Commserver production failover is taking long time at Perform Last sync up before failover

We are trying to restore a user's messages from the web portal due to legal issue. When I search for the account it appears to be completely grayed out. And when selected I am unable to see any information about the account. Its almost like its corrupted. The users last backup was from Nov before they quit. I have excluded the name and info but its very strange that this mailbox is experiencing this.

This trap is based on this configuration:   For now we do have that one Alert configured for the whole Environment, but we would like to separate it for Production and Test server. This will be done by setting two different alerts based on “subclient” name:

Afternoon folks,We have backup jobs sent synchronously to a AWS S3 bucket which uses Deep Glacier as the storage class, we need to move the 6 months worth of backup jobs (for a particular storage policy) from this Glacier bucket to an AWS S3 standard (hot) bucket so that we have the data readily available - is this possible and what are my options please.

I'm working on a POC project to enable the Commvault SQL plugin on the latest SQL Server Management Studio. I have two questions:The Commvault documentation specifies SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 18 as the supported version for the Commvault SQL plugin. Is it possible to use the current version plugin in latest SSMS 19 version? I'm unable to find a download link for the CvSQLAddInConfig.exe plugin in the documentation. Could you please provide the reference for downloading it?

System state backup is getting failed even VSS writers are stable. server reboot and Service restart also not resolved the issue. Failed to create VSS snapshot required to run system state backup. System state backup is skipped. VSS error [[0x80004005 2147500037] Unspecified error]. Please refer VSS Event logs for more details.

I had setup a scheduler to perform Full backup everyday and the storage policy associated to it has retention of 0 days and 1 cycle. I had run the scheduler manually twice on the same day, data backup is successful but the first data backup is not deleted from cloud storage yet. 

Hi! Trying to understand selective copy connected with database agents (mysql and psql). My config is : two storage polices (one from data and one for log)  full aux copy from primary to secondary DC selective copy to tape (for both log and data SP; first full backup each week with 4 week retention, first full backup each month with 6 months extended retention) What we see is not consistent across DBA agents and logs are not always copied as we would expect together with data ; postgres (FS based) write data and logs to separate storage polices, selective copy works as expected psql (with intelisnap) not execute log backup during full, logs are not copied to offsite copy, recovery need to based only on logs present on filesystem during snapshot mysql (by xtrybackup) is doing log backup to same SP during full, so logs are not in storage policy in what we expect to be and are not copied to offsite copy, du

Hi. I have a workflow in which I am creating a dynamic PopupInput. But I am struggling to get the output of the PopupInput because the entry “INPUT1” seems to not exist. I tried a few things within a “Script” activity or even in the OnComplete Script of the PopupInput. For example I iterated through “activity.getForm().getEntries()” but the entry “INPUT1” did not exist. But nothing has been working.

i would like to know the sync time for the hyperscale x hardware status , we have removed network card from nodes but it doesnt reflected in the command center same time , it took around  a day to update , is there any way to get it same time 

what all are backup type possible from exadata oracle .linux 8os image level backup is possible ? i can see only  below for detail regarding  exadata How do we configure backups on Oracle Exadata Database machines?In order to back up Oracle Exadata machines do the following: Install the Oracle agent on all the Exadata nodes. Create a RAC pseudoclient that includes all the Exadata nodes. Run the backups on the pseudoclient. The backups are performed using RMAN scripts. MediaAgents cannot be installed on Exadata database machines. They communicate with the Exadata nodes using an InfiniBand network during the backup.

Hello,On our VMware infrastructure, a Windows 2012 file server contains five datastores (LUNs) and we want to distribute these LUNs to new file servers. From the vCenter, we planned to detach the LUNs and reattach them to the new server. However, on each of these LUNs, several TB of files were archived and stubs replaced the files. What should we do to ensure that nothing is lost during these manipulations?Thank you for your help.

We currently have the problem that the backup is no longer running on 2 VMs. Hard drives need to be consolidated. If this is done, 1 - 3 backups will run through and then it will run into the same error again.Error Code: [91:399] Description: The virtual machine [cs-at00-201] reports that it has virtual disks that need consolidation and this could not be performed automatically. In order to prevent a further buildup of delta disks and possible stability issues with the virtual machine, further backups of this virtual machine will not be performed until this condition is corrected. Check if there are any locks on the virtual disks or if the disks are still attached to a backup proxy. [] This all happened after the update to 11.28.86. Before the update, the jobs ran without errors. The consolidation only affects the VSA Agent and one other VM Automount on the VSA Proxy is enabled.

Hey,we updated from 11.28 to 11.32.38.We have Monitoring Check for “Backup Copy” Jobs, and after the update to 11.32 not working, because via REST API Endpoint the “Backup Copy” Jobs are not shown anymore.Endpoint: https://<serverURL>/webconsole/api/Job?clientId=62On 11.28 the “Backup Copy” Jobs were show beside all other Jobs for the Client, but on 11.32.38 it is not shown anymore.On this Forum Topic:, it was discussed for 11.28 as an issue and could be workaround by adding:&hideAdminJobs=false  to the APi Call, but this doesnt help in 11.32→ no Backup Copy Jobs are shown.Can this be checked internally with Dev Team if there were a change

Hi community. I would like to know how I can dynamically create a PopupInput with java code. Example use case: At first I fill a variable (list) with values (e.g. from a db query). Let’s assume the value of this variable is: Value1, Value2, Value3. Now I need to ask the for information for each single value with a PopupInput like in the screenshot below.   I would guess that I need to start like this:import commvault.cte.workflow.dom.WorkflowElement;WorkflowElement PopupInput = WorkflowElement.parse(... But honestly I have no idea how to continue from here on. Best regardsPasqual

I have enabled MFA for a specific group, not for the admin. When that group enters from COMCELL successfully, they receive the MFA (PIN) to their email. TThis is an example of the email that arrives in your email. When this happens I see in the SMTPManager logs that it sends correctly and I have detected that it uses the DLL "ChilkaDotNet46.dll" located in the path: \Commvault\ContentStore\Base

Hi Community, Hope everyone is doing well. While integrating our newly installed ORACLE DB server, we came through some concerns regarding the appropriate schedule that will be assigned to the server.The DB backup will have two subclients : DATA + Archive Logs.Our intentions are to perform FULLs of the DATA and frequent ArchiveLog backup (each hour). The concern is about the Archive logs, has the backup to be run each hour to be a FULL or Incremental, or should we create a specific schedule policy for the archive logs and set inside it two schedule patterns (for example one full daily and other Incrementals the rest of the day) ? Recommendations regarding the scheduling of the backups would be appreciated. Regards.

Hi, I inherited the Commvault environment and the Commcell Console uses an AD service account to authenticate logins. Because the service account password does not meet our AD password requirement, I’ve changed it to a new/more complex password. However, I did not update it in Commcell before I logged out. Now I can’t log in any more. It gives an error “Failed to get properties for user [domain_user] in Commcell Console and in qlogin:  “qlogin: Error 0x103: Failed to get properties for user [domain_user]”. Is there any way to update it? I can’ change the password to the old one because it does not comply with the AD password policy so it refuses to accept the old password. Thanks.
