please support , an incremental backup hanged and does not open streams however full and archive log backup is running normally 

Hi guys, I would like to know how to see logs when I change a retention.I do not see anything in the Logs folder, not even in the event viewer on the console. Any ideas? Regards,

Hi all,do you have any idea how to troubleshoot this issue - While accessing a drive the Serial Number [xxx] is different from expected Serial Number [yyy] It seems, that there is a mismatch in communication between two tape drives and the library. We have already tried to deconfigure/configure tape library within Commvault without success.

Command center is not loading the many information and report as well. can see below error on the logs.  HI Team,We got a query from DBA team as TempDB monitoring Job is running and its random called by CV, This Job is calling 2 procs in CV and they are the one using OLE Automation, So, disabling won’t help either since it’s externally called. What to do with this job if we keep OLE Automation disabled. do we need to disable OLE automation on commserver and any idea why this job is running on commserve ?  

Currently, we have our AD servers backing up via the iDataAgent using a service account with domain admin permissions. This fact is making our compliance team very nervous.  Has anyone had any success performing these types of backups using a domain user with a more restrictive role?AD Setup

Hello, I am wondering what this report means, i sow another topic about its. And if you make multi MP on the same drive then the calculation of storage might be wrong. We have 2 Libraries and we using 4 MA's. For each LUN i create seperate MP at disklibrary/name of MP At the fstab configuration the 1 LUN not mounted on 2 differents MP's. So what does this reports means ?    We are using 4 MA's and 2 libraries. MA a and b sharing MP's and c and d sharing aswell

I’ve learned enough lessons over the years to look closely at pending delete records, run regular DDB verifications, and purge orphan files.Recently we have had two separate issues where physical pruning of data was not occurring on the physical Storage.The first was a corruption of Storage Permissions on our Isilon that prevent physical pruning.The second was related to corrupt records in the DDB that prevented physical pruning.In both cases the DDB looked healthy. None of the regular indicators such as a high “Number of Pending Prunable  Records” showed a problem. The graphs showed significant drops in Primary and Secondary Blocks.Both these problems had been there for a long period of time and were only detected because we were looking for an anomaly. Im looking for a way to Aux copy (via selective copy)? only for specific jobs.For example: only a full VM job.I know that I can “filter” aux copies for All Fulls, Daily Fulls, Monthly Fulls etc, but I need actually to aux copy only for specific jobs!The source copy is a Disk and the destination is a Blob Storage.Is there any way to do it?I see an option to “Do not Automatically select jobs”, but Im not sure how it works. 

When I do a Browse and Restore, I’m getting the message “Folder size shown is approximate.  Please select Compute folder size option from browse options for accurate size”.Can anyone tell me how to navigate to this option?  I don’t see in anywhere within the Control Panel.ThanksKen

Hello,I’m looking for a way to set a timeout for PreBackup and PostBackup process.My expectation was a default timeout of 600 seconds. Therefore I created a batch script which has a wait of 700 seconds included. Commvault was patiently waiting for the script to finish, but I would like to have a timeout after which Commvault fails the job.Does anybody know a way to set such a timeout? I could not find any hint on this and also no additional setting.

Good Day,we recently migrated a bunch of Backupjobs from primary Copy to Secondary-Copy (Tape) and deleted the jobs in the primary Copy.Due to a demand from the project, we need the copied backup jobs back in the primary pool.Unfortunately I am not able to select the storagepool in a thirdcopy in the storagepolicy → create new copy.Is there a way to migrate the jobs back?Best regards

Hi! Wondering if it is possible to have a remote Commserve used in a Livesync configuation communicate back to the initial Commserve via a deployed Network Gateway or Network Proxy Appliance? All agents, media agents at site will use the Network Gateway but is it possible for the remote Commserve to communicate through it as well? 

i know that we are currently using OpenJDK for opening the commcell in new installations.but seeing as Oracle is changing their license model, we have been getting qeustions.is this something that will automatically/changed be updated during a new update?or will customers with an old installation need to manually remove and re-install the Commcell? thank you,  kind Regards, Thos Gieskes.

Hello Good morning,please help, I have a backup of a Hyper-V with Job Id 30030 which backs up about 100 Virtual machines, according to the images attached, I just need to copy the VM Job 30084 (only one machine of the 100), from disk or tape to another tape completely with a different retention this from the console and not from the command center, because according to customer requirements are not used plans. this is the backup job of the hyper-v with the 100 machines 👇 and this is the VM job 30084 from the copy of the virtual machine that I need to send to a completely different tape  👇
