Hello all, While trying to start 1-Touch restore from FS backup of RedHat 8.8 we are having this issue after first stage of restore: Does anyone know what might cause this problem?

Customer contacted us saying they saw a File system backup job “Completed with errors”.Found in job history details that 5-6 objects failed due to “access is denied”.I mentioned this to the customer, and it appears the failed objects are folders that were deleted 3 days ago.I guess Commvault is running some kind of indexing before a backup job starts(?), but I don’t know why it still “sees” the deleted folders during indexing or backup..?Can I force update the index somehow? Is this even caused by a problem with index?(Since the folders were deleted there has been 2 Completed with errors with reference to the same folders. I suspect the backup today will be the same..)

HelloWe have worm enabled copies. The retention is 10 days and 1 cycle.Now we have a server that is decomissioned and backups have expiered after 20 days, so we are cleaning up the stg copies. But coming to the worm copy we can’t get rid of it due to that we can’t manually delete a job from it. As it is now it seems the backup jobs will be in there forever.I know we can do the process for unlocking the worm setting via support.Is there a best practicies regarding worm enabled copies in the respect of cycles?Am I right to assumethat, If we would set the cycles to 0 the job would prune off correctly?BRHenke

Hello. We would like to restore some files and SQL DB backups nightly directly into a Azure Blob. I know that I can schedule this type of restores. (latest backup & advanced restore options for SQL)But:Is it possible to restore directly into a Azure Blob? (Destination: azure blob)(aux copy will not do the job, as I need the data in the native / non-commvault format in the cloud)

Hi Team, Just want to check, the current Avamar backup data will migrate to Commvault ?The backup data is available FS, DB & VM’s.

We do are doing aux copy from one side to other using SD-WANThe strange behavior is that is the the copy from A to B is working fine but the other way round it is really poorThe configuration is done equalwhat can we check/do to increase also in the other way

Hello,I am about to delete a client that is a VM from the commcell as it’s not needed any longer.However I do get a warning, as below. Is it only the wording from commvault or will it actually delete all virtual machines?I hope it only delete the one chosen.But before clicking okej I hope to get some verification by someone in here ThanksHenke

The Agent Restartability matrix suggests that an Exhange Mailbox archive operation will restart from the point-of-failure. Can anyone confirm whether, at an individual mailbox level, this means that the operation will continue on from the last protected mail item, or does it start from the beginning for that mailbox?

Good dayI”m busy configuring the download center for endpoint package installs. I’ve created the repository using the Web Server options and then added the packages as required and synchronised them.When creating a laptop user and having the invite link sent to them, the below page opens up with no packages published.  If the user navigates to the Webconsole and to the Download Centre, the packages are listed. Ideally I’d prefer the above page to be populate, but not sure when I’m missing?

Hello Commvault Community,While restoring SQL DB to “D” and “E” drive we are getting the below error.Description: Encountered error while writing to the file. Error code [28]. Please make sure there is enough disk space on [C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\iDataAgent\JobResults\CV_JobResults\2\0\18631087\RstStage].I would like to know why the CV_JobResults is taking so much of space (67GB) on “C” drive. In the other hand we have another server where CV_JobResults is availble in “D” drive is taking less space (67KB).If this issue created for the content store available on the Drives, could you please assist me if I can change the path and how. If not please suggest the solutions.

Hi,We are trying to do a Postgres DumpBasedBackupSet Restore, but it takes longer for restore to finish.Like 300Gb take a 1 ½  day and we end up killing the job!!!Any help/suggestions to improve the speed?On hardware side we have enough resources:Source:Postgres version : 10.17OS: CentOS stream 8 Destine:Postgres version : 14.11OS: CentOS stream 9 During restore I can’t see the throughput or number of stream allocated. Thanks,

 I have the SLA dropped down today suddenly. Checking the reason, I find that it is because of client that is being backed up monthly with no change in the configuration.Any idea what could be the reason? I have also checked the sub clients associated; and it is only one Sub client the default one. The schedule is monthly with a Backup option Run Incremental before Synth FYLL backup.  Surprisingly from the backup history only this month I find a separate record for Incremental backup kicked off before the SYNTH FULL which is not the case for the rest of the month. ​

I need to put this out there as this has been pointed out to me in a support case, as I was told I was running an unsupported configuration for 1-touch backupsMy unsupported configuration?  Running RHEL8.9.Yes, running a fully patched version of RHEL is currently unsupported for 1-touch backup.So I’m running 11.32.49, and here is the supported  list of versions (the chart is the same for 11.34) link here Now here is the thing about this - RHEL8.7 was superseded by RHEL8.8 May 2023, which was superseded by RHEL8.9 November 2023.  Release dates hereSo 1-touch backups for a RHEL8 fully patched system have been unsupported by Commvault since May 2023.  If you look at that support list only RHEL8.6 with Extended Update Support is currently supported by both Commvault and Redhat (Red Had info here)It’s even worse if you look at the RHEL9 info.  RHEL9.0 was superseded by RHEL9.1 in November 2022 (and superseded up to RHEL9.3 as of now).  So no version of RHEL9 is actually currently supported

Hi Guys,  I would suggest reporting mainly on monthly basis to the customer  SLA, Failed jobs statistics, Libraries growth rate.  Does anyone have better report information? any insights on that please ?
