Hello,I am attempting to perform an in-place upgrade of my CommServe in a dark site environment, which includes upgrading the SQL.I am facing a critical loop, and standard procedures have failed. Problem 1: Pre-Upgrade Validation Failure When I run the Setup.exe from my downloaded installation package, the Pre-Upgrade Validation check fails with this error:Automatic upgrade of the existing SQL Server instance is allowed but SQL Standard media is not available in the source media.Context: I downloaded the full installation package from the Commvault Cloud Services portal onto an internet-facing machine. Has anyone use MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) software to deploy or update Commvault software in the entire Commcell environment?  We are currently exploring this option but I dont have much information to begin exploring. Also I am not sure if this will even work or is supported by Commvault Any advice or suggestion is highly appreciated

Hi, We have setup a third isolated copy on CloudLib. On this copy we are also enabling Commvault Compliance Lock. We have Oracle backups running to our Primary Copies where we have RMAN managing the retention. As per the documented instructions we have the CV retention set to Infinite on out Oracle Plan and this works perfect as we can see the jobs aging off per the RMAN retention. The question/concern is what happens on the third copy if we set the retention to Infinite and enable Compliance Lock? We cannot risk locking the data with Infinit retention for obvious reasons.Anyone out there that have experience of this? What is best practice? Regards,Patrik 

Hi friends,Good day! I got this situation, there was data disk failure happened and new disk was not yet replaced, but a DDB verification job got started, it reported completed with error due to some block can’t be read, but the DDB verification succeeded the nex day, but the new disk not yet replaced too. why this happened? does this mean that hyperscale reconstruct the data blocks on the failed disk to the rest good disks? I thought it should like RAID when a data block on a missed drive can be calculated out by EC code  from the rest drives when access request come?Thanks,Leo

Hi All, we are actually fighting with the deployment of the Nutanix Image with 11.36 . We downloaded the image from here: Nutanix Image with 11.36 During the deployment we tried to add custom script like frel: CS_IP_OR_FQDN=commserve_host CS_SHORT_NAME=commserve_client_name CS_USERNAME=user_name  CS_PASSWORD=password FREL_CLIENTNAME=client_name ROOT_PASSWORD=Password Without success.  If we rolloutthe image without script we cant login.  In the docu i dont find anything for accessnode only stuff for frel. Do you have an idear for nutanix ahv access node deployment ?  

Hi,Please, could you help me with the following question:Currently our customer is using Commvault’s deduplication feature for every copy (primary, secondary).They want to start using hardware deduplication (from their backup storage appliance).Since secondary copies are written to a secondary site, we were wondering if it is possible to disable deduplication just for the primary copy (which would use HW dedup) and enable it only for the secondary one, in order to avoid high network usage between sites. Thanks in advance!

We have been requested to provide a list of backed up content for an Azure Data Lake Storage instance.  Being a new workload, the intent is to validate the defined content (which uses multiple wildcards) is protecting the required data. Unfortunately, given the number of items associated with the ADLS workload, we don't seem to be able to extract a complete list of backed up items:CommCell Console seemingly can't handle the number of objects (1.2 million) CommCell Console reports are limited to 10000 objects. Command Center doesn't seem to give me an option to export the list. ListFilesForJob.exe doesn't seem to work at all. Are there any other simple options in 11.40.x?

Hi all. I have a question regarding PostgreSQL.We have a PostgresSQL server with very little activity. We do a daily backup of the server with the option set to make a “Archive Delete” of the logs. Some times it happens that no new WAL files have been created, so the backup job goes to pending with the below error message: Error Code: [94:66]Description: PostgreSQL     Database: The Data backup has failed. Archive Log files are missing     preventing this job from completing on Instance     [~xxxxx_5434~] Client     [~xxxxxx~]. Please run a FULL backup.Source:xxxxxx, Process: PostGresLogBackupParent What can be done so I do not get a pending/failed job and so I do not need to run a full backup? I attempted the assessment twice: In my first attempt i selected the option that says Threat Scan can be scheduled as David noted that was marked incorrect (see screenshot below).   In my second attempt i selected the option without scheduling as I mentioned earliere for ​@Nikos.Kyrm  which was marked correct — as supported by both the course material and documentation (screenshots attached).

Hey , I am trying to create a workflow using alerts for failed jobs to trigger backups via workflow feature .though it allows me to pass different values for client names like VIRTUAL MACHINE CLIENT NAME - which I intend to BUT workflow>backup never accepts anything except “Client name” that eventually triggers the backup for whole client computer name including all 20-30 VM`s in that group which is not desired. any leads will be much appreciated.RegardsJimmy 

Hello, I am using live sync with a commserve production on site1 and commserve dr on site 2 The commserve DR is performed on a nas share. For now, only a test failover have peen performed.We want to perform a production failover soon.when we will initiate a production failover,  what about the new commserve DR jobs ? They will be written to the nas share right ? There will be no conflict about existing dr folder SET XXX ?And What about the failback ? thanks
