Even after waiting for several days, we have not received any acknowledgment from Commvault regarding the trial tenant creation.Could you please confirm if we are missing any step in the process, or advise us on how to proceed further?

I am facing this issue please help me to get this resolved.

Every time I log into Command Center the main menu (top left hamburger) is always minimized. I tested this on Chrome and Edge. I’m running Commvault 11.36.72. Is there any way to change the default behavior so that the menu is expanded by default? Having to click that hamburger every time is quite annoying, and I don’t think my brain is ever going to associate the icons with their intended meanings.Thanks 

My customer just testing Storage accelerator in his environment and has some questions.Scenario 11.36 : Client installed with file agent. SA in place and does its work for weeks. Now the connection to the S3 library failed for some reason.We observed that backups still running but without SA (fall back) over a MA.We also observed that backups do not come automatically back to SA if network connection to S3 lib is repaired.We found some keys in registry which may steer the behavior, but we do not completely understand how the software decided to use the Storage accelerator feature or not.  If we have no connection to cloudlib the two keys are created.The StorageacceleratorAutodisabledUntil key seems to renew all 24 hoursThe StorageacceleratorConsecutiveFailureCount seems to be increased after timestamp StorageacceleratorAutodisabledUntil was reached if “S3 network connection” is down.Max value is 8 . I have inherited a Commvault setup running mainly on Nutanix (A little VMware) spread across 3 sites, unfortunately the 1 person that knows this setup was laid off.  I am looking for a way to identify all the Commvault infrastructure across all sites.  I think I have the server names, but not necessarily all the services installed.I am new to Commvault, still stumbling around the interface….Any pointing to docs on how, powershell scripts, ??? appreciated.Thanks Tim

Hi all,I received an alert about the index cache of a media agent that will be full in less than 30 days, this for the first time with this server.This media agent is only used to backup VMware VMs, around 220 machines per night (2 storage policies).A Treesize report shows clearly the origin of this phenomena (1.png):More details indicates that there are huge VMware logs (2.png):Yesterday, disk was almost filled up to 90 % (3.png), I ran the load balance process from the “ Index server load” report, it freed 20 GB.The “Index cache space usage details” report for this MA, on a monthly basis this time (4.png) shows that before May, 2025, the legacy index (v1) size was neglectable.As far as I know, the only modifications on the infrastructure over the lasts months are deployment of updates, from 11.32.76 to 96, then 112.I had a look at Index log files on MA, nothing relevant. My questions are: Why the VMware logs consumed so much disk space ?Why the legacy index (v1) size increased recent

after shifting from hyperscale 1.5 to hyperscale X our db2 restore taking longer time. open ticket with support they reviewing and found it’s known issue for read fragmentation drops on cvfs during so requested to upgrade the CVFS version so we upgraded to CVFS version along OS patch upgrade but after that issue not resolved and request to move the ticket to development any one faces similar issue like reading data from hyperscale X. I run the mount path validation for check throughput and getting 70MB/s read throughput even the same throughput i got once i run the CVperformance tool. 

We'd like to change model license of Commvault from "Per frontent (TB)" to per VM due to protection data has been changed and we considering license per Frontend is not fit for those clients data usage anymore. Please kindly suggest method to a smooth and less effort to change commvault license and transfering data to the new license CCID.We're not sure that we need to setup new Commserve server and MA or we can easily replace license key in Commserve and upgrade version of CommServe and agents in clients.

Hello,We’re going to deploy the commvault cassandra agent on a cluster (first time for both us and the client, as of right now they’re using medusa to manage cassandra backups) and the cassandra cluster will be in a different security zone to the commvault backend. As such, we need to make internal requests to open the necessary ports between zones.My question concerns the Staged type of restore, and ports 7000,9042/7001,9142 specifically.From what i gather from the commvault docs, the way a Staged restore works is, the tables are pulled from storage (in our case cloud storage, either S3 or DataDomain), temporarily copied to a directory on a Staging Location (where SSTableLoader runs for this type of restore) and then streamed into the Cassandra nodes. Hi all, what’s the difference between File System and Application Consistent using VMware Tools and Application Aware Backup in the context of MS SQL and Oracle inside VMware VM? When do we use one vs the other?If I understand correctly, Application Aware backup will push application agent/plug-in, but not for File System and Application Consistent using VMware Tools. Dear Team, We encountered an issue during a VM-level backup of an OLVM-hosted Oracle DB server. Immediately after the backup started, the Oracle database went down. We killed the backup job, but the VM snapshot was not deleted.We engaged the Oracle vendor to remove the stale snapshot; however, the snapshot could not be deleted.At present, we only have full file system backups (no recent image-level backup). Please advise on the best approach to recover the server end-to-end. If there are alternative options, kindly share them so we can first validate in our lab environment and then proceed in production if successful. Regards,Mani D

Need some assist to configure private matrics reporting server

If netapp is managing snap mirror directly, can commvault be configured to mount and create backup copies from mirror copy created by netapp? Or snap mirror process needs to be managed by commvault and only then a backup copy can be created from mirror copy?  

Hi Team, Even though I disabled the following option on CommServe, the agent installation screen still asks for a username/password or an authentication code. Shouldn't it be prompted? How can I disable it? Best Regards

we use Intellisnap to protect Azure VM, Comvault will create ZRS snapshot for Azure disk, any option to create LRS snapshot?
