Hello, guys. I am a bit new to commvault and I have a client with a used case to back office365 data up to AWS.  They already have a bucket created to take the backup.  I just want to know the best practise to run the job and a brief on how to go about it. I will appreciate  a prompt response.

Hello, I am using a custom package 11.22.13 to deploy commvault on all VMs and servers.Now I have updated my Infra to 11.22.22, it is a Maintenance release provided by commvault.How to recreate the custom package, the maintenance release contains only InstallUpdates binary ? can you help please ? Thanks !!!

Hello community ! I have a Linux physical media agent.If I want to granular restore Windows files I need a Windows Virtual machine thaht act as a proxy  exact ?  I have installed a Windows proxy with rolesVSA MediaAgentI have create a 1TB virtual disk on this proxy for live browse and I defined the Jobresult folder to this diskI select  Guest files and folders Then, on Advanced options I specify the Livebrowse Proxy and I click on view content  I click on + near the VM I have this error message  If I leave default settings I can browse without issue Thank you !

Hello Commvault Community,My name is Kamil.I need your help with Kubernetes.  The client configured backups on the Kubernetes cluster, unfortunately, when an attempt is made to backup the components to which PVC is attached, an auxiliary container is created, whose task is to copy data from persistent volume. Unfortunately, the Pod is created automatically by Commvault, along with the image's path.In the case of Client configuration, they do not have posted traffic to official docker repositories, therefore Pods hang in the ImagePullBackoff state. They've already tested manually changing the address of a broken Pod's image to the same image in their private docker registry, which was successful. The client sent an example of the configuration they use.“For example, for Poda rabbitmq-0 with pvc attached, it was created Pod/ data-xyz-cv-1816940. HiIn the classic console, is there a way to eitherModify the Job Controller Icon, so by default it used a ‘filtered’ job controller view (without having to select the drop down on the Job Controller icon OR - Is there a way to add further icons to the ‘icon bar’ - and one of those extra Icons is a filtered view of the Job Controller

Doing some preparation of our DR environment and wondering, if we intend to only do restores in the DR environment, is SSD still a requirement? My thoughts were the performance is required to do signature lookups (for writes), but for restores this would not be required. Thanks!

after upgrading from v11.22.17 to Maintennce Release v11.22.22 all our SyFull Schedule Policies (with Option “run Incr Backup before SyFull) stay in waiting Status after finishing the Pre-Incremental-Job.Suspending or Killing the Jobs is not possible. Only Cycling the Commserver-Services is helping. After Cycling the CS Services, the SyFull Jobs change to running State and the Jobs will be finished successfully.Anybody else having this Problems after installing MR v11.22.22?Regards, Alex

Hi Guys, I finally found the exact article that describes a solution I wanted to implement and am seeking opinions to do this or not. Basically I want to create multiple Selective Copies under a storage policy and associate with different subclients/computers to meet a client’s tiering model and different retention. Because I also want to implement Deduplication between the Primary and each selective copy, Weekly and Monthly, I’m weighing an option to Create Selective Copy using a Library instead of using a Storage Pool. Hi, We are setting up a new Windows MA with new DD-Engine and a new DiskLib. The DDB disk has been configured with recommended 32k block size and the DiskLib volumes with 64k block size. We have run a new DASH Copy in the SP to create a new dedup baseline from the previous backed up data. And the plan is to make this DASH Copy the new Primary once all data is available. A standard re-baseline operation, that usually get better dedup ratio with an updated DD-Engine. The backup data is mostly Hyper-V vm’s. In this case the Data Written in the old copy was 9TB and the Copy stopped att 18TB in the new MA as it ran out of resources - DiskLib Full. This was unexpected. Now we are thinking about doing Move DDB and MountPath but if there is a general Deduplication degration we are not sure if this will work, and if we will run into the same issues again. Does anyone have a similar experience or knowledge about this issue and a recommendation on how to move forward?I have done both new baseline

Hi guys, I have storage policy SP_A that run daily monday-saturday incremental and sunday FULL.I have a secondary copy in this SP_A that run a scheduled at MONDAY 23h a selective copy of a full weekly backup.I wonder if I can get this behaviour: the same auxiliary copy of a secondary copy with the last full backup of week but that runs just after primary copy finishes.Is it possible get this?

Hello, my aws backup jpb is configured like thisI am using intellisnapand I have selected the instances from By Region      Backup runs fine and also backup copy. now I want to change the content of the subclient, I do not want to use the default By Region  selection but By tag Can I remove all content, then select By tag and click on ok ? or is there some procedure to follow ?I know that one time I have tried to remove an instance from a subclient and after that I had a lot of error for the backup copy due to intellisnap I think. Thank you !!

When adding an instance to the RAC database in commcell console, there is a popup “name conflicted with the other instance” How can I find out which database is already setup with the instance. Ralf

I have a Physical server running server 2016 and got the question to restore that server to a earlier state. Does anyone know how that is done in Commvault ?The server has full system and data backups. I know how to do VM restores but restoring a physical machine was never done.The restore should be done on the same physical server. Is this even possible ? 

Good afternoon everyone,As it says in the title, my problem is that when creating an index server to configure online Exchange backups, I assign a client with Index Store installed, but when accepting it remains loading for a long time to finish skipping an error for the 20000 that seems not to be working, it is a laboratory that I have set up so the Windows Firewall I have it disabled and I do not know well what this problem may be due to.Possible solutions? Hello,since we installed the SP23 Hotfix 7 on our commserve we have the following problem.After wie make a “Database Online Full Snap” on our Oracle-ASM DB (Linux-Server) the Snap-Job delete the SPfile. No chance to restart the DB.Why ? RegardsChris 

We are trying to move a mount path to a new media agent, but it’s failing ever since we stopped the job. The disk became full resulting the data migration job being stuck for weeks, so we stopped the job and freed up space. However, every time we try to restart the mount path move it fails.We did the following to troubleshoot:Run disk defragmentation Verify disk and mouth path are online Validate mouth path Verify no disk maintenance task is running General sanity checks The error that we get is:Move Mount Path Job Failed, Reason : The mount path is under maintenance and hence cannot proceed with the move operation. Source: <MediaAgentName>, Process: LibraryOperation Can anyone tell how to fix this error? How do we get Commvault to see that the disk is not in maintenance mode?
