Hi,Is VMWare Live Recovery supported from a NetApp SnapMirror/Vault destination that has SnapLock enabled.That is, is it possible to point the Live Recovery source copy to a SnapMirror/Vault copy?I am assuming that it “should” be possible as the data is presented via the MA back to the ESX host, and am looking for confirmation of this.CheersJon 

Hey all,Why would a random end user in AD show up as an associated user on a laptop that they have never logged into?The only backup data in that users profile is an Office Document Template.  This user was also only added after the laptop was upgraded to windows 11.Does anyone have any idea why?TIA,J

We have several branch offices which mostly have only one server for different purposes.These servers are also used as media agents with standalone tape drives.Some of these servers have USB-sticks installed which are needed for licensing purposes.Unfortunately this seems to have an impact on the way Commvault detects the access path of the tape drive.For example the tape drive is usually accessible on \\.\Tape0.When a USB-stick is installed its access path gets detected for the tape drive e.g. \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE2.From the SCSI Scan it seems like the USB-stick is (virtually?) assigned to the same SCSI id as the tape. I tried configuring the drive without the USB installed, but after the next SCSI Scan occurs, it causes the access path to change again. Is there a way to correct this behaviour or stop new SCSI scans after the initial configuration?

Does these physical HP UX servers FS level backups are still supported in Commvault?RX7620 , HP-UX Ver11v2RX1620 , HP-UX Ver11v2As we know HPUX 11.2 is EOSL. As i checked in documentation.commvault.com it has its supported but with conditions, not able get full clarity. We have  requirement for data migration from HP DP to Commvault, so in that case, can we use 11.32 or 11.34 to get FS level backups on these machines? 

Hello All,I have migrated media agent to new media agent by using Replace MediaAgent App. Jobs completed succesfully and The new media agent is in Ready status and online. My question is how to move all DataInterfacePair (backup network) to new media agent. 

There is a test VM we created to test the script but it not being fetched while all the other VMs are being fetched the only difference is test VMs are not added in the domain   

Hello World, I’ve recently replaced my media server and noticed my auxiliary copy jobs is getting this error whenever i try running the backup:User specified a data path which is not part of the data paths in the storage policy copy. Advice: Please specify a job data path which is part of the Storage Policy copy. Can see that the new media server has access to the library, but not sure what else to check.

Is there a way, additional setting or something like that, that could limit the number of jobs a backup copy workflow submits at one time? Running IntelliSnap on NetApp and when all of the copies kick off at once things get overloaded. Just wondering if there is a way to limit it. I know you can when you submit it manually, but the automated ones run max number of jobs.

Hi guys, one quick question.NetApp offers the feature to lock Snapshots to prevent deletion of it without the need of an SnapLock Aggregate. The feature is called “Tamperprrof Snapshot”.https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/snaplock/snapshot-lock-concept.html?q=TamperproofIs this feature supportet by Commvault?Could Commvault handle/manage the retention/lock of the snapshots on the ONTAP-level?For primay snap and snapvault copies.If not, what would be the best solution to keep the snapshots safe from deletion → SnapLock? RegardsJulian

I have a PureStorage NAS array. At the moment it’s carrying about 200Tb of video files. By the way if you ever heard that video files do not deduplicate vary well then I can confirm that. Our video is extremely repetitive. It’s camera footage of the same scene over and over. It’s not like a movie or anything like that, it’s more like endless footage of a conveyor belt for hours and hours. So even incredibly boring video images of the same thing does not deduplicate. Our deduplication rate on this PureStore device is basically zero.But that aside, i need to back it up. It’s all NFS exports that our Linux systems access. What is Commvault’s prescribed method for this? Do we dedicate a Linux host to the task and then backup the mount point on the Linux host? Or is there a better way?

Hi,I’ve runned the ComvertDDBTov5 workflow on prim and ext ddb:s on one of our two sites.The workflow has completed both times and all phases in the workflow is completed.Now I get:Error Code: [62:2479]Description: Library [ZZZZ], MediaAgent [xxxx], Drive Pool [DrivePool(xxxx)12], Media[]: Deduplication Database is currently under maintenance. Advice: Please complete the maintenance operation (DDB Resynchronization, Conversion to Transactional DDB, etc.) to bring the Deduplication Database back online.Source: yyyy, Process: JobManager Do the workflow complete but there’re jobs still running in the background?If yes, Where can I see if there’re jobs still running in the background? ( I don’s see any related jobs in the commcell console.)

Hello,I like to backup MSSQL server transaction logs within a server backup plan.  I assume that I need to install an agent for that on the VM hosting the MSSQL server. Thus running this transaction logs backup manually give s me the error: “Failed to start backups as no eligible subclients were found.”.Where can I download this agen?Thanks,Chris

Hello everyone,I have a question about changing the Media Agent where I have configured DiskLib using to this the disk from my array.Now I want to refresh the MA to a new one. Could I for example move DDB, Index to the new MA and then reassign the disk from the old MA to the new MA and it should work fine or is there another way to do it more securely

Is there a way for a user to search and show only the deleted files from a backup?We can use the show deleted items, but haven’t found any way to filter or search it so we only see the deleted ones. The deleted items also holds their original modified time. So cannot use time filter to see either.If there had been an optional column with state deleted/present this would have solved it.This started with a request from a customer that did not know exactly what the files were named or where they were stored.
