Hello We have Commvault Recovery environment . All our Tapes are encrypted using IBM SKLM . Now we are planning to migrate the Tape data to EMC s3 storage to eliminate tape.What is the steps to need to create a aux copy to migrate the tape data to s3 storage. How to eliminate the encryption which was enabled on the Tape while migrating through aux copy. Thanks,Sandy

Hello all!I am wondering if there is a way to check “storage” on servers, which are a part of backup in Commvault.Reason: In our company - we as a backup team does not have direct access to hosts, and sometimes it took ages to find someone responsible for server to do some checks…Quesion:If there is File System agent installed on server - is there a way to check things like “total size, consumed space, free space”? On both Linux and Windows machines?It would help us a lot, especially while restoring out of place DBs.I am asking because i have found that Oracle agent is doing some checks while preparing restore:I have like thousands of ideas how it could improve our quality of work...Any ideas?Thanks! 

we are trying to start a backup for a subclient with editing the advance option under media tab and changing retention for primary job to different retention. backup is completed but it shows us the retention of the storage policy only not the one we have changed it.how to make backup use retention we set in manual backup advance option and not using the retention form storage policy.

  Hi,is it possible to run continuous data replication (CDR) using the Network Topology functionality? The point is that the source and destination servers are in different network segments and do not communicate with each other - but both communicate with MediaAgent. Hi,I am about to replace our old tape library with some new hardware and was wanting to know the steps to follow.I can add the new tape library to the Commcell, but when do i configure the new library with the existing storage policies? After i de-configure the old library and move the orphaned media to the new library?

Hi All, since 2 Days we are getting a lot of tickets from customers regarding the sharepoint online backup: Error code: [27:364]Description: Failed to validate any of the configured Azure Apps against the SharePoint Tenant Admin site. 1) Please verify the SharePoint Tenant Admin Url. 2) Please check the credentials and permissions for the configured apps. 3) Please ensure Custom App authentication is enabled on the SharePoint tenant. The verify works and the apps shown as registratded but under service accounts i have an issue is there an known issue ?

IHAC who wants to change from 3DES encryption to AES-256. I know we don’t re-encrypted data that already exists in the library, but the question is do we see a noticeable difference in storage consumption between ciphers? Hi, I have a VM which fails, with error failed to get index information from previous backup. The index cannot be accessed. try again later. I have run a full backup. this completes successfully and then ran an incremental backup on this VM and the issue still persists. This issue is only occurs when you run an incremental backup on this one VM. Are there any suggestion we can try?

Hi Community,how can I update the index status of the Exchange Online Agent?I have currently an Index status of April 10.  When I initiate a mailbox restore, only mails up to April 10 are displayed.  Is it possible to refresh manually the Index Status from the Exchange Online Agent? best regards,Andreas
