Hi,We’re trying to delete jobs thats having no data left in it. Since we have deleted all data within the subclient. In under the right storage policy viewing jobs we don’t get delete as an option in the rightclick menu.We’re running version 11.32.92 on prem.The subclient is a subclient of a Windows File System that’s been backingup data that should have been purge for several years ago.We’ve managed to delete the files backedup. But the jobs still exist in under the subclient.When trying to delete the subclient we get “The last cycle pertaining to [xxxx] subclient will be kept until those jobs are manually pruned. To confirm this action type …..How do we delete the jobs or prune them directly??

Hi Community ,I’m planning to transition from using storage policies to plans, which are currently configured in our environment.While plans are modern and aligned with future cv direction, I’ve noticed some limitations in flexibility that could influence the decision to continue with storage policies instead.For instance, in storage policies, I can configure multiple copies — say, a Primary and an Offsite copy — and assign different sets of clients to each. For example, 10 clients to the Primary copy and only 5 to the Offsite copy, based on requirements. I haven’t been able to find this level of granular control with Plans. When a plan is assigned to a client, it seems all associated copies are applied uniformly. Am I missing something here?Another concern is around scheduling. If I associate 100 clients to a single plan with one schedule, does that mean all 100 clients will initiate backups simultaneously? Hi  We have multiple archive and cleanup policies, and we want to assign them based on Active Directory (AD) group membership. However, we’re encountering an issue where the default policy takes precedence, even when a user is a member of both the general group and a specific group.Our goal is to ensure that the policy assigned to the specific group overrides the general/default policy. How can we adjust the priority or enforcement logic so that users always receive the more specific policy when they belong to multiple AD groups  

Hi everyone, I have an Commvault account – last month I was still able to access the video training Commvault Support Foundations 2024 - Video Training with my account on https://commvault.csod.com/. the previous platform has been decommissioned and a new portal has been launched instead. I am unable to log in to the new portal https://readiverse.commvault.com/ with my account. Can someone help me with this? I would like to get certified for Commvault. Before posting I reviewed the previous thread but it appears that this is from over a year ago.Need to report some documentation pages that are incorrect but I cant submit a feedback for that particular link because it is under “Expert” and support told me to raise a CMR which seemed not to be the right approach for a documentation review.​What is the proper direction for customers to request for a documentation review/fix? HI together,we are currently using a storage-policy that has an incremental storage-policy attached (for the incremental backups).When we created a plan this kind of setup is no longer possible via Command Center … but it was possible to attach a different (base) plan for the incremental backups via the Commcell Console. (11.32 and 11.36).Is this only working because we are on the lucky side … or is this intended? Is there any ”plan” to attach incremental “plans” via Command Center?Best regards.Michael

Hello all, currently we are facing some performance issues with our disk library, which is a CIFS share provided by our central storage system/appliance.To run some analysis or to troubleshoot the problem further, we thought about to run some tools like IOmeter against the storage system an see how it performs.The question which we are now facing is how we have to configure the tool regarding the workload/storage caracteristica which commvault is creating for a storage system and a deduped library type?for example:80% read20% write4KB IO block size70% random30% sequentialand so on if there are any other values which should be considered. Many thanks and regardsSkoomer

Hello Team, When I get the json payload from the “Equivalent Api” option in Command Center, I see a GUID parameter. What exactly is a GUID, what does it do? Hi,A colleague and I both had pending exam vouchers for the CommVault Foundations exam and have now lost access to https://commvault.csod.com/ I have tried to reset the password for this site, but no password reset is coming through and it looks like the content\exam voucher has not been moved over to the Readiverse portal. Could someone please look into this as these vouchers were valid until 2027 I believe.ThanksJem

Hi all,We have 2 environments using Commvault (Dev - 195 VMs and Prod - 2175 VMs). In testing the REST APIs, I've found that the GET VM API only returns some VMs in the Prod environment. I tested file copy speed via configured SMB shares and found it can reach 5Gbps. I ruled out impacts from server hard drives, NICs, and network switches. After checking the network settings in both the media agent and client properties (no specific configurations were found), where else could the bottleneck be? Thank you!

Hi Team, I am trying to do an automation. As part of this, I want to add a VM that I have pulled as a variable via a form to a subclient first (if the subclient content is full, it will clean it and then add the VM) and I want to trigger the Full backup of the relevant subclient. Which Rest API, qcommand, commvault powershell module etc. can I do this better with and which API or commands can I do it with, can you give me some guidance?Another question is, how can I start the Full backup of a VM that I have pulled as a variable via a form (a VM that I have never backed up before, that Commvault does not know yet)?

Hello everyone,My secondary site has a Windows server connected to HPE MSA disk shelves.  Earlier this year we added another disk shelf but my storage admin now tells me it’s improperly configured and he wants to correct it which will result in the lose of all the files on that individual shelf.  The storage appears to CommVault as J: (51TB), K: (51TB), L: (51TB), and M: (18TB).  It is just the M: allocation that needs to be corrected.All backups have two copies with one at my primary and one at my secondary site so I *should* be able to re-copy the affected backups over to the secondary site once the storage is fixed.  Does anyone know if there’s a procedure or web site that shows how to do this?  It would be the equivalent of recovering from an disk failure.Any help would be appreciated.Ken

I am trying New setup of Live sync.Production commserve Instance002 registration with commserve is failing.As per install.log error is “client registration with commserve could not be completed at this time due to ongoing maintenance”. can any one help? Manual registration with simcallwrapper also failed.
