 Hi, allSo, i am doing Nutanix Backup and i can discover all VMs in the cluster.I am getting this error, below…...I do not know if anyone has seen this error before.We have tried different VMs, same issue. It is a P.O.C…...kindly assist. Error Code: [91:4]Description: Virtual machine[UAT-IRM01] was not found. Please verify that the virtual machinestill exists and that the host is in the connected state. If the virtualmachine does not exist remove it from the subclient. If the virtualmachine does exist reselect the virtual machine and re-add it to thesubclient content.Source: ikjdc-prd-ahp01, Process: vsbkp

I want to explain a problem we have:Hardware WORM was active on all of our disk libraries. We are not aware of having activated this functionality and as support indicated, there is no trace that we have executed a workflow to activate it.Despite that, the WORM functionality was not active in any of our Storage Policies, only at the disk library level. We could change the retention of our copies, delete backups, micro-prunning working, and our databases were NEVER sealed. We updated version 11.28 to 11.30 and suddenly the “WORM Storage” feature is activated in ALL storage policies at storage pool level.As per the below document, this changes are applied on SP3

Hello, I have a fresh installation of Commvault version 11.28.56. I am attempting to connect to our vCenter instance through the Command Center GUI. After putting in the information to ‘Add Hypervisor’ I receive a ‘Request body is empty or format is invalid.’ error. I accidentally backed up all of the content on my file server and didn’t mean to. Now my local storage is out of space and I don’t want this copied to MRR secondary.Is there a way for me to delete the jobs? 

Hi guys,has anyone experience with iSCSI-attached tape libraries and the sharing of the drives? It should work, but it is not really documentated and I am concerned about performance, stability and functionality. Even more, if only one network is available for both, regular network traffic and iSCSI connection. Any information/experiences would be apreciated. thanks a lot!

Hi All, We have Linux cluster with shared disks. Both servers are resides on a VMWare environment. Due to a VMWare issue we cannot take snapshot of the vms. Now we want to backup these VMs from commvault. We are currently takin backups from few file systems on these VMs.I tried to enable 1-Touch recovery and initiate a full backup. Backup fails on “Backup” phase showing following error. +++++++++++++++++++Enor Code: [82: 172]Description: Could not connect to the DeDuplication Database process for Store ld[33].+++++++++++++++++++ This mentioned DeDuplication Database is online and shows no errors. When removed 1-Touch backup is running smoothly.

Just few questions ,we are having hyperscale x nodes , we have standard storage policy - primary copies - are the backup data in this are WORM by default ? can it be modified ? also what about immutability , do we need to perform Enable Retention Lock Workflow. to achieve immutability ??if we have storage policy encryption , do we need to do Software Encryption on HyperScale Storage

Hello there,We’ve tried to upgrade our commserv from 11.24 to 11.28, but it failed ob the database upgradewith this error :Cannot create more than one clustered index on table 'JMJobOptions'. Drop the existing clustered index 'JMJobOptions_jobId_commCellId_attributeId_idx' before creating anotherour commserv is a Microsoft Server 2022, SQL version 2019.Does anybody has already met with a similar issue?

Hi!customer has this big Oracke DB (50TB). Intellisnap is not an options now. weekly tape out. disk storage is a HSX.Any specific recommendation for this scenario?Incremental forever? synthetic fulls? any other thoughts?Regards,Pedro

after install of the oracle client on rhel8.8 machine, i am unable to discover databases.  getting this error in the logs:577603 8d043 06/29 16:02:15 ### NetMessage::verifyResponseHeader() - Error Code [547] returned - [Problems executing [AppInsertInstanceProp], Line[137] :The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "APP_InstanceProp_componentNameId_FK". The conflict occurred in database "CommServ", table "dbo.APP_InstanceName", column 'id'.]. i have been comparing this client to ones that are not having the issue and i can not find any reason for these clients to be different.  i do have a case open with commvault but no response yet other than to check that oracle was running.

Hi,We are trying to select multiple VMs and taking backups of all those VMs on our S3 Compatible HCP Storage.We know that the snapshots get taken for the respective VMs and then pushed to the cloud library. Correct me if I may be wrong.Even though we have good amount of space in Datastore, it is not possible to take multiple VMs backup as it is sizing out the datastore. We even changed the check on datastore space.Is there any particular setting that can help achieve the backups of the VMs, lets say 10 in number, more effectively and successfully ?

Hello, I just wonder what is the best practice to schedule the SharePoint Document? The current schedule that I have now is Full on every Friday and Incremental from Monday to Thursday.Should I change the Friday Full to Synthetic Full? Thank you.

So I have an availability group setup with 2 nodes with a database that gets skipped during differential and tlog backups. The error in commvault states that “Database [X] is not online and skipped for backup”, however this does not happen during a full backup.  I’ve confirmed that the database recovery model is set to “Full” and not simple within Commvault. I recently changed the schedule policy on the availability group client for Full/Differential backups to happen at a different time, but other than that no configuration change was made. Backups were running normally before for this particular database. Any insight as to why this is occurring? I’ve had the DBA run a native backup and it works just fine.

The environment is a substantial CommVault enterprise system with numerous features in use. My background includes extensive experience as a CommVault engineer/architect. However, the issue is that I stopped working in this capacity back in 2017. I gained some additional experience between 2019 and 2021, but the systems were set up similarly to how I remember them from 2017. I've only worked with the Java GUI and don't have much familiarity with the Web Command Center. My question is how I can get up to speed with what's changed. We have installed oracle 21C windows edition on a Virtual machine and performed a Full backup on Commvault HDPS(Hitachi Data protection suite). I have the following problem, I have decommissioned 2 node from Commvault, but the license have not yet release and the customer has add 2 new nodes. So the system see that we are over the VM Socket License. The grace period did not active automatically and now I can’t log into the Console to enable it.  Is there a way to enable it via the Command Center? Or just to get into the Java Console?
