Hello Team,I am getting the error while running data aging job. Could you please assist me?Error Code: [32:332]Description: Failed to get SQL Chaining Information.

 I wanted to apply the latest SQL server updates on the SQL Server 2019 backend on my 2 Commservers ( Primary and DR)What are some of the safe and effective steps in doing it without causing any harm on the log shipping already configured.The steps I have in mind so far are as follows:11. Stop all Commvault services  on primary ( Instance001)2. Apply SQL Server updates on Primary and DR Commserver3. Start Commvault services on primary ( instance 001)I think I am missing something, please help

Is anyone else seeing a “400 Bad request” error?I created a ticket for it, but I am curious if anyone else have seen it too..

Hello Commvault Community,  Do you know if it is possible to change the screen resolution while performing the 1-touch procedure? When someone uses this solution (1-touch) and has a small screen at their disposal, it is difficult to complete the entire process without using an XML file with embedded answers. A person who uses the 1-touch configuration quite often claims that in previous versions there was no such problem and now the resolution is extremely low (process performed by ISO for SP32).Thanks in advance,Kamil  

Hi all,after Commvault software upgrade to 11.32.49 Exchange backup is failing with the following error alert - Error - Did not find an exchange server with IDA installed, No Exchange Server available. Indeed, it is not possible to discover active DAG servers. There are only some DAG servers greyed out. However, when trying Check readiness, all seems to be ready. Additionally, we have tried to unistall and install client Commvault software again. Moreover, when tried to add again Exchange client from Client Computer → New Client → Exchange DAG Client → Discover - DAG Discover failed. Do you have any idea how to troubleshoot this issue? Any help will be much appreciated! 

Hello, I have some issue with finishing on time with FS Agent backup, the widow time is 6 hours. Till 2 weeks ago i had no probleem with scanning and then starting backup., but now the scan taking to long and then starting of backup taking to long aswell.  Here is some logs of last failed backup. The backup staerting at 2AM, the scan finished at 5AM, there is 3 hour more to take the backup and 8 am the job wil be killed because of run time.  The amount of files is not really changed

Hi, we have a few VM Groups which I want to disable and exclude from the Schedule. The VM Groups are associated to a Server Plan. If I disable the Backup of the VM Group the Backup Schedule will start the Backup like for the other associated Clients but will fail in the end.Is there a way to disable the VM Grroup and keep the Backups and also disable the VM Group from being triggered by the Schedule?The Job is also visible as Failed in the Job List and all the Reports which is a little bit confusing.Kind RegardsFlorian

Hi,Since the 4th of April we see our M365 Exchange backups failing with the error:“Error enumerating messages in one or more folders. Use View Failed Items to see the folder names.“When we look at the failed items we see:“Failed - All messages in folder [\~Archive Mailbox\~TeamsMessagesData], mailbox []The article Exchange Online backups fail with "Cannot open folder TeamsMessagesData. [Not allowed to access Non IPM folder.]" (commvault.com) does not apply to us as we applied MR 11.34.20 last Thursday (4th of April)Does anyone know if Microsoft changed their API’s (again) or dit Commvault introduce a bug?

Hello, I have an environment in which the commservers are separated on the domain and network side as well as on the hardware side from the clients to be secured (HW firewall, segmentation, backup domain, standalone ESXI for CV commservers etc). This means that no push installation from the commserve works. We had then installed clients with a software cache in the target domains, but now installing from them no longer works either. VMware NSX and other hardening measures were introduced.Is there a description/process flow somewhere of how exactly the remote push installation works and what could be limiting it here? Does the client to be installed access the software cache via SMB or is the data sent there? Who makes the access via WMI/DCOM (Commserve, SoftwareCache Client) and can this be controlled? Thanks for information.

I know we are supposed to use the REST API as much as we can. But it still provide valuable information on how to create the custom reports.

Now i have open ticket Case Update: 240520-133, My suspicious question as below.  - What different between IAM AD application & IAM VM role assignment, now i setup with IAM VM does it mean all azure service will connect by commvault acess node on azure ?  - Now i have commvault on-premise infra and then i create access node on azure by marketplace (access node byol) and the install mssql-agent service for backup is correct for best practise ?  - As i see on document (https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/setting_up_application_and_tenant_for_azure_resource_manager_01.html) can be only setup to backup azure sql by only one way ? (Setting up an Application and Tenant for Azure Resource Manager :  app registration) as i see on azure now they can access via entraid. Thank you for help, very hard to find clear document resource T___T

Hi,We use a tape library as DR. It’s configured to only keep one full backup of servers, shares etc.Now I noticed that it doesn’t release tapes though there’re a lot newer backups for the shares or servers.To check it I’ve viewed the tape and what’s not greyed out.Then I checked the fullbackups for that share/server/db etc. and used view media for the fullbackups.Questions:When checking a subclients full backups and viewing media and it then shows a couple of tapes. Does that mean that the full backup does exist on those tapes or does it also show those tapes regardless if the backup is partially or fully on the tapes? Is there a job that we can run to correct and release these tapes if they already should have been released since there already exist newer backups on tape?

Hi,We have CommServe LiveSync setup. During test failover I noticed that Web Console and Command Center is not running on passive node, with error message “This service is currently unavailable”.Is it expected behavior or not for Test failover?   

Hi All, we have switched the Mail Server  and added the new adress inside of the control panal. The normal Reports and test amils are working fine but we had an issue with the workflows. For Example the dbmaintanance: 3400 786 05/27 09:25:07 8815232 WorkflowMail: [send mail (Email_sendMail)] failed to send message, host [xyz], port [587]org.apache.commons.mail.EmailException: Sending the email to the following server failed : xyz:587Caused by: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 451 5.7.3 STARTTLS is required to send mail [xyz]So in the control panal we can set the use starttls but inside of the workflow not and it looks like the workflow engine dont use the global settings. Do you have an idear ?

From the CS GUI, the JOB Controller Operations has ‘VM Admin (Backup).We are using 11.28.44 FR and this is newly created subclient from  VM backup.Is there a fix for this?  Appreciate it.

Anyone know what does its mean?   Error - Description: [Media write operation failure] [Dedupe cloud media] [Failed to validate the cloud server certificate authenticity, either the cloud server presented an invalid certificate or a self-signed certificate. If the cloud server using self-signed certificate, please set additional setting MediaAgent CloudServerCertificateNameCheck with value 2 to skip peer certificate verification.]

hey together,I need a report or a workflow that shows me the pressure record on tape, disc and cloud. Ideally 24 hours, 7 days and a month.Do you have an idea what I can use?
