Literally - So did I miss some release notes that editing reports is no longer a thing? I have more than one CommCell doing this and I only noticed it when our backup summary reports suddently turned to “garbage” with essentially no content.11.40.34thanksI see I am late to the discussion in the Report builder thread. Hello Commvault Community,  The ThreatScan mechanism has changed between SP40 and SP42. The old mechanism from SP40 is currently deprecated and renamed as Threat Analysis. Hi all,I want to use Active Directory as my identity provider… A security group was created in AD and added to the Commcell. However, users in the Active Directory group cannot log on to the Command Center. Hello everybody,I am posting here because the help from Commvault so far on this subject has been poor. We are ESM customers so pay extra for support, but my account has so far not been able to give me the answers that I need. About 4 years ago we had an HSX cluster installed into our environment. This was part of a global deployment, so I assuming that the install was carried out by a Commvault professional that would have performed all the necessary tests before installing the OS, like checking that the OS disks were mirrored. Nobody from Commvault has been able to confirm who did the installation. The install does not appear to have done correctly, and what I have here are three HPE DL380 Gen10 12LFF nodes with the OS installed on a Linux LVM volume that spans across two 480GB SSDs. I am new on linux commserv, i was experience on windows commserv and want to know  on windows we did manually commserv installation like extracting the package and extracting the setup file for upgrade the 1st instance and one is done then upgrade the 2nd instance. Can we do the same with linux based commserv.

I seem to be missing some logic in the workflow for approvers. If the default approver group is master, but I have an external DL / group of users who I want to approve changes, how can I get it to trigger the email to that DL?Meaning - I don’t just want the master group to be notified of something needing approval, but both master and the external group’s notified at the same time (so either another master OR one of the external DL members can)?I initially tried setting the default approver to the DL but no email comes out (yes the DL has a working email for it). The approvers in that DL don’t do anything in Commvault, they are simply authorized to approve.thanks

CVMongoRecoveryAssistant cannot launch due to missing CVMongoRecoveryAssistant.dll fileI would like to solicit some advice as this has happened to me twice already.  I have been wanting to test the recovery tool for MongoDB use by Commvault.  For some reason everytime I run it, it complains about a missing CVMongoRecoveryAssistant.dll file.  I look into it in the base folder and the file is missing. This results in the tool not being able to launch. I tried to lab the Commvault using a different media and I have the same result. The DLL file is missing.Is this a known issue?  Any advice is appreciated

NetApp is currently selling the successor to the ASA (SAN Only), the ASAr2, at an attractive price. Basically, it is a system from the ONTAP family, like the FAS or AFF systems. Unfortunately, the API has changed considerably, and Commvault does not yet support the ASAr2 API. I’ve heard that integration is being worked on. Is there a timeline for this?We have a few projects where Commvault (new customer) and NetApp would be a good combination.

Hello,By mistake I performed a recall  on a tape media that was already exported, we plan to take it offsite  but still in the library.The icon is changed  If I try to export it again I have this message.How to get back to Exported media state before taking the tape offsite.I just want to get back to the previous state.  Thanks ! 

 I am having an issue with a Live Sync setup I created for a customer.The installations on both the production CommServe and the standby CommServe completed successfully. However, after enabling Live Sync, nothing happened.When I checked the Failover Process Manager, I could see the production server with a green status indicator, but the standby server did not have one.I also noticed that the CommServeDR policy does not have any SQL subclient associated with it. The only thing I can see is instance001 from the production CommServe.Later, I realized that the entire configuration was done without TCP ports 8405 and 8408 being open between the two CommServe servers.My question is:Is it possible to revert or completely delete this Live Sync configuration and recr

I’m busy with a new installation and getting an issue where the installer gets stuck on the below screenshot. The error in the install log is also listed.I’ve checked the status of the VSS writers and they’re all healthy. The Windows Event log isn’t showing up any errors warnings either.I suspect this might be a permission issue, but I am a local administrator on the server 

Hey all,We had two media agents on site A and site B. Site A’s media agent died and was replaced by the media agent from site B. Site B was consolidated. I have a Storage Policy GDP_xx that points to the dead media agent.I tried to replace the  MediaAgent in the Data Paths of the Properties windows, on the primary copy of the policy (the only copy, there is no other copy) We have a Dedup DB reconstruction job for this policy GDP_xx.How to stop this auto job from running? How can I disable the Storage policy?

We’re currently in the process of doing a major upgrade of our Commvault setup - both software version and hardware, and are looking at ways to improve things. None of us are seasoned Commvault admins - I did a course before starting a couple of years ago, only to find that much was irrelevant as the course focused on the webGUI and Plans, while the existing setup turned out to be “old style”. I’ve also had a lot of other stuff on my plate, so there has been little time to do much self study...So we’re taking this opportunity to build the setup from scratch. One of the areas we want to improve is protection against malicious or accidental deletion. The old setup does create aux copies to an offsite disk library, but as both primary and secondary libraries are permanently mounted via iSCSI it would be trivial to obliterate everything… an “interesting” fact here is that the previous incarnation of the setup used NetApp for storage, and SnapMirror to create offsite replicas - so

Hello, Commvault archiving doesn't stub files with error Action:[StubbingSkipped], Reason: [File has Extended Attributes]. Files have Extended Attribute $KERNEL.PURGE.CSOOA0000 set by Crowdstrike.Is it possible to force Commvault to stub such files? Maybe using some exclusions? 

Since a few months we have the problem that the archiving function does not work anymore. Files that were previously stubbed without any problems are suddenly no longer stubbed. Also files that had a recall are not stubbed again. In the logs it says "Reason: [Skipping as file has recall on data access or open attribute ON]". Files are for example jpg and bak. We are already in contact with the support but they don't get any further.
