Hi,Is it correct that a new Team needs to be added manually if you want it to be included in the backup? Like https://documentation.commvault.com/11.23/essential/134544_add_team_to_teams_app.html? So unlike for example SharePoint Online, which autodiscovers and add new sites automatically.Thanks!
I have a question. We have a Azure storage account container “backup” added as Cloud Storage Library in Commvault. This storage account and container is provisioned in Commvault as CL_Backup library. Can I create an additional container in the same storage account, name it “newbackups” and add it as a separate library in Storage Resources called CL_SecondaryBackups for example?I’m trying to leverage data cost savings in Azure by using the same storage account but with multiple containers.
I am using a POST against the /Jobs endpoint to get all backup results. It’s filtered by JobType 4,5 and 14.Now i checked my SAP HANA Backups and realized that there are no LogBackups but i can see them when i’m using the job history in comcell console.Are there any more job types i should use in my filter to get all types of backups and restores?
Hello,we have created a test Azure blob space library which should be used for deduplicated secondary copy. There is an immutable policy set on the container. According to Commvault documentation we set the container retention twice the value that has the storage policy copy retention, then in the DDB properties “create new DDB every [] days” to value of storage policy copy retention. During the backup cycles, there remain sealed DDB’s, which don’t reference any job (all expired). Then someday they are indefinitively automatically removed (and then their baseline from cloud storage space). These baselines in the cloud consume very lot space (and costs). There are 3 to 4 baselines in the cloud during the backup cycles.Please has somebody experience with cloud library deduplication (with immutable blobs) ? Is really more then 3 times more space necessary for the backup ? Which process in Commvault decides, when the sealed DDB will be removed ?After test we would like to give a realisti

Hello!I recently discovered that we where missing backing up a database on a client. Asking around no one remembered removing the database in question from the subclient. Luckely this is a sandbox system, that also means we only keep 7 days of backups. Looking over them all of them was missing the database.So I looked in the SQLiDA.log file and had to scroll back all the way until March 1:st. On that day something happened. At the time of the backup, IntelliSnap, it seems the database is missing on the SQL server for whatever reason. As I understand it, the SQLiDA checks the sublient content and then checks the SQL server. If a database is missing on the SQL server the SQLiDA removes that database from the sublient, with as far as I know no notification!?! And the backup was marked as successfull!!I understand that the database would go into the default subclient, and would be backed up there. But in our case the original sublient is doing Intellisnap backups, due to the size of the da
The virtual machine reports that it has virtual disks that need consolidation and this could not be performed automatically. In order to prevent a further buildup of delta disks and possible stability issues with the virtual machine, further backups of this virtual machine will not be performed until this condition is corrected. Please check if there are any locks on the virtual disks or if the disks are still attached to a backup proxy. Unable to access file since it is locked Virtual disk file that is attached to virtual machine.

Hi,we have a customer with some issues with the Outlook Add-In. For some users the Add-In does not load when trying to access an archived email and behaves like it was not installed. For others, the add-in loads, but does not display the email content. Double clicking an archived email simply shows a blank window. With the “Quick Look” button, the email can be accessed in the browser. Also, this icon is not shown for the affected users:The customer told that uninstalling and re-installing on those clients does not solve the issue. Since it is working fine for most of the users, this seems to be an issue with the add-in itself. My question is: Are there any logs for the Outlook Add-In to check? I asked my colleagues, but no one is actually used to the Outlook Add-In since we do not get in touch with it usually. Regards Holger
