What are the fixes and new features in Commvault maintenance release 11.24.60? 

Hello All, From few days we are struggling with restore AKS from our environment. Commvault  backup working without any issue. We tried to restore AKS by using Linux Node and Windows Node. Every time we received the same issue. Error is: Error Code: [91:145]Description: Unable to write data to the Virtual Disk [/opt/commvault/iDataAgent/jobResults/CV_JobResults/iDataAgent/VirtualServerAgent/Restore/201136/solace-dev`HelmChart`solace-dev`d91d2911-dfc4-4c32-a6ed-2e1bd553bac6/VMConfig.cvf]. Please ensure that the proxy is able to communicate with the virtual machine host and that there is sufficient disk space available. Details: [Success]Source: 10.29.164.144, Process: vsrstCould someone can help or show the way how investigate that type of issue?Regards, Michal

Hello Commvault Community, We encountered a problem with editing the file placed on Edge Drive. After clicking "Edit", the following message is displayed (no Edge Drive Web Edit) - "Edge Drive Web Edite is not running. Download the new latest version of Edge Drive Web Edit. If you already have the latest version, make sure that the tool is running and you are logged in. " Below the message there is a link to download the latest version of the tool.After clicking download, the following message is displayed - "We could not find what you are looking for". We figured out why this is so. The culprits here are linux and webconsola installed on this server, because it does not have the cvwebedit_x86.msi and cvwebedit_x64.msi installers in its files. In the Commvault files on Windows I found the previously mentioned MSI files and then installed the appropriate version on the workstation. In Edge Drive

I dont see an option to set the alert when the Jobs “Failed to Start” I’m currently running this query daily to generate a report of such jobs SELECT startdate    ,clientname    ,idataagent    ,instance    ,backupset    ,subclient    ,backuplevel    ,jobstatus    ,jobid FROM CommcellBackupInfo WHERE jobstatus = 'Failed to Start' and backuplevel = 'Synthetic Full' and iDataAgent = 'Virtual Server' and startdate >= DATEADD(day, -1, GETDATE()) order by jobid desc ; But how can i get a real time alert for whenever any job “Failed to Start”   

When installing SAP Archive Link on a newly installed Sles15 Server, it says the Tomcat Web Service Port is already in use. Tried port 80 and 8088, but all are in use.ss -lnp | grep 8080 gives nothing. If I use port 9099 it is going further with the installation. Anyone any idea?thanks in advance.Marcel

I have a RAID-6 array of SSDs, 3.5TB in size, on my main mediaagent, that is configured as a single volume that contains both the index folder, and the DDB. For the past 4 months, we’ve seen an explosion of growth on this volume, almost doubling. My linux file server admin believes that one of our customer’s research projects is creating millions of small files, editing them over a few days, then deleting them; i.e. inode growth and free space is about the same, but of course commvault is needing to track and retain this information in each incremental backup.We added another SSD to the array in early June to hold off the array getting full, but as you can see, the massive growth continues.Our backup retention strategy is 3x incremental backups every day, Sunday through Friday, and Saturday is used exclusively to create a synth ful

I started a quick (Full) DDB Verification Job to determine how much space can be recovered with DDB Space Reclamation and I am wondering if the Total Data to Process is somewhat equivalent to Back-end size. Is it right? I'm re-reading the guide “Deduplication Building Block Guide” and planning some changes. Maybe adding more nodes. One more question regarding Back-end size (for Disk Storage). In the context of “Deduplication Building Block Guide”, Is “DDB Disk” a partition? If yes, so a setup with “4 Node with 2 DDB Disk per node” = 4 servers with Media Agent software installed with 2 partitions each one?

Hello everyone,I have an alert from CommVault that says:Description: A suspicious file [D:\ArielDB\Customers\APS\Ariel\Sets\Prd\Temp\hwot5ftk.afd] is detected on the machine [SRV-PRDP101]. Please alert your administrator.I read in https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11_sp20/article?p=7879_1.htm that “A Honeypot file placed by Commvault mimics this user document and baits ransomware into encrypting this file.” This server is a virtual machine that acts as a file server for our production system and has the “restore only” client installed.  Because it is the restore only client, I believe that there’s no way for CommVault to place a honeypot file there to check for malware encryption.  Is this correct?  Is there a way to check the honeypot file(s) placed on a server by CommVault?Ken

I'm trying to assemble a list, for customer billing based on companies, of unique client object who are protected by all forms of protection methods. So think of application-level, file-system-level and VM-level and all within the scope of a company. So I though this would be an easy walk in the park by enumerating views:Lic_CUR_ProtectedVMs_vw - to retrieve a list of VMs who are protected on VM-level Lic_CUR_VOIs_vw - to retrieve a list of VM's who are protected using an agent.I would then make sure to filter out the duplicatie objects (I will have to do some filtering machine as I'm already noticing duplicate client computer with an _ in their names) and to remove the clients from the output of Lic_CUR_VOIs_vw who exist in the output of Lic_CUR_ProtectedVMs_vw because I want to make sure we capture all VMs running on an on-premise cloud platform which  doesn't support VM-level protection.Now I'm running into an issue in whe

Hello guys, I have a question. Is any way to get a list of failed items of O365 backup (Sharepoint, Teams, OneDrive)? I can see the number of failed objects but I cannnot see any details. I have searched the BOL but I couldn’t find any information about it. Rgds,Kamil

Hello Guys,In my CommVault setup, I have selected scheduled monthly first full backup job in auxiliary copy as shown in below screen snap, but its still selecting additional backup which triggered manually from HANA command line.  Similarly, if the command line triggers the add on job, it did not considered as first full of that month and picked up another scheduled job for auxiliary.  is any specific setting I have to consider which will not select the command line backup jobs triggered from HANA command line, this is happening

Hello Everyone. i’m facing a weird issue regarding all the jobs related to a specific mediaagenti have a MediaAgent for sql backups and we have log backup runs hourly.i have recently upgraded the CommCell to 11.25.11since then all log backups start in waiting status with no errors it stay in wait state for hours and all log backup fails to start because of this behavior. i dont understand why this  behavior happens, or the upgrade maybe related to this behavior any tips ?

 why data transferred ‘0’?

We try backup PostgreSQL files but while we backup job started after a scan phase some temp files were being deleted by the PostgreSQL system. Then CV couldn't find scanned files, after that we took error.We try to additional settings(link down below) for sPGDirIgnoreList but didn’t fix the issuehttps://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/21723_backup_troubleshooting.html Can you  help me to this issue ??  

hi alllately i received a lot of mails alert about File Activity Anomaly…i got from one specific server alerts about 4-5 files that found a suspicious file after checking the files, i deleted what i don't know, but there is few files that i know and they needed. i cant delete them. how can i “white-list” them? I still need them on the server, and just need to stop the alert on this specific file. is it possible? if so, how?thanks all:)

as a part of GCP cost saving, can we use small size CommCell server (standby) for HA DR (live sync) feature and change accordingly whenever required before making failover from active to passive server to make it active.
