Is there a way to check the last replication time of the CommServe LiveSync? Or any other way to ensure that the CommServe LiveSync works fine via REST API (or Qcommand)?
Getting ready to deploy Commvault Media Agents to AWS EC2 instances. A pair of Media Agents should do the job. We have several sets of Windows or RedHat Media Agents in our environment. Going with a pair of Windows Media Agents would require us to have a File Recovery Enabler for Linux VM, too. Going with a pair of Linux Media Agents might require us to deploy a Windows proxy/access node VM. Are we able to roll out a mixed pair of Media Agents, instead? One Windows Media Agent, One Linux Media Agent. Same global DDB. I can’t find anything on it. Curious to hear thoughts. Thanks!

Hi,I have several NDMP jobs that I need to run but due to the hardware having a 16 NDMP connection limit, I need to allow each schedules jobs to complete before initiating the next schedule.I am aware that a workflow may be the solution but wondered if anyone had any templates or guides to create the workflow as I am at a loss with the Workflow designer.The schedule has 15 sub-clients in each and all 15 need to complete before the next schedule should run to ensure the hardware limit is not hit. Hello dear community,this is not a problem, but rather a kind of preparation. Our CommCell server is virtualised and runs under VMware. We are planning to upgrade our CommCell from version 11.24.94 to Commvault Platform Release 2023E (11.32). In case something goes wrong during the upgrade process, I was thinking of taking a snapshot of the VM running the CommCell before starting the update and then restoring this snapshot in an emergency to have the machine as it was before the update.Is this a viable option, or does the CommCell not cope so well when a snapshot is imported?Are there any other ways that you can recommend to restore the functionality?Thank you very much for your answers!Best regards,Pascal

Hello I would appreciate an explanation of how I delete the backup from the cloud in order to start over. I tried to delete job - under storage policy -but it deleted only the backups that were added and not the first large copy which is 8 Tera i can delete just only the small job that are added with each backup.I want to literally delete everything and let the backup run again after I remove large VM.thx
Do we have any option to perform Incremental restore.we have tested the Namespace and Application level restore( in and out of place restore). while performing the out of place restore for already existing namespace , if overwrite option is not enabled restoration fails and it succeeds if overwrite option is enabled. In backend this overwrite deletes all the existing resources from the namespaces and recreates again. we are not able to achieve the incremental restore which is not suitable for the TB’s of data size.
Hello, one of our customer want to move away from the Exchange Compliance Archive and the “Offline Contenten Indexing” as a Search Engine infrastructur.The new solution will be the ContentStore Mail Server - SMTP.The customer is planing to recall/restore all old mails from the old archiv into the “new” Client to also remove all the old entries of long retiered systems. Another Painpoint is, the old Search Engine hit the next limit (more then 100M object) and it would require a new Node to be added.Is there any way, to restore the data directly onto the ContentStore Mail Server, or do we need to have the messages restored into the exchange server and push them from there into the Contentstore Mail Server?Or am I missing any other Option for the migration steps?Kind RegardsJoerg
Hello,We are running some pre-DR tests and workflows and I have come across an issue with VMWare VM restores (Windows) to Azure. Basically, the Azure agent does not get installed. The server can be reached through RDP, but other extensions that require the Azure agent, won’t work. I worked with Microsoft and they showed me how to install the agent, both online and offline. However, looking through the documentation, Converting to Azure Resource Manager (metallic.io), I see a mention of installing Hyper-V drivers for Linux, but nothing for Windows machines.Is this normal behavior?Thank you!

Hello, I have some issue with finishing on time with FS Agent backup, the widow time is 6 hours. Till 2 weeks ago i had no probleem with scanning and then starting backup., but now the scan taking to long and then starting of backup taking to long aswell. Here is some logs of last failed backup. The backup staerting at 2AM, the scan finished at 5AM, there is 3 hour more to take the backup and 8 am the job wil be killed because of run time. The amount of files is not really changed

Hi I am trying to change physical disk for the Commvault HyperScale X 2.x node. Hi All, we are actually troubleshooting an perforamnce problem. There is an Sync Copy top Tape ( LTO 8 ) 2 Mediaagents in a ms csv cluster. When we use combinded streams 1 and multiplexing 1 we only get max 400GB/H troughput the normal jobs have 100GB/h mixed data. If we increase the multiplexing to 8 and combided to streams 1 the performence grows up over 1500GB/h . so i have 2 Questions: Is there an limitaion in the stream troughput ? So can 1 Stream only use x GB/h Wich impact has the multiplexing on tape for the DR Restore process, Does it realy impact the performance so the tape getting in wind/rewind process ?

HelloWwe are using optimazed scan for a windows server. But It crates a small database and this dataabse does low space on disk.This DB has been crates on E:\System Volume Information\Commvault\Data Classification I have changed scan method as Recursive Scan and I have added this additional settings. But ITs still having space on disk. can you help how to delete is please?
