Hello. Volumes were combined on the storage, the size of the two volumes became more than 50 tb. And now, out of 8 volumes, 2 volumes are not running full backups and even increments are not starting. Job starts, but progress stands still. 

I’m Looking to create an aux copy to an AWS S3 bucket from ON Prem hyperscalers.  What are best practices in terms of enabling WORM on the bucket?  Is there anything that needs to be done with the ddb on the hyperscalers in terms of operations/maintenance?  Thanks.

Hi All, I have some question about Commvault on Alicloud.Currently, all my CommServe, media agent and clients are On Prem. As i plan to do restoration for my On Prem backup to Alicloud ECSI have done create Proxy VM at Alicloud ECS.Next, i wish to know what port should be open in order my On Prem data able to restore to Alicloud ECS. And which server need to open those port.    

We had a working Cassandra backup (6 nodes) in a production VPC.  Recently DBA’s added “DR nodes” from a different DC as part of the cluster.  Now the backup is picking up all nodes and failing.  Is there away to restrict what nodes we will be backing up?  Basically nodes from dc1 are porduction and dc2 are DR.  we only want to backup dc1.Thanks for any help you can give.Chuck

Hello Team, We are configuring Exchange 2019 DB backup, while running backup it's showing an VSS related errors.The exchange DAG is configured IP less and without DNS feature. While adding DAG client in commcell is successfully added and discover DB also with out any issue. We checked DAG client check readiness, its showing communication error. Please advise any specific configuration needed for DAG IP less feature.

I am completed a setup of CV failover and configured Livesync. the logshipping backup was successful and replication to standby CV is also successful. Then trying to perform failover to standby CV. During CV failover process the operation is failing due to Connecting to the database failed - error returned was Login failed for user sqladmin_cv.Then I tried to reset the password of sqladmin_cv from SQL Server management studio but still failed to complete the failover due to login.Would anyone has an idea on how to fix the issue?

Hi,We are planning to upgrade our commvault software version 11.20.46 to the latest 11.26.x (If still supported). Below are our inquiry. If our active Capacity license can cover to perform or assist us on the upgrade by the help of CV Support team? Under Commcell Environment Upgrades documentation, we can see a lot of information's about the upgrade and procedures. Being new to this backup software this cause confusion. Is there a way to provide a specific upgrade procedure base from our current setup/environment including compute requirements? So we have two sites… one media agent at each site.  Each site has a Primary backup to that sites’ MA with a secondary going to the other site.   It’s been this way for years. In THEORY, with each site writing to itself and copying to the other, using dedupe/compression… one might think both sides would look roughly the same - as it’s the same “stuff”.  However, one site is ~290TB while the other is 440TB and growing. I’ve talked to support to find out if there was a way to reconcile this difference and, while they were extremely helpful, it seems that life’s answer is “with dedupe and compression, you’re not guaranteed the same size when these things are involved.  You’re just going to have to purchase more space at the larger site”.   Don’t get me wrong - we’re backing up more than a petabyte of data on each site, but it seems like one’s just far less efficient than the other. Has anyone else faced this situation, and how did you deal with it?

Hello,I have a simple question. Is it safe to change storage policy for a subclient? Is there any data loss posibility? Do remain old data in the old storage policy?I am asking because I need to temporarily change disk library to tape library and because data are not synchronized it is not possible to promote secondary copy to primary.

Installation of Hyper-V cluster in commvault. Agent Virtual server installed on the commserver and on the 2 hosts of the hyper-v system.The client in commvault has been created with the name of the cluster and with the 2 hosts as nodes of the virutal server Hyper-VNow the problem is that I see only the first host in the browse of the subclient. And all the VMs of this host. Can you assist me? If I select only the second host as node, I can see all VMs from this host, so I presume that’s not a permissions issue.  

Is there a way to configure the DAG client to authenticate to a specific AD server.We have an environment where there is are 2 domains for Exchange literally with the same name.One is production and another is non-production.  I need to configure the DAG but I am getting discovery failed everytime I run a discovery. Which I suspect is trying to authenticate thru the production AD environment.Any suggestions will be helpful..

Hi,I am using commvault tool first time and i have added my window machine in commcell, now i am going to install agent on that machine but getting the below error, Failed to install Base Package. Failed to access remote registry. I am using window 10 OS there is no AD this system on workgroup network and machine was on azure portal.username is: workgroup\commvault for more information please find the screenshotAlso how i can download agent software from commcell and install manually on window and Linux machine
