Hi,We have a power outage for about 2 hours, and after that everything is backed up. However, we don’t receive the Two-Factor Authentication Email anymore. Has anybody this problem before? And where do you check for the problem? Thank you.

Hello Community, I am facing problems at restores incl. “unconditional overwrite” option into NS Default. Even a Inplace restore back into the Default NS as well as an out-of-Place restore into Default NS. Every other destination is working for restores. Do anyone know restrictions or is aware about this?I have problems restoring including the “Unconditional Overwrite” option to NS Default. Both an in-place restore back to the Default NS and an out-of-place restore to the Default NS. Every other destination is working for restores. Does anyone know or are aware of any limitations?

we have added hyperscale x to existing MA zone group but while trying to detect device using hyperscale x MA not able to discover it ,  is there anyway can we check from linux side to see if we can see the drives and tapes like we can do in windows

Hey there everyone!Does anyone have suggestions on how to go about working around an ISP issue where the 5th or 6th hop out to the internet (from the datacenter) is dropping packets and causing the backup to cloud storage to fail?We’ve tried adjusting chunk size and retry intervals, but it still seems to be hard to get the data through before the entire job fails.Any help would be appreciated. The amount of backup data would be around 4TB for a full. Thanks!

Hi all, We have 2 Datacenters with 1 Media agent on each, they have the exact same configuration but on one the VSS services (SW & HW) are running and on the other one they are stopped.Services are in manual startup so my question is when are those services started? what is the default behavior? Stopped and started when needed? I know this topic has already been discussed but those specific questions weren’t answered. Thx in advance for you answers.

We have configured the replication between VMware to Hyper-V. Source VM is hosted in VMware and the destination will the the Hyper-V host  which is hosted in Azure (Nested Hyper-V).  the replication between the source and the destination working fine. Initiated the planned failover job and VM was booted and was running in Hyper-V manager but status was not reflecting in Commvault and planned failover job was failed at ‘POWER ON’ phase after waiting for 20 mints.Error code: [72:167] Description: Operation [REVERT_SNAPSHOT] failed with error [Failed to perform operation: Revert to Snap] for client [].We are unable to find the exact issue and Here attaching the logs. Could you please help me to fix this. 

we have implemented hsx and created aux copy to current storage policies and copied all the data , now we also have other aux copies for the same storage policy to tape,  all the jobs is copied to HSX copy, but tape aux jobs are running , i have disabled the schedule and waiting for the jobs to finish,  can i change the primary copy to hsx once the aux copy is finished, please note that they are qualified aux jobs for tapes copy with status to be copied , will this be copied from primary hsx after cutover,  what is the recommended way , do i need to change the tape aux copy source copy to primary hsx ? 

Hello ,I need to create a schedule to data verification to copy that go to tape library ,I saw this option in the commcell console,I see option of all picked jobs in the advanced option of the data verification of the storage policy but I don’t see option of all the jobs that automatically go to the tape.I can do ctrl A and select all the jobs is the storage policy copy and checkbox pick for verification   thank you very much! 

Hey, we've got HyperScale X with 9 nodes running RHEL 7.9.We recently added another node running Rocky Linux 8.9, and they're all on version 11.32.54.Each node successfully rebalanced.Backup and restore operations work fine on the new Rocky Linux node.Issue:When I ran the command /usr/local/hedvig/scripts/showmembers.exp on the existing redhat node, I noticed that all the Red Hat Linux nodes have two entries for ports 7000 and 7010, but the Rocky Linux node only has one entry and is missing port 7000. when run command /usr/local/hedvig/scripts/showmembers.exp on the New rocky linux node, it give an error “operation time out”netstat show there is no service running on port 7000 what port 7000 is used for and how to enable it on the Rocky Linux node.thanks  

We are running Commvault v11.32.43.Some of our VMs have the File System Agent in addition to the VSA backup and we want to delete the FS agent from those VMs.After we perform release liscence and delete to the FileSystem Agent via the CommCell Console, the VM still shows even though we have the ‘Display Virtual Machines’ checkbox un-ticked. (The VM shows it has only VSA agent via the CommCell Console)

Yesterday we added a new client to our commcell.  We had originally purchased 20 Virtual Operating Instances.  So with the addition of yesterdays client we are now at 100 %.  We have used all 20 of 20 licenses purchased.My question is why do I see this message in the events:System has reached within 100 percent limit of [Virtual Operating Instances] usage. System may start to disable options soon. So yes I understand we are at 100% and have no plans of adding another client unless of course we release a license on a current client.  But what does it mean SYSTEM MAY START to DISABLE OPTIONS soon??? now sure I understand why it states this. SNIP: Please adviseThanksBC

Hello Commvault engineers !I have multiple Plans with different retentions created.We are using a monitoring tool that catches snmp trap sent by the Commserve and generates a ticket on Snow when a backup failed.Into this plan, sometimes we have some clients that are stopped by users and during a backup, they generate an error “Backup failed client offline”I am looking for a solution to avoid that offline clients generate an error.Thanks for your help  

I had to run the Forecast report on a storage policy to try and figure out why some old jobs are not being aged. I am used to see the jobs give a reason in the “reason for not aging column”.However many jobs in this case do not have a reason.First thought was that maybe the job is required by another job, but the job ID in “required by jobs” is the same job.What could be the reason?

What happened to Data in the storage after reaching retain date in Commvault? Does this get delete from storage and free up the space that took on day 1?for example have a job retention policy set 30 days. Every day data written to the storage 1 BG.When this reach to 31 day will that 1 BG data got free up from storage and next daily backup job write data on this space on day 31st? How can I check from Commvault how much data will free up when it will reached to retention date?

We need to conduct the POC for this scenario, need input / suggestion's.The costumer want to setup a DR replication using Commvault auto recovery option. The primary site is using vmware and the DR is hosted in azure cloud. Here have been some challenges with the existing setup few of the serves were running with legacy OS like Win2003 and Oracle RHEL. As we aware win2003 is not supported on Azure platform and the costumer is not ready to upgrade to latest OS.  In this case is there any alternative option we can use to replicated the on prem workloads to Azure. I would appreciate for your suggestions. Thanks

Hope to find you in a good shape!In our environment, we are struggling with a problem of NDMP backups on NetApp devices.*It was working just fine before, then just started to act like described below. We do have a couple of subclients/paths configured, and they are randomly failing. No matter if it is Full or Incremental backup, no matter the which backup in a row. Sometimes same subclient might complete few backup in a row, but another one fails. There is no patter, random subclients with a random data amount. We cant find any pattern here.That is basically the error message:"Error Code: [39:501] Description: Client [XXXXXX] was unable to connect to the tape server [XXXXXXX] on IP(s) [10.100.XXX.XX, 10.100….., 10.100….., 10.100….., 169.254…..] port [50666]. Please check the network connectivity. Hello,Recently, our customer started to successively remove old .NET libraries from the commvault server. After each library was removed, the operation of the CommVault mail archive was tested. In the end, from the group of .NET Core libraries, the .NET Core 2.1.5 library failed to reinstall. After replacing it with another, newer version, the mail archive stops working.The .NET Core versions tested were 3.1.19, 6.0.1, 6.0.16, 6.0.31.Is there any way to replace the .NET Core 2.1.5 library with another current version? Regards,Michał

Hello community,11.33.45Trying to configure the Oracle RAC Client for Unified Data Guard and reaching the point of setting up streams.The documentation states: "The archivelog subclient for the primary site should have streams configured only for the primary nodes; the streams for the remaining nodes should be set to 0. For the standby site, configure streams for the standby nodes only and set the remaining node streams to 0 in that standby archivelog subclient. " Question:Should this configuration be done at the RAC subclient level or at the physical node level? :If configured at the RAC subclient level, streams will be set to a value for primary nodes and 0 for remaining nodes. However, after failover, when the standby site takes over backup, since its stream is set to zero, the backup won't run... If streams are set at the physical node level, can the primary node see the standby node?
