Backup Metallic Office 365 - No service account(s) found for public folder processing

Buongiorno a tutti, attraverso il modulo "Office 365" sto facendo il backup a delle caselle postali che funziona regolarmente.L'unica cosa è che i lavori risultano "completi con errori" con il seguente messaggio: "No service account(s) found for public folder processing. Changing the Hostname for an existing Network Gateway configuration

Hello Commvault Community,  If the environment is already configured with Network Gateway (and it works) and I want to change the Hostname of the intermediary module itself (Proxy/Network Gateway), should I do it somehow differently than changing the Hostname for other components in the environment? Changing the Host Name of a Client Computerhttps://documentation.commvault.com/2024/expert/changing_host_name_of_client_computer.html I'm asking because I performed this procedure and on the Network Gateway module itself, the Hostname was changed, but on every Client that is indicated to communicate with the Commvault Infrastructure through this Network Gateway module, it wasn’t changed and the IP address is still displayed, even though it was changed to the FQDN address. Additionally, I performed "Push Network Configuration" operations on each group that belongs to this Network Topology configuration. The change in the laptop properties in the "CommServe Hostname" field indicates the IP ad

VM Backups are running even VM was in Powered Off State

Hi All, We have many clients that are backing up even in powered off state. As per my knowledge, snapshot should be placed in the datastore and creation of snapshot consider the ESXi host rather than VM (please correct me if I'm wrong).To avoid such scenarios, I found that we have prepared and post process scripts which can be made outside of commvault.Can someone help me on below questionsWhere I can find these scripts?How these scripts works?Do I need to place these scripts in every VSA? Thanks in advance!!

Reset secret key not sending new qr to end user

Unusual job activity alerts after upgrading to 11.34.20

The evening of Friday April 6, I upgraded my CommVault installation from 11.32.38 to 11.34.20. Following the upgrade (which required reboots of almost all the client computers), the Friday evening backups seems to be running normally.  When I returned to work on Monday morning I have roughly 300 Alert emails regarding “unusual job activity” on various servers.  Weirdly, some of the alerts say zero files have been changed:Anomaly NotificationAn unusual job activity was detected in Job [751258], type [Root Size Change]. Details: Unusual number of file operations in client [INF-SQLP104] - created files: [0], deleted files: [0], modified files: [0], root size change of [0.00] GBDoes anyone know what the problem is and how to stop all this spam? Is there a way to turn off these notifications?ThanksKen

i have file server where i am taking full vsa backup (included all drives)and for the same server am taking file system agent backup only for some drives ,does it consume double space from my storage ? will the deduplication work well with two type of backup

failed to discover content for Onedrive / exchange / Sharepoint on metallic

Hello,When I try to add content to the various O365 applications on metallic, I get a discover task launched but it doesn't execute.I click on refresh cache, it goes to "in progress" then if I refresh it goes back to "not started". I get the same error for all applications. This isn't the first time I've configured apps on metallic, and it worked fine a few weeks ago.*has anyone ever had this problem?Kind regards Max

FS Agent taking to long

Hello, I have some issue with finishing on time with FS Agent backup, the widow time is 6 hours. Till 2 weeks ago i had no probleem with scanning and then starting backup., but now the scan taking to long and then starting of backup taking to long aswell.  Here is some logs of last failed backup. The backup staerting at 2AM, the scan finished at 5AM, there is 3 hour more to take the backup and 8 am the job wil be killed because of run time.  The amount of files is not really changed

Redirection backup traffic for specific Server ?

Dear Community,In a organization with 1GB network cross infrastructure, Im looking a way to redirect a backup traffic from a Client Server with 10GB lan → a Commvault MediaAgent also with 10GB LAN.This client has a huge Database and in order to proceed with backup, a 10GB interface network!Please for your recommendation / workaround in order to redirect the 10GB interface between the specific client ↔ MediaAgent,  which also has 1GB network (for the other backup jobs)!How can we ensure that database backups are routed through a specific 10GB network, considering that the communication between the ComCell and the client currently occurs over a separate 1GB network? Is it possible to prioritize backup traffic to utilize the higher bandwidth network effectively? Best regards,Nikos

How to interpret the BackendStorage-QScript/stored procedure or is there a better way to get the used space per client

Hi community,we are migrating from another solution to Commvault’s backup solution.Currently we are billing our customers per client and per used backup disk space. It would be great if we could handle the billing the same way as before.We are now looking for the best way the get the used disk space per client. Ideally directly with a SQL query. In another thread someone recommended the QS_BackendStorage stored procedure. While this looks like a good solution, we are not sure how to interpret the values. In our understanding the column ‘Backend Size (GB)’ contains the actual used disk space on the media agents per client. So adding up all those values should be equal to the used disk space on the volume.In our testing system currently 14.3TB of the disk space is used (by just checking the disk usage on the media agent - we currently only have one), while the sum of all values in the column ‘Backend Size (GB)’ of the stored procedure is about 100TB.So maybe someone can explain how those

Connect to CommServe Server Behind a Firewall During HSX Setup

Hi Team, please help with below query,our commserv server management interface and HSX RA nodes DP interface are in different VLAN and there is firewall in between.we have commserv server management interface in VLAN 10 and data interface in Vlan 20. I have created a disk library in our dev environment which is using it’s own separate volume. it will be used for ddb backups. If I want to increase the capacity do I have to add a new volume or can I just resize the underlying volume in linux ?

1-Touch Backup on Linux fails executing "srprefind.exe"

Description: Failed to start phase [System Scan] on [itop-prod] due to network error [Remote system [………..*………...*8400*8402]. Pre/Post Script definition

Hi Team, I saved it as "Save as Script" and Synchronous for 2 separate Windows subclient via Commvault.Let's call them 1.bat and 2.bat.I also created a main.bat and made its content as follows.call 1.batcall 2.batI added Main.bat to the Pre Scan phase in another Windows subclient from the Commvault Console as "C:\CVScript\main.bat".Our expectation was this: main.bat will be triggered by Commvault and first the 1st bat will run, the backup will be completed and then the 2nd bat will run and the backup will be completed. After this, the Pre Scan phase will be completed.Currently, the Pre Scan phase is running, main.bat is running and is completed in 3 seconds, but the 1st and 2nd bats in its content cannot be run. It actually needs to run for about 9 hours.When I manually trigger Main.bat, it works as expected.Does anyone have an idea ?

Mounting XFS file system on Linux MediaAgent

I’ve run into a problem trying to mount a 54.4TB FC LUN presented to a Linux MediaAgent. A single partition was created using the ‘parted’ utility, and then an XFS file system with a block size of 64k was created using the ‘mkfs.xfs’ command. I'm receiving the following message when trying the mounting xfs filesystem.mount: /mnt/cvstorage: mount (2) system call failed: Function not implementedAny help would be appreciated.
