Hi,We have Over than 95K of objects  teams in our tenant O365 and we would backup them but we don’t have any idea of the CV Apps capacities for Teams.We have only the information that for backup SP sites we are limited to 100K sites by apps. it’s the same number for Teams?? Thank you.

Dear Team, We have recently deployed an IBM MSL3040 with an LTO-9 autoloader along with three tape drives. Media Agent 1 is directly connected to the first two drives. Media Agent 2 is directly connected to the third drive. The environment was running on Commvault V11 SP32, and backup/restoration operations on all three drives were working fine. Recently, we upgraded to Commvault V11 SP36, and after the upgrade, we are unable to use the only third drives for backup/restoration. rest 2 can use it for backup/restoration.Do you have any idea why this issue is occurring?Note: There is no SAN switch or zoning involved; all connections are direct-attached.We request your immediate support on this matter and truly appreciate your efforts. Regards,Mani D

Who can explain to me how the Incr to full backup conversion works. If for example i do a full backup of a VMware cluster under a certain subclient the next backup would be a incremental. If however i create a new subclient (under the same backupset) will the next incremental backup remain a Incremental or will it now become a Full ? Also if i took a full without any other scheduled backups to follow how long will that Full come into play for if i then added a incremental. I presume it would remain for the retention policy but i’m not certain. Thanks for any advice

Hi,when i try to backup my Teams i get this error.Only 5 items. When i check my license it’s ok.Only Active Directory we are at 102 %.What causes this error and how can i resolve it?Because this are TEAMS “groups” and no users…...RegardsDEnnis

Would you please add the description field in Command center Virtualization / Hypervisors/ vCenter / subclient ?I would like to track what VM’s I add and remove in Commvault without using the java console.

As per the title, I am interested in understanding what triggers the automatic inclusion of the Storage Accelerator package during the software installation process, and whether or not there is a way to disable it?The following lines are pulled from Install.log, which show that the Storage Accelerator package is listed as a “required package”.Showing dialog : FeatureSelectionViewModel .......Already installed packages: [File System Core].Packages selected by user/input request: [MSSQL agent, File System].Required packages included by the installer: [Storage Accelerator]. 

We are currenty migrating our environment to plans and I wanted to make it easier to assign all our workloads to plans with the above mentioned app.I did import the app successful and the report is working fine until i hit the “associate plan” button which does nothing.No error, no progress indicator or anything else.I tried it with different groups, agent types and plans but nothing seems to work even after waiting for some time.So I was wondering: Are there any prerequisites for this app to work or is it not compatible with 11.36?

Scenario: We have been “pulling tapes” for years (literally opening the tape library and physically removing tapes, usually 60-80 at a time), Usually when they are full but not always 100% full.  It was brought into question if doing this is going to have any consequences in (or to) CommVault as using “Export” for each tape appears to be the proper process.  It appears “Export” on a tape triggers CommVault... to do some internal cleanup/workflow? and then it moves the tape to an export bay in the tape library for manual pickup.  Note: Currently we do not re-use tapes, but soon we may be reusing them after their retention policy is met.Questions:Does manually pulling tapes out and not “exporting” them cause any issues in Commvault we may want to avoid? Is there something we may want to “do” for all the years of tapes we have not exported them? Hi,I want to add to all Commvault servers (Commserves, media agents etc) dedicated second interface and VLAN to have managament network (ssh, RDP, webconsole and java console) with identity access. Then restrict default interface to allow only backup traffic.Do I need to do anything on Commvault level in this case? I’m not sure if login to java console / web console to Commserve will work on the second IP / hostname out of the box (because login to actual hostname will be blocked).

Hello Community, Let’s say we created an Azure Storage Account with the default "Hot" access tier. What happens if, for this specific Storage Account, we configure it as "Cool" from the Commvault side?  Does the Commvault selection ("Cool") override the Azure setting ("Hot")? Please for your feedback.Best regards,Nikos

Hi All, During backup with the file system agent, even though the jobs are in the completed status, Commvault reports many Failed Folders and Failed Files. The Optimized scan option is currently selected.Interestingly, the logs show that Commvault is trying to access locations that no longer exist physically. After changing to Journal, there were no such problems (there were no failed folders and failed files).After returning to Optimized scan, the problem appeared again.This is version 11.32 with new fixes. Looking for information about the scanning option in the documentation, I understood that Change Journal is used for the NTFS file system and most often when the Optimized scan option is unavailable, or the metadata database created by Optimized scan is corrupted. File Scan Methods for the Windows File System Agenthttps://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/file_scan_methods_for_windows_file_system_agent.html Subclient Properties (Advanced Options)https://documentation.commvau

We have a customer running 11.32.89 that are protecting VMWare thin-provisioned VMs. We do primary backups with Pure snapshots. The customer informed us that they have Windows Data Deduplication (WDD) running in the VM. I am seeing older articles online around using thin provisioning and WDD that indicates larger consumption of disk because of WDD cleanup behavior. WDD doesn’t dynamically clean up; it cleans once a week. With that behavior, the thin provision VM keeps growing until the clean up happens. During the backups, we're getting horrible dedupe rates in some servers (10%). Along with that behavior, we are seeing Data Analytics (Indexing) of the VM contents taking longer than 24hrs. Finally, the CVLT provided information seems off - in that we show in the "Data on Media" view that Size on Media is at 6.3TB, but data written says 2.5TB. They're asking what's going on with that.I’m thinking the consumption is due to VM protection in that we protect what the VM size is and not what

Hi,I am wondering if anyone has installed a CommServe with Live Sync on Windows 2025 Core servers ? Theses servers will also need Command Center so all the extras for that will need to be installed on the Windows Core server.  Thanks
