Hello, What is the best approach to backup Shared mailboxes in metallic. I have created a Dynamic Distribution List that has a query search to find all shared mailboxes. Unfortunately, the DDL it’s not being detected in the metallic side. Environment:Exchange onlinePlace of DDL: Exchange Online Thank you in advance.

Hi all,Hoping someone can help me out - I recently enabled archive mailbox on my Exchange Online backups and I’m seeing that my backup health has dropped and some jobs are committing.Is this normal, if not - how can I fix it?Thanks

①What does Metallic refer to for "Team Display Name"?②What does Metallic refer to for "Team SMTP Address"? Is it referring to the email address of the M365 group that is automatically created when a team is created?

Sorry for all the questions!I’m seeing Metallic Accounts in Azure Active Directory - Just wanted to know what these accounts are used for and can they be deleted without affecting anything.They start with CVEXBackupAccount then some numbers but are my organizations email address? 

I have data on MRR which is currently connected to a on-prem Commcell, unfortunately my capacity is full.Can I migrate this data to another MRR subscription that’s linked to my Metallic subscriptions?

Hello Metallic Community,I am currently researching a comprehensive data protection solution for our Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environment. While evaluating different backup solutions, Metallic caught my attention due to its cloud-based nature, potentially offering a seamless integration with our mostly cloud-based components.However, in the course of my research, I found information suggesting that AVS primarily supports the hotadd transport mode for data protection. Given this, I'm trying to understand if it's mandatory to have a proxy within the AVS environment to perform backups.To provide some context, I'm considering setting up our backup server (potentially Azure MABS or Metallic Backup Gateway /Metallic MA) within a dedicated VNet. This setup aims to isolate our internet-facing devices in a separate VNet. The plan is to establish connectivity to AVS via ExpressRoute, allowing our backup solution to interact with the AVS vCenter,  take snapshots, transf

My exchange backups are running long again like they did when I first started backing up. My backup health is at 76%.Does anyone know why this would happen?

I’m trying to restore a OneNote notebook and it’s not restoring in Teams. The error suggests to check “Notes.ReadWrite.All” permissions in my Azure app and I’ve confirmed that the permission is there and valid. 

I just recently set up Office 365 for Metallic, but I don’t see the storage details. Where can I find these?

Hi all,I’m trying to do a restore from an old domain to a new one from an Archive mailbox, I was wondering why the restore keeps creating another folder and going to the old domain?

Hello,we are using Metallic from quite some time, but for the past few weeks, we have observed that after weekly patches, the backup system breaks down. In most cases, we are unable to perform backup and recovery tasks on Saturday and half of Sunday. Not to mention a set of minor and major glitches that, for example, cause backup jobs to be skipped without any notification for no reason because of a broken backup schedule. Thus, if one doesn’t monitor the backup jobs carefully, one will not even be aware that such a problem exists. During downtime, reporting is also broken in most cases. Recently due to constant issues it’s difficult to be regulatory compliant using the Metallic SaaS/BaaS platform. What’s even more important, currently we cannot rely on backup system which by design should be our last line of defense.  Where can we expect Metallic platform to be more reliable, stable and quality oriented?   

I just recently noticed an error during my OneDrive Online backups causing the jobs to fail. The error I’m getting is“Section size is greater than 2gb, Consider splitting into multiple sections As the section continues to grow in size, please consider deleting this section and splitting it into smaller sections of less than 2 GB”.Is this something I can fix on my own?

we are using laptop plan which was by default created , now we have requirement to remove the below alert or atelast edit send to user on the below alert No backup for last 4 days Typei dont see the alert in manage - alert - alert defenition to edit nor am getting option to remove it from plan. if i create a new plan i can see there is an option to edit it in the plan level , we can remove or add

HiI’m seeing that we add new environments to our Dynamics 365 instance, our Metallic backup doesn’t automatically add them to the backup and we have to add manual. This happens even when we have everything selected for backup.We also see that sometimes these sites show as “Not accessible” in the status.Can someone help?

It says my credentials are incorrect when my jobs run even though I can use them to log into VMware vCenter. How can I troubleshoot this?

My company has an enterprise subscription and I’ve been advised that the CEO’s mailbox may be greater than 100GB. If that is the case will it still get backed up in Metallic? It hasn’t been migrated yet.Thanks in advance.Gerry

Hello I’m trying to understand the versioning of Metallic towards Commvault. I assume that Metallic is just a Commvault with some GUI changes and feature limitations to improve user experience. So, I can see that Metallic agent is running at version 11.3001.36 The most adequate Commvault counterpart seems to be 11.30.23, Platform Release 2023 Preview Version  It means that Metallic users are running on preview versions with different patches or these patches were not yet deployed at Commvault? Or it works differently, how then?

Hi , the data that's backup’d  in metallic cloud , be copied(AUX copy  or similar ) to On-premise  Commvault (Hyperscalex or similar)?  any lead would be appreciated ?

Hello,I would like to ask you advice on my VMware backup Plan.  I took this over from someone else and have been reviewing it.  I have a local storage archive for 90 days and online for 7 years.  I have 8 revolving recovery points being backed up.  The under RPO the backup frequency shows run incremental every 24hrs.  Under Database options the RPO is every 4 hours for log backup and full backup every 3 weeks.  My main concern is the incremental job every 24 hours.  I’m new to Metallic and want to make sure that this configuration is recommended and enough.  I know the engineer helped set all of these plans up so I think it may be fine but I want to be sure.  Thoughts??
