Hello,I'm currently working on K8s application-consistent backups through cvtasks. MongoDB is not mentioned in the documentation or on GitHub at AppConsistency/examples.https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/application_consistent_backups_for_kubernetes_using_cvtasks.htmlIs this just a limitation of the CVK8SDiscoverDB.sh script and can a cvtask for a MongoDB be created manually using command, ScriptText or LocalScript or can a MongoDB only be protected app-consistent using a pre/post scripts?Thank you.

which dashboard is available on the command center am i right to say Apps Dashboard or? and can MediaAgent can be located on-premises or in the cloud on physical or virtual machines.

Currently I ma looking to do a restore from one server to another one, but it’s failing due to different SQL server version in the commVault Gui. I’ve confirm the server both have the same SQL version. They are also on the same environment version as commvault ( 11.32.59). I am looking to upgrade Method to the same version as Insurgent .Method SQL server version is showing 14.0.3475.1Insurgent  SQL server version is showing 16.0.4150.1  

I am starting to approach the use of APIs in the Commvault environment.The goal is to extract a customized report created in the Command Center (Custom Report).I have created a script that performs the login in the Command Center, and it works correctly (Script name: Login.py).Next, I created a script that performs the login and then a GET request using the token received from the login (Script name: Get Report.py).The URL for the GET request was taken from the Command Center by selecting REST API from the report.I am attaching the listed scripts. The error I receive is as follows: /Get Report.py" Login successful! Hi alli’m checkin a configuration on node of HSX and i can see that we have an SSD disk (2.9T) not in use, a NVME disk (6T) with ddb and IC and the last one SSD disk (2,9T) for metadataHedvig.It is normal to have a disk not in use ? maybe it could be useful in case of disk fault ?  thanks in advancevincenzo

Hello Commvault Community, I would like to ask you how to change the condition in the license consumption monitoring alert so that it indicates the current consumption according to Command Center. Some time ago I came across the information that the calculation of license consumption in CommCell Console isn’t perfect and we should monitor and suggest the information presented in License Summary Report from CommandCenter (after use Recalculate button).  Today this has been proven and confirmed - in one of the environments running on SP32 version we noticed that for many months in CommCell Console the system didn’t inform about excess use of VOI licenses, after checking this in CommandCenter it turned out that licenses have been used for a long time above 100% license consumption, where in CommCell Console the alerts gave information that the consumption is at 80-90% of available licenses.  It seems that despite many updates to the Commvault environment version, the alerts still refer to

We are having Hyper-V cluster with 2 nodes. we have installed VSA on 2 nodes and configuring the VM backups. Can we and how to use the hyper-v cluster for configuration of the VM backups.

Dear Commvault experts,during the planned DR test scenario our tape library should be a part of the testing DR environment, that is in the completely isolated environment. Therefore, this library will be marked as offline in the existing backup production infrastucture.My questions are: How can we ensure that the temporary test-DR CommServe can only read from the tapes and not write to them? Is it sufficient to disable the Scheduler and Data Aging features? Additionally, is it necessary to configure this tape library on the test-DR CommServe, or is it automatically recognized? Your input will be much appreciated!

Good evening folksWe currently use Commvault to backup our Exchange Online (EXO) environment and I have recently been reviewing Commvault DR options and have become a bit stuck for EXO.The components involved for EXO backups I believe are …-Access Node-Index Server-Web Server The access node and index server I understand why their needed but I am at a bit of a loss as what role the web server plays. If I change the web server under properties of the access node to another web server the restores fail so clearly the websites play a crucial role. I have read the CV documentation but am still no further forward - I can see that there is some sort of search svc installed.Any clarify that can be provided would be much appreciated.

Hello teamHave a question about HSX RA disks for Boot and MetadataFor boot i saw reccomendations Create a RAID1 volume, but for MetaData i didn’t see anything, jus 2 dedicated NVME\SSD disksI’m trying find some info see below for Cache (CVFS/Hedvig) as i understand we use EC 4+2, so for this disk we doesnt need a RAID1 - yes or no?for Logs (Index cache/DDB) can we used RAID for this disks or its just dedicated NVME\SSD?  and one more question whats happening if a metadata disks will go offlain or crushed in one or more nodes? 

Hi, We are adding a HSX node to a cluster with 4 nodes with 18TB drives. 18TB drives are no longer available for Dell server so we have to go with 20TB drives, that according to doc will be formatted to 18TB usable volumes. Is the requirement for 768GB RAM based on usable drive size or the actual size?Are we able to run these servers on 512GB RAM as the drives will be 18TB usable to the Storage Pool? /Patrik

Hi, We have installed VSA on physical mediaagent for SAN based backup.We have provided the access node on advanced options of subclient.Backups completed with SAN transport mode. While performing full VM restore, in the access node list it does not show physical VSA(aka MediaAgents).It shows all other VSA in the environment. We have all prerequisites installed like mono packages etc. We are in 11.32.59 and physical MA are redhat 9.x machines.Please advise.

Hi all, just looking for some advice.  I have a CommCell that had SSO enabled for years and I can see all the local Support Team accounts under users in the CommCell. I have disabled SSO on the AD domain’s configured and now I am planning on setting up MFA.  My thinking is to do the following Create an MFA group Enabled MFA for above group. Create new CV only local accounts for CV Admin staff and add these to the MFA group.Q, is this what others out there are doing ? also for old SSO accounts, can these be added to the MFA group so they can't logon and more with MFA. Thanks 

We have installed new tape library,  but  in the new library old  tape contents are not available  size is also showing 0 . in old library the barcode was 000882 but in new it takes name as 000882L6

Dear Commvault experts, Could you please elaborate on the following error code: NetApp multi-streaming within an individual content path is not enabled because we could not create a snapshot on the path [content_path_name] [Event Code 39:515]?On the NDMP subclient properties tab, we attempted to enable NetApp multi-streaming within an individual content path. However, after starting the full NDMP backup job, we encountered the error message mentioned above.Is this something we can investigate on the Commvault side, or should we focus on the NetApp storage array? Based on your experience, are there any significant benefits if using this option?

I have an HCI cluster 23h2 that I want to add for VM protection, but I'm unable to add the cluster in Commvault.The error message reads: 'Failed to install the File System Core Package. The credentials entered may not have permission to use WMI on the remote machine.
