I had a virtual server that Commvault has been backing up for awhile now disappear.  Is there any way to track down how this happened or who would have done it?  I have run the Deleted Virtual Machines report and it doesn’t show up on the list.  

Hello,This question is specifically aimed at the 1-Touch recovery process for an IBM i client, but may be applicable to other client types.The save of the system portion (SAVSYS) will create up to nine [4.27GB] ISO image files that are then individually ‘burned’ to DVDs for use by the 1-Touch Recovery process. The first ISO image file [DVD] will be used for the initial boot of a system, with the remainder of the ISO image files used for the install of the base operating system and other objects that will get the system to the stage where it can communicate with CommVault to complete the restore of the entire system.With this many ISO image files it is quite cumbersome and time consuming having to burn nine ISO images to DVD. Likewise using this many DVDs for a recovery is a slow process.IBM Power9 servers have a USB3 port that can be switched and allocated to an individual IBM i LPAR as a virtual optical device, allowing a USB flash drive to be used as a boot device. Hi Guys, Our DNS servers are migrating from On prem to Azure and there will a change of IP and Hostname for the DNS servers. Our Commserve is linked to on prem DNS server. DO we need to make any changes in Commvault application level once we move to new DNS server or only changes would be required at OS end ? Thanks.Pank1988

Hi All, I require to configure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage cloud library. Request you to please share and veido or step by step with screenshot how to configure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage as cloud library in Commvault. 

When you add audit’s to a client it does not show up in the audit trail report. Are there plans to fix this? It seems like missing functionality.

Hi, I have recycle the tape backup by setting the retention days. but after i use Erase Spare Media Option, i though the Storage Policy wont get removed but it does. any other way to make the tape not available for other Tape backup storage pool? is there any way to assign the tape to only that particular storage pool? kindly advise. Hello,sometimes after vm reboot CommVault services do not come up even those are set to auto-start services when os starts,if such scenario happens for any of client how we can create work flow to check CommVault services on SQL server VM's  as we do run it manually on CommVault process manager and get email alert if not running or try to start twice and get email alert. 

Hi, Is there a simple way to browse/recover mailbox items from a specific incremental backup (exchange DB classic)?I do not think so, could not find anything,  but my customer is facing the issue that he needs to browse multiple pages (>100) searching for a specific item.There are advanced plan to migrate, but this does not solve the challenge the facing right now. Thanks,Danny

Hello,We are running Commvault 11.28.32 / 2022E.I would need some help with cvCertTool (cvCertTool.cmd) utility, I have generated a wrong CSR and I would like to delete it and create a new one.Is there a way to do that “properly” ?Do I have to enable the force-actions=true parameter in the properties file ?Or do I have to create a new workspace, and then generate a new keypair, and CSR ?Thank you in advance.Regards

How do I schedule a backup job for say 10pm manually if I want to run a backup on something for a 1 time deal? I can’t seem to find how to do that. I want to run a manual Full but I don’t want it to start until 6pm.

Hi, in FR 11.20 for example I was able to modify Associations in Storage Policy Copies.In FR 11.28 I notice, that this tab is grayed out. Can I reenable this old behavior? What will happen when I Update from SP20 to FR28 with the configured settings?br Christian

Does stopping the IIS service not affect the backup? It's been pointed out as a security vulnerabilityor can i change this page? 

Hi All,We are running PostgreSQL log backups every 15 minutes, daily incrementals and weekly synthetic fulls. The backups are FSBased.The synthetic fulls take about four hours. The log backups are in the waiting state until the full backup finishes.The customer points out that the 15 min RPO objective is not fulfilled during the 4-hour full backup runtime.Is there any option to backup the logs during the synthetic full backup?Thank you,Lubos
