM attribute setup in Vcenter for the VM and this attribute last backup is modified with the date and time when the intellisnap snapshot is removed.The attributes are backup status and last backup.  We would like to add another attribute in to record the date and time the intellisnap snapshot is created.  I assume we would have to setup the attribute in VI first or can we get Commvault to do this?Thanks 

Hi Everyone!!  I am new here and sorry for my lack of knowledge.  We have a CommVault CommCell and we have changed the location of our primary storage.  In the past to get around this we kept all of our naming and ip addressing the same on the new array as we did on the old so we were able to just slip in with no issues.  This time however due to a internal merger we are now sharing resources with other parts of our company and as such instead of a individual netapp filer dedicated to our enviorment we are using a SVM that is part of a larger storage array.  My Problem is that we have a bunch of old jobs that did not complete due to 1. space issues on our backup target  2. issues with jobs that were deleted ( or partially deleted ) that has caused our commcell to be very grumpy.  We were able to hold the jobs that were broken and start to move data, additionally we split up our jobs ( had 1 job for 4 volumes) to individual jobs for each volume to keep from having issues as we
