Hi all,We have 2 environments using Commvault (Dev - 195 VMs and Prod - 2175 VMs). In testing the REST APIs, I've found that the GET VM API only returns some VMs in the Prod environment. Hello,Yesterday I updated the software version on my server hosting the command center to 11.32.59. Since then, when i log into the command center, in the health tile, there is a spinning circle. Any tips on how to get this populated properly again?RegardsFergus

I tested file copy speed via configured SMB shares and found it can reach 5Gbps. I ruled out impacts from server hard drives, NICs, and network switches. After checking the network settings in both the media agent and client properties (no specific configurations were found), where else could the bottleneck be? Thank you!

we are migrating the data from old library to library , we are creating aux copy and once it is fully synced promoting the copy to primary , but for appawre sp we have snapshot copy as well, how we migrate those data , is it required ? 

Hi Team, I am trying to do an automation. As part of this, I want to add a VM that I have pulled as a variable via a form to a subclient first (if the subclient content is full, it will clean it and then add the VM) and I want to trigger the Full backup of the relevant subclient. Which Rest API, qcommand, commvault powershell module etc. can I do this better with and which API or commands can I do it with, can you give me some guidance?Another question is, how can I start the Full backup of a VM that I have pulled as a variable via a form (a VM that I have never backed up before, that Commvault does not know yet)?

Hi all-I am using the 11.36.35 2024E environment and I’ve seen no big issues, AND I haven’t seen this message ever with my storage/cv environment, until a few days or so ago. I have 18 Exagrid mount paths that hold Commvault data and replicate to  our DR location.  The mount path that’s showing “ready to retire” is one in our DR site, and that status isn’t reflected on the primary mount path.  As far as I know, it’s not been enabled by anyone.  Any thoughts at all?

Hello everyone,My secondary site has a Windows server connected to HPE MSA disk shelves.  Earlier this year we added another disk shelf but my storage admin now tells me it’s improperly configured and he wants to correct it which will result in the lose of all the files on that individual shelf.  The storage appears to CommVault as J: (51TB), K: (51TB), L: (51TB), and M: (18TB).  It is just the M: allocation that needs to be corrected.All backups have two copies with one at my primary and one at my secondary site so I *should* be able to re-copy the affected backups over to the secondary site once the storage is fixed.  Does anyone know if there’s a procedure or web site that shows how to do this?  It would be the equivalent of recovering from an disk failure.Any help would be appreciated.Ken

I am trying New setup of Live sync.Production commserve Instance002 registration with commserve is failing.As per install.log error is “client registration with commserve could not be completed at this time due to ongoing maintenance”. can any one help? Manual registration with simcallwrapper also failed.    

Dear Team, We are planning to reconfigure the Hyperscale 1.5 with a six-node cluster disk library. During the process, one of the nodes went down due to a system board issue and we are working with Hardware vendor. We would like to know if it's possible to enable backups without the failed node, and later add it back to the same cluster. Will adding the node at a later stage have any impact on the cluster's performance or stability. Regards,Mani D

I have been working with ExaGrid support on slow restore speeds for about 10 weeks now and we cannot seem to figure out why the restore speeds are so slow.  We are talking 10 hours to restore a single VMDK just to the Media Agent (as we are eliminating the overhead from VMware at the moment) to the high-speed disks on a Windows Server 2022 MA.  These are brand-new and before with Windows Server 2012, we didn't have any issues.  It seems that we are getting extremely slow READ performance when going back to the ExaGrid.  All backup jobs seem to work fine - we even moved the ExaGrid nodes to the same VLAN as the MAs to eliminate any network issues - but please keep in mind we are using Cisco ACI so everything is software-defined.  Moving them to the same VLAN actually DECREASED backup performance by 30% - we know this from using iPerf and TCP dumps.  Setup:  ** 4 x MAs - all running Windows Server 2022 with separate physical volumes for the DDBs and Indexes.  ** The

hi, We are on 11.32.89.We have Azure HCI VMs and postgre iDA is installed. The backend storage library in netapp grid S3.We understand as per documentation that Azure HCI storage is not supported so far.https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/supported_hardware_storage_arrays.html As a workaround our solution engineer gave the following option to enable. Error is Appaware with “Virtual Server Application snap” engine is only allowed from VSA workflow. I could not understand what it means ?  

It looks Commvault still only support RedHat 8.7 for access nodes in RHEV environment, this is a pretty old OS. Is there any time line when they want support 8.10 or 9.x for access nodes?

The stuff in the Deduplication documentation does not really make clear what we may need. We had Dash Copies a couple years ago and ran out of space then we migrated our backups to Hyperscale-X. Now that we are getting ready to setup Dash Copy work again need to get at least idea of what we need space wise as a best practice. BTW were on Prem not the CLOUD.

I see that currently there is another website with certification, where I have another account, from this link: https://readiverse.commvault.com/And questions which appeared in my head :).How to migrate avaialble certificates between the Commvault learning platforms? Is it still avaialble only exams for Commvault next paths layer (Engineer and Expert), I see only full courses with exams without any seperated exams. Regards, Michal

Hi, I have a full Linux Commcell and I’m deploying Commvault 11.36 using exclusively the Command Center.I just realized that out of my 2 MA grids (2-nodes grids), 2 MA of 1 grid are missing the filesystem agent and the ddb subclient and the 2 other ones have a ddb subclient but its not associated with a Plan.  I had no other option than using the commcell console to associate manually the plan for the first 2 ones and create a filesystem Agent, then create a DDB subclient and associate it with a plan. If I remove the licence both default and DDBBackup subclients are grey out. When automatically created by commvault DDBBackup subclient is activated (blue) and the default is greyed.I am not satisfied with this behaviour, is there a way to have all my media agent alligned? Thx in advance
