Hi everyone,I’ve a problem, After installing Exchange package on Exchange 2016 on-prem server as shown in documentation, I try to add exchange mailbox agent as shown in https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11_sp20/article?p=100566.htm and when i try to add a new application type I get a message “Creating this application type is not supported. Use the Exchange Mailbox agent from the Command Center or the Commcell Console”.Plz tell me what to do.

HelloApparently, after successfully backing up some VMs (VMware), commvault is requesting disk consolidation several times in a row (without waiting the first request to finish).This sometimes is causing the VM to be unresponsive. Commvault is being proactive but it is causing downtimes to the environment.1 - can I disable this feature (commvault starting consolidation tasks for the VMs that needs consolidation)?2 - can Commvault skip this VM? I read that commvault would skip VMs that needs disk consolidation. But I am not sure if this is really happening.regards,Pedro

I’m trying to prevent updates from being installed on a specific client.  It is an older client that needs to stay on v9 because the iDA is no longer supported.I am following the suggestion posted here:Is there any way to prevent updates and upgrades from being pushed to a client? | Community (commvault.com)I created the Additional Setting at the client level to test, and then kicked off an Update Software job.  The job ran and it didn’t seem to honor this setting as it showed “Update In Progress” and eventually failed out due to another issue on the box.Can we verify that this should work on v11.24.69, and that the key is correct [bSkipUpdate]?  I also attempted to use the Excluded Machines list from Software Configuration but that didn’t seem to work

Hello all!We have received a request to update Java on our Commvault Servers - Comservers and media agents.Are there any dependencies between Commvault Services and Java version which we need to keep in mind? Are You aware of any “compatibility” matrix for Java version and Commvault? Can we just easily upgrade Java and should not be worry about Commvault Services?

I created a storage policy and changed the storage policy from one of our Postgres clients to this new one storage policy. Storage Policy used for all Archive Log backups from the old one to new one: SP_PJe-2G.  Data Storage Policy from old one to new one: same SP_PJe-2G.  I ran some Incremental jobs, just log backups, and today I realize that during the Full Backup Job there was a comunication between the new MA server cvault-ma-20 and the old one, cvault-ma-02.  This new storage policy has the following Data Path

I have enabled two factor authentication for commvault specific group in which both domain user and local user are member of , two factor authentication is not working for domain users , is there anyway to make it work 

After SLES 12 to 15 os upgrade, how to reconfigure CommVault clientas installation files gone by os upgrade.do i need to reinstall the client or any other way to recover commvault client configuration?

Hi,today I observed, that putting all of my MediaAgents to Maintenance for specific site, caused scheduled backups to fail with: no access nodes online.I use the MediaAgents as AccessNodes for the Vmware installation in that site, and expected all jobs to go to waiting or queued state instead of failing.Is this the expected behavior? I did not deactivate backup activity on any client resource.Currently running on V11.32.28rgdsKlaus

we are not sure where in the registry it is to change the system time to fix this problem. or if there is a better solution to these issues

Hi,The current set up is all in physical server for Commserve and another physical server is for Media Agent and iProxy together. Commserve server is running on Windows Server, while Media Agent in on RHEL.The question is, can I virtualize all into a virtual machine? andHow is process to P2V?Thank you.

Hello team, Has anyone migrated archived emails from different vendors to commvault?  i know that there are tools to perform this kind of migration transvault and quest but, has anyone tried to perform a manual migration from any vendor to commvault without any tool, is it possible?

Hello good,I have a question, I would like to be able to manage the backups so that they are not executed if there are not entirely free streams to assign them, but rather that when all the streams are configured in the free backup it is executed.Example so you can understand me:I have an Oracle RAC backup (2 nodes) with 4 streams per node for a total of 8.I want it not to be executed with the streams that are available at that moment if there are not enough to reach 8 and thus use all the configured ones, I mean that if there are 4 free streams in the Storage Policy, do not perform the backup with those 4 streams but Only do it when all 8 are available.Is there a way to manage this? any variable/additional settings?Thank you,All the best.

Hi, I can get this data after exporting a report to csv and manipulate it. Question is, how come there is no builtin report or dashboard or graph that would provide this in a simpler way? Regards,Pedro

All backup jobs seem to be stuck on waiting and dont seem to go any further and stay on waiting. 

Hi Folks, Configured one of the windows client in Commvault 11.28 version. While creating the backup, in properties→ Content→ Browse→ Available Volume Drives are not listing up. Hi All,I’m wondering about how many times the job manager in Metallic will retry a job that is scheduled, if for some reason like connectivity issues to the workload present and Metallic cant effectively run the job (maybe not a good scenario, it may just failed not sure). As in how many times it will retry by default? I know there are parameters for this under the traditional Commvault platform, but haven't found it in Metallic.Kind thanksMark

Hi, We have CV running at 11.32.30 and CommServe configured in HA with Livesync working perfectly fine. As a part of the organizational change, we have to modify the CommServe HOST NAME for both active and passive Commserve Hosts. Can we do this change with out any harm to the configuration? if any one has performed it or if it is documented, can you please point me to it ? I am a little worried to do this change as it can disturb the entire configuration. Any quick suggestions will be of great help. RegardsRaj
