Hello,I am in the process of migrating to a new disk library. For all the Storage Policies I have created new corresponding copies for each site.The current Primary (1) and Synchronous (2) copies have a 30 day basic and 90 day full weekly retention configured.I now created 2 new copies but since I am writing to WORM storage I have configured the retention for both the new copies with 90 day basic retention. My issue is that not all the jobs are being copied. Only the first 4.The rest of the jobs have a status of “To be Copied & Disabled”. What does this mean?How can I get them automatically copied?Should I select the option “Pick for Copy” on all the required jobs? Thanks.Ignes  

Hello, TeamI have a environment where there are 3 sites; 1, 2 and 3. The Media agent in site one runs its jobs very fast while those in 2 and 3 are very slow. The scanning phase sometimes take up 2 1 hour for 200GB of data. The servers are Unix boxes and most of the jobs running are files system. The Media agents are also Unix boxes. Kindly help on how to get what the issue is

Hello,We run SQL server on VM’s on hyper-v.  Testing restore of master database to SQL instance; there doesn’t appear to be a way to do this through the web console, but the documentation states that this procedure would work for what we need:  Can anyone confirm restoring system databases requires the java console?  If not, can you point me in the right direction on the web gui?  I’m unable to find any advanced restore options alluded to above. Thank you - Chris

Hi Team, we have three hyper-scale appliance and same appliances connected with metallic cloud. Hi,We use Commvault version 11.28.44. In BOL it states: “ An Azure storage account is no longer required for SharePoint agent restores.” (https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/18078_configuring_sharepoint_agent_for_office_365_01.html). However, when performing a restore, Commvault still asks for storage account details and I can’t submit the restore request. Am I something missing here?Thank you.

Hello All,The user is upgrading NetApp ONTAP from 9.7P9 to 9.9.1P16 on Saturday and needs clarification if this version is supported by Commvault V11 SP16.HPK192. It is true that 9.9.1P16 it is not listed as supported in the Commvault documentation (https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11_sp16/article?p=33744.htm).In view of the document being last updated a few years ago, could you please confirm if we extend support for the above-mentioned version. (Note: User is on NetApp ONTAP 9.7P9 which is also not listed in the documentation). Grateful for any help!

Does Commvault support tailing log backup?We have a customer who need that for one database I can’t find any options in Commvault for that.Do you have to run a script?

Hello,I’ve tried to restore files from NDMP to File System agent and I’ve get this error from the nasRestore.log of the Media Agent: 3249947 319739 01/18 11:01:36 1369119 kickOffRemoteServer() - Unable to start remote data server process on host [host xxx*host xxx*8400*8402]. Connection error [18446744071562527494=+]3249947 319739 01/18 11:01:36 1369119 NasRestore::OnMsgCloseArchive() - Failed to start CVNRDS process on host [host xxx]. When searching into the client, I didn’t find the CVNRDS executable and process active on the server. I’m sure this process is not part of the FS agent or something is missing from our configuration here.I’ve looked into Commvault documentation and didn’t see any information. Do you have any idea how I can solve this issue? Thank you in advance,Best regards,

Hi Team,Our M365 Backup environment is in AWS.Access Node + Media Agent and index server are built in DMZ account in AWSand our S3 Bucket are in Share services account in AWS.When backup runs it casues egress charges for moving data from DMZ to shared service account.To mitigate this egress changes we are thinking to move the Access Node + MA and Index server from DMZ account to Share services account in AWS.Rquest you to please help me how we should perfom this migration activity from Commvault end. Regards Rahul Raina 

Hello,  I have a problem with commvault not been able to delete file on client after archiving job, in subclient properties i did set “Delete the files” after Archiving. When i manually start the job the file gets backup but it stays in folder on client. everything i could find is the event code 19:2325  (NumberOfFilesProcessed = [0], NumberOfFilesArchived = [0], NumberOfFilesSkippedForRedundancyCheck = [0]. TotalNumberOfFilesSkipped[0].) Can anyone help me with this problem? 

Hi together,currently we are trying to move operation from Commcell Console to Command Center.In the case of a SQL-Server restore we discovered that it is not possible to restore the SQL system databases (model/master/msdb) with the Command Center.In the Commvault Console we have the “Include System Databases” tick-box in the advanced restore options … but there are no advanced restore options in the Command Center.There is an additional setting named “bEnableAdvancedRestoreOptionsMSSql” … but this seems to serve a different purpose.Do I miss something?Thank you.Regards.Michael

Hi Team,I am getting below error when try to configure the linux fs backup:Error Code: [68:574]Description: Required media version [11.28] with transaction Id [4489590] is missing in the Software Cache. CommServe may be installed with a lower version media. Please check the media in Software Cache and try updating the CommServe before updating clients.I don’t see a software cache or folder anywhere? TBH I don’t know what the error message wants to exactly convey so I can look for the requirement.

Hi All,Hope All Are are doing well !! I have configured a Azure file share backup from GUI with storage account (file.core.windows.net)and access key , configuration is successful and we are able to see the all folder from storage account from the content  but issue here is we are unable to see the files from the folder, those file share protocol is NFS and the cloud apps package is installed on MA which acts as a access node for the Azure File share backup when i run the backup it fails with no content to backup. but file are available from the folder. i have run an cloud test tool from the client were file share is mounted it shows below error. Hi All,My oracle DB Size is 40TB and scheduled as:Full: Sunday -4PMInc: Daily -4PM1) Now, I am facing an issue for run full backup because is take more 24Hours to complete the job.     -What impact on DB or machine itself if Full Job overlap with Incremental ?     -Its is ok for both job ( Full and Incremental) run overlap ?2) Now, full backup already take 25 hrs for complete the job, what estimation time for restore job         complete? Any rule or formula to calculate time?Hope any suggestion from experience person.

Hello Team,Our environment we are using two Commserve active/standby with livesync feature. The commserve using DNS floating option for common name.The clients are showing Commserve or Gateway hostname is active node instead of common Commserve name.While performing failover to another commserve will get another active host name.Is it will change manually in all the clients or any options to modify. Please advise. 

Customer is trying to do cleanup and is looking for a report that will identify all clients in a Commcell that have no backup history so they can delete them.  Anyone know of such a report that already does this?

Sysadmin is running Commvault SQL Agent backups, DBA is running SQL Native Copy-only backups.Will this cause LSN issues?
