I know 10 Laptop client is consuming the operating instance License.Please tell me. existing client agent How to free the operating instance license from the client agent and how to apply  Desktop & Laptop License in client agent without Uninstallation. 

Commvault Some Backup job not working. after running backup job is showing error :{32:408}Error message  : The Usage for Operating instance has been exceeded the licensed usage.   

I would like to test the Linux version, where can I download the Commvault code ?Not finding it either in the Cloud or on MA !Thank you,

we are using Commvault archiving solution where we are successfully archiving exchange2019 but cleanup job is not working.Even cleanup job is running successfully but space is not getting saved for any inbox. exchange admin have put quota on database itself which define quota for each user like echange2013.what would be issue. please suggest.

Hi, I’m doing some test for a customer to replace Robot Copy with this feature. But isn’t clear what trigger is to replicate data ??If we just add a small file at source couple of 100 KB the replication is not happening in the next following minutes !?So was what will trigger the replication ?Thank you

Is it possible to restore complete SharePoint Online sites to on-premise SharePoint server?

Is it possible to restore Exchange Online mailboxes to on-premise Exchange server?

Recently we added Qumulo to our environment and are backing it up.  What I have observed is that since then the throughput on all jobs have significantly decreased. (not sure if related, but who knows)  We are working with Support, but I wanted to see if anyone else may have ran into this issue with Qumulo.     Job ID 752435 (incremental backup) took over 11 hours to back up 154.41 GB.  Job ID 752486 (full backup) took 7 hours 13 minutes to back up 12.81 TB.The above jobs do not make sense to me considering their difference is size and the amount of time to back up.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you Community!

Hi All,I was wondering if having clients using index V1 and others using V2 can coexist on the same commvault environment ? I mean, does have any impact on the Index cache ? On the MA performance ? ...etc Any information or tip would be welcome.Regards.

We are Planning to deploy new CommCell console/COMM vault environment with Physical media agent (Cisco ucs240 M5) . This is the standalone media agent and will be directly connected to core switch instead of FI. Just want to know best practices for media server configuration and its network requirements.(IP ad VLAN). Can all things can be configured using the CIMC console on the servers etc. 

Hi Team a few questions on HSX especially on network connectivity and replicationcan we configure HSX to accept connection only on certain IP and ports? Can the replication between 2 HSX to be on 1 particular network port or it will have to be whole HSX cluster in the sense all the hsx nodes need to be able to communicate with each other across 2 Data centers? How does the replication between 2 HSX works and numbers of ports required etc

Hello,I’m preparing to update our production Commvault instance from SP16 to 11.24. I’ve reviewed the prerequisites and planning documentations listed here https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/2621_planning_feature_release_installations_01.html, however I’m struggling to find information around the SQL Server requirements and upgrade procedures. I happened to stumble across another article stating that 11.24 requires SQL Server 2019. I’m glad I saw that before the upgrade was actually done as our Commserve DB is currently running on SQL Server 2014. I had planned on installing the upgrade through the Commcell Console and pushing out to all relevant components in the specified order (Commserve, Media Agents, Clients). So my question now is, will the upgrade process through the Commcell Console also automatically update the SQL Server to 2019? If so, is this the preferred method? Are there any risks or drawbacks? If the job is on 80 % thewn commvaul;t start over again with the job. If I look in the log the backupo is finished on oracle site. Commvault don't recieve the message that the job is done.It occurs after we do the upgrade to the new version 11.25.14.Any body the same issues?

I`v been back and forth with support on this for 2 weeks now, doesn't seem to be getting anywhere, figured i`ll ask here 11.24.21Exchange 2019i have a mailbox from offline DB , I create the offline restore point in CommCell console, then proceed to browse the mailbox for restore (big one ~80gb) to a different mailbox created for this job. issue is I'm getting throttling alerts in ExMiningAgent log , I've already covered the new throttling policy for Commvault article and added the service account, Exchange servers were restarted for good measure.article about policy:https://documentation.commvault.com/hitachivantara/v11/essential/93369_setting_throttling_policy.htmlalso added destination mailbox to policy (was asked by support)  , still same issue is the mailbox is so big and it gets throttled so bad after 24hours exactly job crashed before it can finish ,support asked me to add additional settings on media server and it didn't help (services were restarted)Name:nDMRSIDLETIMEOUTCategor

Hi,is it a good idea to Upgrade the Operating System of an Commserve and a MediaAgent in place or is it better to install a new machine and migrate the CS or MA? What is the supported way to get a new OS? Kind RegardsFlorian

My customer setup a Postgresql Patroni cluster. I found this description Patroni : Setting up a highly available PostgreSQL Cluster - CYBERTEC (cybertec-postgresql.com)If he backup one of the passiv nodes he got “Could not put the Cluster in backup mode”PostGresBackupParent.logAnalyzeResult() - eRRoR --  PQresultStatus indicates failure for SELECT pg_start_backup('name'). Error:ERROR:  recovery is in progressI would say it is the nature of a “not master” node to be in recovery status.Backup of master node cause no issues.I found no document in BOL how to configure a patroni cluster or howto backup it.Is it supported?

Hi Team, Hope all are doing good ! we have many SQL servers which has 500 DB’s each, is it some option in commvault to run on-demand backup for  only one DB out of 500 DB’s. Hi all,   I have COMM Vault Version 11.2 installed in OracleLinux7. From time to time, a few Oracle databases v. 11.2.0.4  are  UNKOWN in COMM Vault dialog box. I have checked the permissions of the user connection -C##DBAAS_BACKUP, granted as SYSDBA-, as well as the user catalog and RMAN connection. Both are find, but for an strange reason, sometimes my connection is UNKOWN. However, if I change C##DBAAS_BACKUP to SYS, the connection comes back to OPEN. This is a weird behavior, since I have mentioned before, this specific user has all the permissions required. Any idea?Regards,  Laura

I have about 100 subclients in a backup set that I would need to move and I rather not have recreate them with their distinct settings.As per the screenshot, I have 2 backup set under VMware and I would like to move some subclients from defaultbackupset to t320 servers.Is that possible?
