Hi, Was wondering if there’s a report I can use that will list server, database and all the restore points we have available. I know I can go into each database recovery in the portal and use the calendar but we have 5000+ databases so looking for the raw data if poss. Something like this would be great, if it exists.   Many thanks

Hello everybody,AWS Backup is currently offering Full and Incremental level backups when it comes to protect RDS instances on AWS Cloud (Reference: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/USER_WorkingWithAutomatedBackups.html)Using Commvault v11.32, documentation states that Commvault can only perform Full level backup which involves huge cost when doing AWS Native Snapshot protection when it comes to protect RDS instances (Reference: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/backing_up_amazon_rds_instance_group.html)  Is there any way to perform Incremental snapshot of RDS instances in the future using Commvaul

We are experiencing a behavior only in some full jobs of a particular schedule, this happens in protected objects, the error messages are Remote I/O error, what we have detected is that the next incremental backup takes the objects that marked error in the full backup, we have moved the schedule backups but the failure continues, the backups are directed to disk libraries, has anyone had this behavior that can help us solve it.

We have a physical media agent server, that is very old and want to replace it with new physical server. So, we need to migrate / Hardware refresh the media agent server with same hostname and IP.What is the procedure and steps, we need to folow to perform this task smoothly.  

Hi All,I'm looking for technical resources and experience in integrating Commvault with Morpheus.What is the integration architecture?Is it possible to match tenant between Morpheus and Commvault? If so, how? So far, I've found only one link on the subject at Morpheus:Commvault — Morpheus Docs documentation (morpheusdata.com)In the integration section of this link, it says to add the IP or Hostname of the CommServe”, but I'm under the impression that it refers to the Web Server (in our architecture, the Web Server is not hosted on the Commserve). Thanks,Luc

Hello All,I’m a newbie, starting with CommVault and see these “Event Codes” on a Data Aging Job every day.Event ID 97531656 Event Code 13:6 (Exiting with errors - some files may not have been pruned) Event ID 9753162  Event Code 13:48 (Data is partially pruned due to database problem)As stated, I’m a newbie at this and don’t know if there is something I can do about this or should do about this.Any insight would be great.TIA, AlanKeno

Hi  We tried to active windows 2019 of RO1200 with below doc(https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/what_s_in_box_01.html), we found found there was no Windows Server 2019 Standard Product Key sticker on the top of the server. Is there any way to find the Windows Server 2019 Standard Product Key for RO1200? Thank you in advance for your answer !

Hello, we recently ran through a Security Health Review, with a third-party, and it was advised that we turn on MFA for Commvault.  I worked with our Infosec team and got Okta setup on our Commvault Command Center.However, I was wondering how do I get the Commcell to automatically redirect to Okta when someone is logging into the Commcell, while inside the server, or using the Jar file?I know there is the ‘Login with Command Center’ link, however, I can put my username and password in, and I get in fine (without an Okta prompt).  Is there a way to force the ‘Login’ link?We are on version 11.32.63.Thanks!

Hello Commvault Community, I would like to ask you if you might know which setting or configuration is responsible for refreshing the information in the Index Servers properties in the “Health Check” column (from CommandCenter).  All IndexServers are working and there aren’t problems with them, it's just that it shows an outdated Health Check and the question came up as to why and what might be responsible for it, to take an analysis of why it hasn't been updated.  Enviroment version: 11.34.38 Thanks in advance,Kind RegardsKamil

Hi,We have a RHEV environment that resides in a DMZ network segment.VSA Proxy is deployed within this env.  Our Commserv and Media Agents can connect to the  RHEV manager and the proxy ( One-Way ).Should that be enough for taking baackups ? or should we create some network toplogy for the RHEV client and proxy ?  Thanks

Scheduled a Microsoft SQL restore to a different server but file name date does not updateWe have a scheduled SQL restore job that runs every night, however the .bak file date is not updating with the most current date, just want to know if that is normal ?the folder name we are restoring to is folder.bakPlease see screenshots.  screenshot of restored files.  

I have a question about the wals backup. If the commvault backups the archive wals and deletes them ( i have the option enabled), what happens to the wal files?  Do they just pile up?

We are backing up SQL database with TDE encryption. Could we restore the encrypted database to original server or different server without any encrypted key.

This is an informative post targeting customers, like MSPs, who use the Private Metrics Billing engine for chargeback or other use cases. Do note that ones you upgrade to CPR2024 that the billing engine stops showing information. For some reason, and without notification/communication, Commvault decided to redrawn the possibility to use the billing engine by customers. We have a ticket open for it already.

Can we configure Hyper-V VM backups using scvmm instead of installing agent on Hyper-V node to take advantage of backups using VM tags.

If I understand correctly with a license of 20TB AirGap customer can send to Azure up to 20TB of local data. With AirGap the space occupied in Azure will be 2x or more (40+TB). There is no extra cost for the customer for this 2x+ capacity, it is included in the Commvault license they have correct?Thanks a lotPanos

Experts, when sometimes the customer rely on a customized third party orchestration platforms like SIEM and SOAR platforms that specialize in security incident response.not the standard SOAR platforms we integrated with.  Is there any guide for showing how our platform integrates with the customized SOAR or SIEM tools and provides the similar incident response and orchestration abilities? thanks in advance. 

Hello,I would like to get a list of all failed jobs in the last 24 hours.I was able to get all the job ids from the last 24 hours but to find the failed ones I need to retrieve the data of each job and it is not efficient and might take a long time. Is it possible to do it more efficiently?
