Hi,I’d like to Retire a Media Agent hosting a global dedup database on which my primary copies are pointing ,to keep only my secondary copies hosted on another MA for archival purposes.Looking at the documentation I found that I can seal a ddb using an xml script but its mentioning the parameters -storagePolicyName 'xxxxx' and -copyName 'xxxxx'. Goed Day, I am trying to set up Intellisnap backup for the HNAS client, what is the best practices set up for, and do i need to add HNAS LUNS to the access node??  I am using CV 11.32( wil be upgrading to 36 in 2 weeks)HNAS 15.3 ( Hitachi)

 i have the below recovery group created , backup and associated aux copy are completing successfully .when i set copy for replication to automatic it shows sla met and in sync the moment i change it from automatic to secondary is show  

Hi Commvault-UsersI’m looking for a good way to find all client computers with subclients which have the setting “Retain jobs indefinitely” in the retention tab.As we have around 500 client computers with multiple subclients checking all the subclients manually is not a good solution.Any Ideas?The following screenshot shows the setting marked in red of the subclient: RegardsJan

Hi,We’re running 11.32.73.The Tomcat version used have at least two vulnerabilities, CVE-2024-52316 and CVE-2024-38286.When checking the windows service it says it’s version 10.1.8. When checking the catalina.jar file it shows version 10.1.19.Still we need to get past 10.1.30 to fix CVE-2024-52316 which have the status Critical.When do you plan to update the Tomcat version?

So we started migrating vms from vmware cluster 1 with nutanix storage  to pure cluster 2 with purestorage, about 1000 vms: we have intellisnap on both. The diffrnece is we have 50 datastore in nutanix vs 10 on pure, we have configured the job one subclient per lun, the proxies were in nutanix platform but I migrated few to pure, although the controller proxy still in Nutanix, however we seem to be having issues during the first phase when cv proxy requests a vmware snapshot of the vms..it was working all fine however as per the patching process we keep the snapshot on some vms overnight.  My understanding was as long as the networking among proxies does not change atleast the first phase should go smoothly without any load issue irrespective of where the proxies are located either in nutanix or pure cluster...it appears the request to create a vmware snapshot taking too long..we are using the same set of proxies...

We have a standard patching process wherein we take a snapshot and leave the server running and then the snapshots are committed the next day just as a fail safe ; from what I understand this process should not be used to patch Commvault windows proxies as could have issues during the backup copy process (we use intellisnap; like hot-add)

Hello Is it possible to disable the email users receive when failing to enter the 6 digit two-factor authentication code? To clarify when a user enters their login info they need to enter the 6 digit code after their password. Failing to do so will send an email to the user with a one time login code that is viable for 30minutes.I would like to disable this email being sent when failing to enter the authentication code upon login.Is this possible? 

Im planning to upgrade our Commserver from Commvault v11.32 to v11.36.  I was reading the document and it says since v11.36 comes with SQL 2022 you need to manually uninstall the SQL ( which technically means uninstall everything including the Commvault modules etc ) and reinstall . Is there a more seamless and supported way on doing this?  Seems like Commvault has drop the ball in this process. Use to be able to keep existing version etc.

Hi all,I have a really weird problem:Our customer noticed, that by end of November 2020 (28th / 29th), the scheduled jobs for the VSA backups (VMware) did stop working. There are no failed jobs, but only a gap in the backup history.When a job is started manually via the schedule policy ("run immediately"), the message "Failed to run task. No associations exist." appears. Starting the jobs manually via the subclient works on the other hand. The backup activity is not disabled on any level (Client, Agent, Backup Set, subclient, client group… ).Jobs for other clients associated to the same schedule policies work fine. But all scheduled jobs for all subclients of the affected client do not start by schedule.All jobs that are scheduled are Synthetic fulls with the option to first start an incremental before synthetic full enabled.If I start an incremental job manually, the next scheduled job starts. But only once. Also, I can use “Run immediately

hi, i have a customer, which have a 470 mailboxes, but the licecnce is for 445. Now im running on the trial one, i need to swithc to production one. So i selected some mailboxes and click to exclude from backup for 20 mailboxes - but when i trying add the licence i still have 470 mailboxes. any advice ?

Hello Community!I would like to ask you guys if maybe someone have similar issue with Exchange DAG restores as we have in one of the environment.The case is not a fresh one, i had a ticket for around a year in commvault - but they did not find the solution. At the end they recommended (we suggested it and they agreed) to enable “Perform Consistency Check” on the exchange backup schedules. We did it few weeks ago, and now we tried to test restores, but we still see the same issues at the end of the restore process.The issue is not easy to troubleshoot, because databases are big (around 1TB each) and restore process is failing at the very end. Dear ExpertsWe are trying to Restore Db2 Database to different Server ( Restore to Disk ), Media Read Performance is very low and Opened case with Commvault 250310-318. Dear team,We have one Disk library Configured as shared between 2 MA servers. disk Lib total Capacity reached to 1.3 PB and no issues in Backup Operations, we are getting good throughput. But Facing some slowness issues in DDB Verification is there any Limitations to add more space to same library ? any best practices here ??

Hi Folks Im having an issue, with sharepoint backups, I keep getting the error Failed to impersonate with user: CommvaultSP when it tries to access the shared job directory.I’ve checked all the permissions as they should be and that account has full control over that directory Commvault version 11.36.46Any pointers in the correct direction would be welcomed! 

We are preparing to implement a new Commvault environment and the tenants will be responsible for installing the client to their systems. As such, we would like an alert when a new client has been registered so we can associate it to the appropriate groups/plans/storage policy etc. So far as I can tell, such a thing does not exist. I would love input on how to best go about this. Thank you.

Hi Team,Some question on salesforce data protection through Commvault  How does the CV licensing model apply to Salesforce? Which Salesforce entity serves as the basis for CV licenses? Does CV support both capacity-based and agent-based licensing models for Salesforce protection? Is it necessary to use Commvault Cloud/Metallic SaaS, or can an in-house Commvault deployment on a physical server or VM also be used for Salesforce protection?
