Hi,We get an error when backing up vm with more than 5 disks in OVirt. Error;Error Code: [91:271]Description: Unable to attach disks for virtual machine [<vm_name>] to the proxy. Any limitation here?

I deployed the workflow "RestoreRequestAuthorization" and configured it for some client groups and a user group to be the approvers. All worked good.Now I want to configure another workflow to be able to configure another user group to approve requests for another client group(s) as my customer has different teams for different backup agents.When I deployed the cloned workflow I received an error message saying “message already configured for business logic workflow”. I found the conflicting message and gave it another name and was able to deploy the cloned workflow successfully.When I configured the cloned workflow with other client groups it didn’t work and the restore jobs didn’t trigger any requests for approvals!Wondering if anyone went through similar issue before?Thanks in advance!

Hello,we installed a v11.36 in a POC. Customer has circular logging in Exchange active. We do not use the Java GUI, and now we are looking for the advanced backup option “Convert job to full for databases that have circular logging enabled” in Command Center. We didn’t find it, but I may not be firm enough with Command Center for that ….Regards, Thomas

Do it means which active/active or active/passive?In the Job Results Directory box, type the path for the job results directory. Ensure that the directory resides on a shared cluster file system. What about jobresults directory ,how this resource need to be configured in cluster?How the dependency of jobresults with other resources need to be defined ? What does moved filesystem means ? Unmount any moved file system because of the failover

In Exchange Online backups there is a job that runs daily called a “live update”. This job is small in size (only a few KB) but it attempts to write to the library directly from the Index Server associated with the Exchange Online Client.In my environment the Cloud Storage library is restricted to specific VNET’s for security. This VNET contains the Access Nodes and MediaAgents as we use Cloud Storage Accelerator to process the backups.When the VNET restriction is in place this job fails as the Index Server which is not in the same VNET is unable to access the cloud library. If I remove the VNET restriction on the storage account the job runs without error.Is there a way to find out where this job is initiated from so it can be massaged to write to storage via the MediaAgent rather than directly?

Hello Commvault Community,Do we have any news regarding HCL Domino 14 support for Linux? I saw in another thread on Community that for Windows it has already been confirmed, for Linux theoretically too, but the documentation still hasn't been updated - Customers are asking for it and however, entries in the documentation are important in view of the regulation of companies' internal policies. Is there any date when this information will be updated? Currently we have encountered a problem with the “Discovering Databases” process, but this is the first instance of HCL Domino 14 database in the environment and for previous versions this problem doesn’t exist - hence my concern whether we should continue to integrate with Commvault if this version of the database is not officially supported.Thanks in advance Kind RegardsKamil

Hello Guys.I have backed up a linux file then I did restore successfully. Both of  there is not any failure or skiping file. But there are 20000 missing file after restore. What clould be there ?backupRestore

Hi, im still trying to get the RPO settings right for the following scenario (we are currently on V 11.32.69): Incremental Backup Mo-Fr 09:00 PMTransaction for Database every 4hFull Backup of Databases every Day 09:00 PMFull Backup (of all) Saturday 09:00 PM (for Tape export) We have some flexability with the start time, but for the first try we started with the rule set above:The outcome was mixed, the SQL Backups all had some Jobs with an “Failed to start” Error, also some of the Job there startet as Differential (the SQL option to incr. Backup) for other its started the Full Job, depending what job was “faster” to start. Isn’t there some intelligence that priorities the “higher value” Backup Job (Full > Diff > Incr.)? I could manually move the Database Fulls a few minutes eralier, that would at least make sure, the Full would be ran and the Incr. would “Fail to start” but is th

Hello All,we have Mongo Sharded Configuration backup on COmmvault. We backup it daily full. As you know COmmvault take snapshot before backup and , It deletes snapshots after backup copy. When I check the client on Commvault there is not any snphot presented. But There are many snapshot taken by COmmvault on host. İs it fine if we delete them manuelly or how can we delete them? Hi CV Experts,  We are on 11.32.59.As per default schedule DDBVerf configured in our environment. It is selected as Quick verification.But in 11.32 documentation, it is mentioned default schedule to run with “verification of existing jobs on disk”. https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/verification_of_deduplicated_data.html Kindly note,we have 1PB of data, so running ‘verification of existing jobs on disk’ shows estimated time to complete as more than one month.Can we run default schedule with Quick verification.Does it identify the corruption or missing in chunks on storage ? https://documentation.co

how can i select a date of copy to be replicated while performing failover , considier i have retention set 14 days , i want to do a failover with 7th day data , i dont see any option to select the restore point 

we have vmware vms hosted on HPE Alletra 9000 storage. Small vms are backed up using snapshot of the vms . The storage policy uses a global dedupe storage pool, so the current backups are copied to Hyperscale 1.5 storage libraries. the local snapshots disappear when the job completes.I understand that intellisnap backups can use the snapshot ability of the allatra storage array. We currently use multiple linux based physical hyperscale nodes as mediaagents which already have the mediaagent and vsa software built in.I expect that separate commvault subclients have to be setup in vcenter > vmware for each datastore that we would like to use an intellisnap backup? We have the alletra arrays configured in array management with all the mediaagents as access nodesMy questions are:1) would  the sub clients would use the HPE 3par snap engine? instead of the vcenter2) Some datastores host several large vms, how can a subclient that points to that

Hi,Is VMWare Live Recovery supported from a NetApp SnapMirror/Vault destination that has SnapLock enabled.That is, is it possible to point the Live Recovery source copy to a SnapMirror/Vault copy?I am assuming that it “should” be possible as the data is presented via the MA back to the ESX host, and am looking for confirmation of this.CheersJon 

Hey all,Why would a random end user in AD show up as an associated user on a laptop that they have never logged into?The only backup data in that users profile is an Office Document Template.  This user was also only added after the laptop was upgraded to windows 11.Does anyone have any idea why?TIA,J

We have several branch offices which mostly have only one server for different purposes.These servers are also used as media agents with standalone tape drives.Some of these servers have USB-sticks installed which are needed for licensing purposes.Unfortunately this seems to have an impact on the way Commvault detects the access path of the tape drive.For example the tape drive is usually accessible on \\.\Tape0.When a USB-stick is installed its access path gets detected for the tape drive e.g. \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE2.From the SCSI Scan it seems like the USB-stick is (virtually?) assigned to the same SCSI id as the tape. I tried configuring the drive without the USB installed, but after the next SCSI Scan occurs, it causes the access path to change again. Is there a way to correct this behaviour or stop new SCSI scans after the initial configuration?

Does these physical HP UX servers FS level backups are still supported in Commvault?RX7620 , HP-UX Ver11v2RX1620 , HP-UX Ver11v2As we know HPUX 11.2 is EOSL. As i checked in documentation.commvault.com it has its supported but with conditions, not able get full clarity. We have  requirement for data migration from HP DP to Commvault, so in that case, can we use 11.32 or 11.34 to get FS level backups on these machines? 

Hello All,I have migrated media agent to new media agent by using Replace MediaAgent App. Jobs completed succesfully and The new media agent is in Ready status and online. My question is how to move all DataInterfacePair (backup network) to new media agent. 

There is a test VM we created to test the script but it not being fetched while all the other VMs are being fetched the only difference is test VMs are not added in the domain
