Active Directory Restore process from microsoft require to use ISO to bootBut in AZURE, there is no capacity to boot on ISOIn Azure, you don’t have access to the console before the VM BOOT Is someone find a solution on this ? or workaround ?

It could be nice, when I choose a Restore point to view a summarize of the Exchange On Line mailbox content (size, item count, and so on). It helps to understand, for example, if a user deleted a lot of email from one restore point to another.It could also help a browsing feature (day by day should help) into Backup Stats for having a quick sight between days. Thank you

Hi All,We are trying to test Microsoft 365 and Endpoint backup using Commvault. However, whenever we register for the trial tenant, we receive the message shown below. Even after waiting for several days, we have not received any acknowledgment from Commvault regarding the trial tenant creation.Could you please confirm if we are missing any step in the process, or advise us on how to proceed further?

Dear Team, Our VMware backups for AWS VMs are running successfully in Metallic, with an AWS S3 bucket as the primary (disk library) and a secondary copy to Metallic Cold Storage—no issues observed.We now have similar VMs in Azure and would like to configure backups in Metallic as follows: Primary copy: AWS S3 bucket (disk library) Secondary copy: Metallic Cold Storage Licensing: We have sufficient Metallic licenses for these VMs. Questions / Request Can we use the existing S3 bucket as the primary copy for the Azure VMs as well? If this isn’t recommended, please advise the best practice (e.g., dedicated bucket, separate prefixes, or segregated retention/encryption). Please confirm prerequisites and constraints—cross-cloud connectivity (Azure → AWS), firewall rules, IAM/KMS requirements, bandwidth/egress considerations, and any incremental cost impacts. We are currently using Metallic for Microsoft 365 applications Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.  This was setup by a previous employee, and I am having trouble understanding how it all works.    For Exchange Online and OneDrive for Business, I would like to setup Plans to coordinate with our retention policies.   For example:Standard employees – Retain mailbox and OneDrive data for 2 years after termination.  I created a m365_2yr plan. Can someone please clarify what each of these Retention settings are?Retain deleted items for 730 days – If a user permanently deletes an email or a document from OneDrive, will it purge the deleted items after 730 days even if the user is still active?   Then once a user has been terminated or removed from backups will it retain the data for 2 years after that date?  Retain backed up version for 365 days – what does this refer to?   Does it pertain to Exchange or OneDrive? Thank you in advance for any clarification you can

Hello,I have a couple of questions regarding Commvault Cloud’s API.  I have learned through this forum that to authenticate successfully with Commvault Cloud (CC) API, that I have to give the Base-64 encoded password and add the MFA Pin number.  Which works great with local accounts.  However, with our accounts that are authenticated through Okta (SAML), how is that done? I am trying to add a Tag to a long list of VMs, and the API mentions an EntityID.  When I use the API call to "https://api.metallic.io/V4/VirtualMachines" it gives me a lot of great info but no EntityID.  I tried calling "https://api.metallic.io/V4/VirtualMachines/$vmUUID" to see if that would give an EntityID, but I don’t see an EntityID in the results.  Where can I locate the EntityID?   Thank you!

Has anyone seen this error when using intellisnap to back vm’s up using NetApp [Failed to determine volume and path info. Error[0xEDDD0001:{CvNetAppArrayOps::determineVolumeAndPath(380)/Int.1.0x1-Connection failed. Gmail thinks Commvault is trying to spoof my email address and is consistently marking them as spam.I’ve repeatedly unmarked it and created filters to keep it out of the spam folder without success. I haven’t tried the nuclear option, using a filter to mark it as “Not Spam”, but in my experience, doing that causes a lot of other issues, and real spam bypasses the filters. Thoughts? I have done some restores from M365 OneDrive And exchange online from Commvault Cloud ( Metallic)in Aprik 2025 .Now my auditor wants to see which restore i did in month of April , i dont see name of user in job history.The job history only says, source servers and destination servers ( app name) and not name of users for which i did restore.When i click view logs , it says “ no data available”.is it by design or some issue?

Hello,With the recent enablement of 2FA for all Commvault Cloud environments, I have a question about break glass accounts.  Our company uses Okta and that is set up, so all our domain accounts are not affected by the 2FA enablement.  However, since our break glass account is not on the domain, it is tied to 2FA.  I have it set up to give me a PIN using Microsoft Authenticator.My question is, if I am out of the office or there is a DR situation, how are my teammates able to use the break glass account if needed?  It doesn’t look like the account can have multiple authenticator accounts attached to it.Thank you!

Hi,We have Over than 95K of objects  teams in our tenant O365 and we would backup them but we don’t have any idea of the CV Apps capacities for Teams.We have only the information that for backup SP sites we are limited to 100K sites by apps. it’s the same number for Teams?? Thank you.
