Hello! Apparently, the DDB backup should get automatically configured. We have 3 HSX RA nodes.For some reason the FS iDA on the nodes are grayed out: They all hav the DDBbackup subclient: And there's also a automatically created schedule for the subclientes: but no jobs are running for that schedule. Is it because the FS iDA is not completely configured? Should I hit "reconfigure" for it? Shouldn't all this be automatically set up or did I miss any configuration step? Regards,Pedro 

Why we need schedule 2 DDB backups in a day?

From here: Deduplication Best Practices (commvault.com)I’m seeing from this link its “best practice” if you have a DDB of around 100-200 TB to do a full backup “1 tie per week” and do incremental backups daily.  I would assume this is the case for a smaller DDB as well.My system currently has 5 DDBs (all multiple partitions) where 3 of them are ~40 TB, and the two large ones are ~350TB each.   We have a schedule to do a Full DDB backup “Daily” of all of them, and it appears to be the built in “System Created for DDB Clients” schedule.Is “taking Full DDB Backups daily” of this size “excessive” or “not really needed”?  I wasn’t aware you can schedule incremental DDB backups and wasn’t sure if this is something you can just add into an existing schedule. “Full daily” is just the schedule we have had for a long time.I bring this up because it seems we have had issues with the DDB backups (some of them), running for 15+ hours, and it appears its slowing everything else down quite a bit when

We have an environment mainly that is mainly linuxbased and try to keep number of windows servers down to a minimum. However we see that Office365 backups require that the webserver is windows based due to different reasons and requires an outlook installed to do PST restores.We are planning to try to implement HA on the commandcenter/webserver side and have a few questions in that regard.Planning for 1 commandcenter to point to 1 webserver as pr documentation.Must these webservers also be windows based to be able to support restores and configurations of M365 clients. or is it enough that there is one windowsbased webserver available?Must all webservers have outlook installed to do export to PST or can commvault somehow route the PST generation to specific webservers and the file be made available for the correct webserver?The simple design would be to keep the webservers windowsbased with outlook installed, but would prefer to move more to linuxbased workloads if possible.  

Hi,I am looking for a way, for example via workflow, to set all started (partially written) media (tapes) to full at the end of a quarter so that the backups for the new quarter all go to new tapes. We can not use the vault tracker because there are not enough export slots (or how does it work if a medium is to be exported via vault tracker but all mailslots are full ??). Or can we also use the vault tracker to just mark the media of the past quarter for export only (and disabling further writes)  without exporting the tapes  to the mailslots themselves so that we can take out the tapes in the order we want?Best regardsFrank

However, the report coming from Commvault has a lot of information.Would it be possible to use CLI to extract only the information I want?My idea is to create a script and run it every month without having to manually organize the data.

We have dotnet 3.1.32 which our security center scans are posting critical vulnerabilities because of 3.1.32 is EOL.   What hosting bundle for dotnet to I install since 3.1.32 is no longer being supported/patched.?   Cant seem to find if 11.24.x supports dotnet hosting bundles 6.0.x ?   Any input will be appreciated it.  Or suggestions on which dotnet I should be using?   ThanksBC

Hello CommVaulters, Uninstallation of MediaAgent on Linux machine via CommCell is failing. So, I would like to clean up mediaagent on Linux and push a fresh media agent software onto it. I am able to successfully query the rest API and the xml data looks good but when I use ‘Accept: application/json’ the data is not formatted correctly. Is this a known issue? I tested this feature in both python and curl.

Hi Team,In my environment the CommserveDB size was at 77 GB now and when I checked the history of that it was 59 GB on March 18 and from March 19th it was 77 GB.There were no changes performed on the environment.Will there be any reason why there’s a 18GB size increment on the CommserveDB and will it impact to the environment.???Note: Out-off 77GB the CommservData size is 55GB and Log size is 20.5 GB
